Alpha’s Rejected Second Chance Mate by Pradeep

Chapter 54

Chapter 54

Theo’s P.O.V.

“Whatever serum he gave to save her managed to reduce the effects of poison on her b*dy, but she is still weak. It’s really a miracle that she managed to stay alive

but his after so many wounds,” the pack doctor, Albert, told us in a calm tone, words were enough to infuriate both me and Killian.

“The conclusion is that we failed to keep her safe when we were with her there,”

“We gaze. Killian muttered angrily, and I looked at him with a blank underestimated their strength,” I tried to comfort him, but he scoffed. I sighed and looked at Albert once again. “When will she wake up, Albert?” I asked him in a calm

tone

He took a deep breath and looked between me and Killian with a troubled expression on his face. “What is it?” Killian asked him in a pissed–off tone. “She is still unconscious because of her wolf, my prince,” Albert answered him with some hesitation, making all the lines on my forehead go straight immediately.

“What do you mean by this?” I asked him in a worried tone. Thunder was now pacing restlessly inside my mind. Albert took a deep breath before looking back at me. “Her wolf used her strength to save her human from the poison, Alpha Theo. Although the injuries are serious, but it’s still her wolf on the surface,” he answered me, and I gasped in shock. Hunter howled in pain. I felt Killian’s hand on my shoulder, but my eyes were glued on Albert now.

“I am sorry, Alpha Theo, but none of us can do anything in this matter. Crystal is trapped inside her mind, and can come out only when her wolf will allow her. She managed to dodge death this time, thanks to Alpha Nelson’s help,” he continued, and I felt that someone had punched hard on my chest, knocking all the air out of my lungs. I staggered on my feet, but Killian held me tightly.

“You…. You are kidding, right? I would have felt if… if something like that happened. to them,” I tried to deny what he said. Now I remembered that I didn’t feel anything related to her pain or her physical condition when I should have because we were mated wolves. “Her wolf is the strongest wolf that I have ever seen in my whole life span, Alpha Theo. She blocked everything, including the pain of death, and that’s why, you are still strong,” he answered me in a calm tone, but his words. were like daggers to me.

“She… she tried to keep us safe when we should be the one to keep her safe,” Thunder howled in pain again, and I clutched my chest. The fear of losing my mate engulfed my heart and my soul completely. “Relax, Theo… she is alright now,

and she will wake up soon,” Killian tried to comfort me, but I felt numb from everything right now. “You should stay with her, Alpha Theo. Use your mate bond to give her the strength that she needs right now,” Albert said in a low tone

I gulped hard, and looked at Killian with tearful eyes. I could see pain in his eyes. too. Both Killian and Crystal had formulated the sibling bond between them already. Both of us were confused when she collapsed in the battle field because none of us felt anything strange through her bonds with us. Her pain might weaken us, and she knew this. She endured all her pain, and didn’t let her know that she was suffering during the fight.

“How could she do this to us, Killian? She… she endured all the pain alone when she could share it with us,” I continued, and Killian’s grip on my shoulders. tightened. “She is going to get a good earful from me after waking up,” he muttered, but it was now enough to comfort me. Albert excused himself after that, leaving both of us outside her room. It had been almost a day that she was unconscious. I needed to return to my pack as soon as possible, but couldn’t. We were near to the Royal Pack, and that was why, we returned here instead of carry on our journey to my pack.

“She will be okay, and I am sure that she will wake up soon,” Killian comforted me, but I scoffed bitterly this time. “Let’s go to her, Theo. She needs you,” he urged me in a low tone. I closed my eyes and tried to suppress the pain in my chest right now. “Let’s go to her,” Thunder also urged, and I sighed internally. I slowly opened. my eyes after some time.

“Let’s go,” I replied to Killian, and he slowly removed his hands from my shoulders after patting them lightly. We both entered the room together. My heart once again ached when I saw how pale she was looking right now. “Those bastards went too far this time. They declared the war by attacking her,” Thunder roared angrily, but I agreed with him.

I sat down on the stool beside the bed, and took her hand in mine. Her hands were still cold which was unlikely for a werewolf. I rubbed her hand to pass some warmth to it while looking at her paled and unconscious face. “I think, we should call an emergency alpha meeting, and have to discuss our strategy,” Killian suggested after some time, but I was not in a mood of politics right now.

“There is no use of doing that,” we both looked in the direction of the door when we heard alpha Nelson’s voice. Alpha Nelson entered the room with the king. It returned my gaze to my mate when they stopped near the bed. Both of them had a calm face, still I could see worries for Crystal in their eyes.

“What do you mean by that?” Killian asked him in an annoying tone. After

Knowing the truth about the kidnapping incident of his mother, and the

involvement of Alpha Nelson in that, Killian was now comfortable with him, but there was something strange about Alpha Nelson that was still giving me a nagging feeling at the back of my mind. “I felt that too, especially his wolf,” Thunder supported my feelings.

“You should take advantage of the advanced human technology, and instead of summoning all of them here, try to arrange an online meeting with them. We

Alpha don’t have much time to call all of them here, and then decide what to do Nelson proposed in a calm tone, but his advice made me raise my brows in surprise. It would exactly be Crystal’s thought in this condition.
