Alpha’s Surrogate Chapter 73
“Today I was fortunate enough to meet Luna Adira as well,” the Vampire King said while looking into her blue eyes.
Thank you for the help” she replied, tearing her eyes away.
Why was he giving her that creepy look? And why the hell was the Vampire King on werewolf territory?! Avoiding the fighting
wolves, Cole ran over to help his Lunas.
First he assisted Adira, who was trying to get out of King Alfred’s arms. Before the young Omega had the chance to rescue his
other Luna, he came to a halt when he noticed Alpha Sawyer. He couldn’t come between a Father and daughter.
“Dad!” Kiara gasped at seeing her father. Alpha Sawyer had saved her!
“Kiara, You’re not hurt are you?” Sawyer worriedly cupped his daughter’s cheek. His gaze was drawn to her face and hands. He
was looking for wounds after his daughter had fallen from such a great height.
“No, I am not hurt” Kiara answered slowly, but she wasn’t sure whether she was still alive or not. Her father had never spoken to
her this nicely.
Thank Goddess”‘ The Alpha pulled her into a tight hug. Kiara was shocked and didn’t dare hug him back. What was going on?
Was she really dead and in heaven? She had always sought her father’s affection, and now she finally had it? Was this a reward
for all of her good deeds?
“l am sorry for getting here so late, Kiara. Please forgive your Father.” This brought tears to the Kiara’s eyes. She returned his
hug without saying a word. This wasn’t a dream! Her father was holding her! Sawyer raised one arm, calling out to Adira to join
their hug.
“Dad;” Adira’s eyes welled up when she saw her father. She quickly rushed into his arms while sobbing. Both of the sisters felt
kisses on their heads from their father while he held them tighter.
Sawyer’s heart was racing because he had been afraid of losing both of them. He had nearly had a heart attacked when he had
seen Adira and Kiara falling from a distance. Fortunately, the Vampire King had also entered the pack with him, allowing the two
of them to save the girls. Alan, Sawyer’s Beta, had worked to shield the Alpha’s family and prevented any wolves from attacking
them.

“Martha, Sawyer called his mate’s name softly. Adira and Kiara turned to face their mother, who was smiling at them from behind
their Father. The Luna gazed at the most gorgeous scene she had ever beheld. Her mate was cuddling both of their precious
daughters. She spread her arms when they ran over to hug her.
Sawyer got back to kill a few wolves with Alfred.
“Mom, what is going on here? How did Dad and you get here?
And the Ardara Moon Pack’s members too?”
“We received an invitation to Iris’ wedding from the Alpha twins.
They also called us this morning so that we could visit with the both of you,” Luna Martha explained.
“Dad agreed?!” Both of the sisters exclaimed together. Alpha Sawyer was well known for his ego. So why the hell would he step
into the enemy’s territory?
“Yes, Sawyer agreed. Actually he had planned to ask your mates about setting up a visit. We wanted to see you two but the
twins had already given us the opportunity. But I did not know it would be a war zone instead of a wedding reception,” Martha
frowned.
Stephen had been watching everything unfold from the third floor let out a big sigh of relief. His granddaughters-in-mate were
safe.
“f**k! | think the Moon Goddess wants to kill me soon” he grumbled as he turned to look at his grandsons. The corridor had
devolved into chaos! The twins had already changed into their wolves in order to kill Petra and Orion. They had already charged
towards Petra and Orion as soon as they knew that their mates were in safe hands.
Zander’s wolf Evan had already attacked Orion. The black Alpha wolf had thrown Orion’s gray wolf so hard that two more wolves
had collapsed under his weight. Groaning in pain, he got up and ran down the stairs. Zander cursed under his breath as he
watched Orion run away. After what he had done to Adira, the only way he was going to leave this territory was in a body bag.
Stephen punched one of Petra’s wolves who had come over to demonstrate his strength. The old wolf already had his
bodyguards battling and defending him, so he didn’t need to shift until it was absolutely necessary.
He watched his other grandson. Xavier had not let Dean take over control. He continued to hold Dean back so that he could face
Petra in his human form as if she were a tiny fly. That crazy female was still laughing even though her neck was in Xavier’s

grasp. She thought that she had killed Kiara and Adira.
“If l don’t kill you today then I’m not an Alpha!!” Xavier roared, yanking Petra’s hair firmly, but she continued to laugh until Xavier
took her to the balcony and threw her over it.
“AHHHHH!” Her laugh turned into a fearful scream when she realized that she was about to die. Her senses came back to her
quickly but it was already too late. She was going to die! Xavier had really tossed her over the railing like Orion had to Kiara.
Petra shifted into her wolf form in mid-air and groaned as she collapsed on the ground. She would have died but her wolf had
managed to protect her.
“Kill them all!” Kiaden gave the command to his fellow pack mates that were in the corridor with them. They had already shifted
into their wolf form and were running towards their enemy to obey his demand.
“Kaiden, you stay here near Jennifer. I will handle the rest,” Tyler offered, his eyes full of guilt. Orion had used his face to fool the
others. Now Kaiden was having to fight after learning about his pup.
Nobody knew how Jennifer and the baby were doing.
“No, I’ll join the fight, Tyler. I know Jennifer wouldn’t want me to leave the pack members alone at a time like this. Let’s go and
fight with Xavier and Zander!” He responded by changing into his wolf.
Tyler followed behind him with a nod. It looked like World War ll until they got out in front of the pack house. Orion had brought
twice the amount of wolves to attack the pack than he had last time. But the Vampire King had also brought many warriors and
they were crushing Petra’s wolves.
That didn’t even include the numbers that Alpha Sawyer led from his pack! Both of the Lunas were being protected by the Ardara
Moon Pack’s wolves. There was a big white she-wolf that was actively shielding both Kiara and Adira. Without a doubt, she was
Luna Martha! The Luna with her blue eyes, had been protecting her daughters because they couldn’t shift to do so themselves.
Orion had enlisted the aid of his wolf pals, so he was now acting haughtily. He used his powers to target Zander’s shoulder. He
was distracting him, so that the younger Alpha had no idea what he was going to do next.
Tyler and Lena were slaughtering the other wolves outside the pack house. Due to the fact that there were so many of them,
Alpha Harvey had joined the Gamma couple along with Iris. His Blue Moon Pack mates and Beta worked alongside them to slay
many of their foes. Petra ‘s wolves now wanted to kill Harvey because he had severed his relationship with her.

Xavier remained in his human form rather than transforming into his wolf as he circled Petra’s wolf. It was a significant insult to
her because he did not honor her by allowing her to fight with his wolf. They were in front of the pack house, where Adira
watched Zander clash against Orion. She was getting tired of seeing his arms covered in blood.
That filthy hybrid was deceiving her mate and messing with his brain. This was the first time he couldn’t understand the enemy.
Orion was one of the reasons for that. He was familiar with Zander’s fighting style. He was aware of all of Zander’s strengths.
Their fight had taken place in the open but neither of them were willing to accept defeat. Orion’s foot had been gravely damaged
despite his repeated efforts to use magic. Evan had chewed at his foot almost to the point of making him handicap.
Kiara was worried as to why Xavier was not shifting. His th!ghs were bleeding. Petra had scratched him quite badly. Kiara
wanted nothing more than to join him in the fight so that she could kill Petra with her own hands but her Mother had instructed
her not to even think about it. Petra’s brown wolf looked insane. She attacked Xavier, ready to tear his body into pieces.
The Alpha let her jump on him then flipped her wolf into the nearby wall of the pack house. She howled in pain but got up quickly
to attack again.
fk!’ She screamed through the mind-link when she got up and found Dean standing right behind her. Why the fk had he suddenly
shifted? In a split second, Dean pounced on her stomach tearing into the flesh at her side. She howled in pain which caused
Orion to look over at her. He wanted to go and save her but Zander had pinned him under his body using all of his weight.
He had no idea how but Zander had broken through his magic.
First the Alpha had seen three versions of Orion. They were attacking him from every angle until he noticed that only one of the
Orions had a shadow. Zander had figured him out! Adira jumped up and down when she realized how her mate had turned the
tables on his opponent.
Orion, who had just delivered a kick and got up on his feet again then jumped on Zander from behind. But he was tricked when
Zander dodged him. He was well aware that losers like Orion were more than willing to attack from behind. This caused Orion’s
wolf to be hit by a sharp object in his back. His wolf whimpered in pain when the rod-like object made contact with his bones.
He did not get a chance to heal as Zander was not willing to stop until Orion’s soul left his body. When Orion saw Evan chasing
him like crazy he realized that he had to run in order to save his life. His foot had been chewed by Evan and now his spine was
badily injured on top of it. He could not fight in this condition.

His eyes roamed over the fighting searching for Petra who was being beaten by Xavier mercilessly even though she was in her
wolf form. She had already lost one of her ears. Her blood lay in puddles on the ground all over the place. Her condition was no
better than his.
He howled, calling his wolves for help. They arrived a moment later, supporting him until Orion could push Xavier from behind. If
he had been a second later Dean would have ripped Petra’s throat out.
“We need to run away!’ Orion mind-linked Petra motioning for her to follow him. She jumped to her feet and fled in fear. She was
thankful that Orion had come to help her. Most of their wolves had perished as a consequence of the vampires and Ardara Moon
Pack’s sudden appearance. That meant that no matter how hard they fought, they would inevitably die at the hands of the twins.
She was terrified of dying.
What she really wanted was to flee the Sirius Bright Pack with Orion.
Petra and Orion didn’t dare turn around since they knew the twins were following them. Kiaden and Tyler had assassinated the
others who had been assisting them in their escape. Kiara and Adira ran behind their mates when they moved further away from
the pack house.
Everywhere they looked there were dead bodies laying on the ground. Orion’s eyes were wide in fear when he realized that all of
his wolves had died! Only the two of t hem were left but ow it seemed that it was their turn. Petra and he came to a stop when
Alpha, Sawyer and King Alfred stepped into their path blocking their escape with their warriors fanned out behind them.
What should we do?’ Petra panicked asking her lover.
Let’s run into the woods; he mind-linked her back but as they turned in that direction. While Tyler and Kiaden ran towards them in
their human form. They were surrounded by the enemies, both of them began to hesitantly back up until they heard a growl.
Petra startled and looked back, finding the Alpha twins standing behind them already wearing their jeans that Cole had provided
to them when they shifted back.
“Don’t tell me you were running away again Petra” Xavier grinned evilly, moving closer to her as she looked around frantically for
a way out. She needed to escape again, she was completely out of her mind in panic. The sins she had committed against him
would never be forgiven by Xavier, the blonde woman was well aware of that. If the Alpha King arrived, he would not be able to
assist her and Orion.
Adira kicked her in the face with the sharp heel of her sandal just when Petra believed she thought she saw an opening for her
escape. Kiara really wanted to break her legs. Her hands had been itching to rip her to pieces. Petra yelled in agony then

instantly shifted back into her human form.
“You still want to run? You hurt my feelings Petra!” Xavier seized her by the neck slamming her into the ground so hard that the
back of her head busted open and began to bleed. In an instant, she was flung into the arms of a couple of warriors who knew
what the Alpha intended. She had blacked out due to pain.
Orion growled and struggled when Kaiden and Tyler pulled him to the ground as they wrapped a heavy silver chain around his
wrists. The silver ate away at his body so badly that he screamed in pain. His wolf felt like he was about to die but he bore the
pain. He had witnessed Petra’s downfall into her current pathetic condition and refused to follow her down that path. There was
no way that he would willingly shift back into his human form.
“That’s great. Don’t shift!” That was when he felt a large strong hand on the back of his neck that shoved his face into the
ground.
Zander did not even let him whimper, he just kept pushing him harder and harder until Orion suffocated and was forced to shift
back into his human form in order to obtain some much needed air.
“Please...please forgive me,” he begged the Alpha. Instead he was brutally dragged using the chains that bound him until he
was strung up by both arms on a set of posts while his painful scream echoed around them.
Petra, who had been knocked unconscious, opened her eyes after a couple of minutes only to witness Orion’s body being strung
up by his arms that were tied by a silver chain. He was badly beaten, it looked like if he were hit again then he would die.
“orion!” She cried out in pain at seeing his condition. The Vampire King Alfred and his right hand man Kane were the only
vampires left on the territory. He had sent the rest of his men home.
Alpha Sawyer was standing with Luna Martha to the side. All the other ranking members of the Sirius Bright Pack were also
there. All of them had nothing but a sneer for Petra as she was also chained.
Petra watched Kiara and Adira as they stood on the opposite side of the clearing, this time they looked normal like they actually
had sympathy for Petra. But the Alpha twins were missing, That was not a good sign. What were they planning for them? She
watched as the sun set then she witnessed Zander appear behind Orion.
“No!” She shivered when she realized his evil intention towards her lover.
“What are you going to do with him? Let us go!” She cried when she saw what was in the Alpha’s hand, it looked familiar to her.

“Don’t worry, you will be following him soon, Petra.”
Petra’s heart dropped in her stomach when she suddenly heard Xavier’s whispered words in her ears from behind. She shivered
when she felt his hand on her face.
“Xav... Xavier.” she shuddered. It was absolutely terrifying for her when she could not see his face but his aura was already
suffocating her wolf.
“Please, let us go. I beg you she closed her eyes in fear while crying.
“You should have thought twice before attacking my mate and my pup!” Xavier roared, grabbing her hair. She could finally see
his face.
“Now you get to see what we Lincoln’s do to our enemies” he whispered while staring into her eyes then forced her watch what
Zander was doing.
“What is that? No... don’t... please... l am.... sorry!” Orion begged weakly to keep what had been placed at his neck away.
“Trust me, this time you are not getting any land for a proper burial, Orion. You should have never laid your dirty eyes on my
Adira, ” Zander stated.
“No! Don’t do it! He will die!” Petra screamed as she watched Zander stab the device that was filled with vampire’s venom and an
insect that had the ability to suck all the blood from a body.
“Watch!!” Xavier clutched her cheeks tightly forcing her to witness her lover’s death. Orion cried in pain as the insect began to
s*ck his blood at lightning speed.
Adira placed her hand over her mouth in fear at seeing this side of her mate. Not even in her nightmares she had thought that he
would kill Orion so brutally.
“No!!! Stop!! Orion!!!” Petra screamed over and over again until her eyes and face were bright red. Tears were falling from her
eyes until she felt them burning. In less than half a minute all of the blood in his body had been sucked up like they had done to
many of the Sirius Bright Pack’s wolves. His screaming stopped when he died right in front of her eyes.
“Don’t leave me, Orion,” she whimpered one last time then closed her eyes in pain. She had lost him. She had lost her first love.
He had left her forever. She had never thought she would have to watch her beloved die.

That was when Petra felt someone’s hand on her wrist.
“What are you doing!” She yelled at Xavier who slit her first one wrist.
“Reuniting you with your Orion,” he replied, grabbing her another wrist as she did her best to struggle.
“No! Don’t do this. You are trying to kill my wolf!” She screamed.
She understood that he was performing the ritual that would separate a wolf from their human. He smirked and slit her other
wrist mercilessly.
“AHHH! Dont kill my wolf, Xavier” Petra cried. Kiara’s entire body shivered at witnessing his cruelty. She knew that the act that he
was committing existed in this world but few survived it. Was she going to witness this cruelty that was perpetrated by her mate?
She wanted to stop him but she did not dare as she knew he would not listen to her. But she was afraid for some reasons.
That was when Kiara saw Kane passing by her with wolfsbane in his hand. Xavier gestured to him and he proceeded towards
Petra.
“No! I will kill you if you put that in my wounds!” She shrieked at Kane but he did not falter. He held her wrist and started to apply
the substance into her wounds.
“Xavier, stop him. Please don’t kill me! Behead me but don’t do this!” She begged in tears. The Alpha flat out ignored her which
angered her.
“Don’t forget that if you want to kill my wolf you need to offer something precious in exchange for success in the ritual! If I die
then you will lose something that could destroy your life as well! I will die but you will also not be happy!” She cursed him before
crying out in pain as the wolfsbane seeped into her wound.
Then I am ready to lose whatever it takes as long as it is not Kiara and my pup, Xavier said, cutting the chains that were holding
Petra. Her body fell to the ground as a horrible pain filled cry echoed in the clearing which scared Kiara. Petra’s wolf was
separating from her body.
“No! Stop this Xavier!” Kiara yelled and ran over to him. He immediately grabbed her hand before she could touch Petra.
“Let her die!” He growled, pulling her close to his chest.

“We can’t let her die, Xavier. Didn’t you hear her, you’Il have to give up something valuable in exchange? Why? She will die and
you will lose. It is insane. I am not willing to let you lose anything, Xavier, she whispered, taking his hand in hers.
“Kiara, calm down” Xavier slipped his hands down her arms to hold her as she shivered. She was tOo panicked to think of the
consequences.
“How can I calm down? No, I can’t believe you right now, Xavier.
Let Petra go. Dont kill her wolf. We have taken enough revenge. Now just punish her according to royal law and that’s all. But
don’t do this” she pleaded in even further worry.
“I swear I will die if anything happens to you,” tears gathered in her eyes. When she tried to get closer to her Petra who was now
shifting into wolf form for the last time before she was going to lose it forever.
“Don’t go any closer to her,” Xavier pulled her back just before Petra shifted then shifted back into her human form with one last
pain filled scream. Everyone present in the clearing saw the most horrifying scene of their lives. Petra looked terrified when her
wolf died. Her body fell limp on the ground as she lost her Wolf forever Kiara’s eyes welled up when she realized that she had
taken her last breath.
“No, now what will happen?” Kiara’s eyes widened when she realized that she could not do anything. She had not been able to
save Petra’s wolf and now she died as well. That meant that Xavier was also going to lose something.
“Remove her body!” Zander ordered two of his warriors who quickly followed the orders. Kiara kept watching them as they
dragged Petra’s and Orion’s corpses away.
“Shhh, don’t look at her” Xavier turned her face towards him.
“Now everything has ended, Kiara. Petra got what she deserved.
You don’t need to be afraid of anyth ing. Nothing will happen to me,” Xavier promised, whipping away her tears.
“You are not lying to me?” She asked, biting her l!p.
“Yes, see l am alive and talking to you,” he chuckled.
“Don’t talk like that! I will die if something happens to you,” she punched him in the chest, then hugged him tightly while crying.

Xavier laughed, returning her embrace. She did not tip toe around things, she pulled him down to her height and buried her face
into his neck, taking in his calming whiskey and orange scent.
“Let’s go home, Xavier” she murmured. Xavier pulled away from her.
“Yes, let’s go,” he smiled, kissing her forehead. She smiled back, holding his hands.
