Chapter 50
Chapter 50
Killian’s P.O.V.
“We need to go back, Killian. The pack needs us right now,” Theo said in a serious tone after finishing explaining about the attack on his pack. Crystal also had a stone face right now, but I knew that she was fuming in anger inside.
“I understand, Theo, and I will make arrangements for your safe journey. It will be better if you go back tomorrow morning instead of travelling in the night,” I agreed with him, and suggested in a gentle tone. He looked at Crystal while pursing his l*ps into a thin line. Crystal was still having her eyes on the projector screen where Theo explained what he observed from the last attacks on different packs. I must say that Theo was a keen observant.
“We will travel tonight,” suddenly Crystal announced, making all of us snapped our heads towards her, and I narrowed my eyes in confusion. “They are highly active in night, and it can be dangerous for us, Crystal,” Theo said to her in a low but worried tone. I knew that he was concerned about her safety, not about him.
Crystal slowly averted his gaze from the screen to him, having a cold expression on her eyes. “You missed the crucial part of this report,” she said to him, and he jerked his head backward while knitting his brows in confusion.
“They attacked on us when it was around 8 in the morning as we left the pack early in the morning to avoid travelling in the afternoon. All their attacks were around early hours in the morning or in the darkness of night,” she explained in a low, and cold tone while looking at him. I narrowed my eyes when I processed what she wanted to say.
“It means that they have the basic weakness of a vampire. They can’t stand the sun heat,” Edward murmured, and I chewed on my inner cheeks. I must say that both Theo, and Crystal were a couple made only for each other. “That’s why, it will be dangerous for us to travel in night, love,” Theo said to her in a low but gentle tone.
She shook her head negatively and then looked at me this time. “We killed more than fifteen hybrids in the last attack. I counted all the dead hybrids in these attacks, and their number is around 60. The total abducted, and missing
olves are around 150 m the past four years. This number excluded the
wolves missing from the Night Crawl Pack. According to the data about missing werewolves found dead, their number is around 35. If my guess was right then the number of dead werewolves is greater than this as it might be possible that we failed to get all the dead bodies,” she paused and took a deep breath.
I was now really interested to know what she wanted to say, because it was piquing my interest now. “These hybrids are now less than fifty in numbers, and if we put everything together piece by piece, we will observe that it’s hard. to convert a werewolf in a hybrid. Some of the hybrids are also injured during the last attack yesterday night. The higher possibility is that they will not attack us for a good few days. If they do, then it will be casy for us to finish them tonight,” she explained further, and I was really surprised to hear her observation.
“But it’s risky. You are taking a risk on your life, Crystal,” Edward said in a worried tone, and a cold smile appeared on her l*ps. “They attacked my pack, Edward, and almost killed more than fifteen warriors. I am not thinking about
them. I will go with preparation to kill them,” she
sacrificing myself to a
answered him in a cold tone, making me smirk in the end.
“I agree with Crystal. This time, our priority is to stop them from abducting more werewolves and also finished these hybrids to erase the danger lurking around us. We can travel late in the night, and forced them to fight with us till sunrise. It will be hard for them to hide from the sunlight in that case, and hence,” Nathan gave his assumption, and I looked at Edward who was biting his lower l*p furiously while listening to them.
“Still… it include risking our lives, Nathan,” Theo interrupted him, and Nathan. frowned immediately. “You want to say that we can win a battle without. risking our lives, huh?” Crystal taunted Theo who face went cold immediately. I groaned in frustration internally. The last I wanted was an argument between them. Although they were the best couple, still they had their own individual thoughts, and idea, which led to disagreement often.
“Crystal is right that your back journey can be a good opportunity for us to finish these hybrids, but the darkness of night can be a bid hurdle in our victory. They are vicious in these hours of the day. We can force them to face. the sunlight, but we still don’t know how much vulnerable they are in front of sunlight.” I defended Theo here because I was also worried about Crystal’s safety.

“Still it doesn’t change the fact that we have to take a risk during our back journey at any time of the day. They possess this basic weakness of vampires, but not the advanced vampires. We were about to be attacked by the vampires, and I am sure that they are still waiting for us outside the pack,” Crystal retorted in a p i s s e d tone.
“Sorry to interrupt this conversation, but I request to give me only three hours before we decide whether you should leave tonight or in the morning tomorrow,” Edward interrupted us while asking in a calm tone. I didn’t know what was going on in his mind, but I needed to support him right now.
“What do you have in your mind?” Theo asked him in a calm tone. “I need to confirm some of my suspicion, and also I am coming with you to your pack. You have captured three of them. I need to interrogate them,” Edward answered him in a serious tone, and I narrowed my eyes in confusion again.
