Alpha’s Rejected Second Chance Mate by Pradeep

Chapter 39

Chapter 39

Theo’s P.O.V.

“The rumour is that he killed his fated mate because he didn’t want a mate for himself. He never got a second chance, leaving him unmated until now. He still didn’t have any heirs to take care of his pack after him,” Nathan told me about Alpha Nelson Rosewood and the rumours associated with them. Although Nathan’s voice was calm, but I could feel how disgusted he was with this pathetic alpha.

“Why would the Moon Goddess give him a second chance when he killed his first mate instead of rejecting her, huh? The Moon Goddess loved her pups, and there is no way that she will give someone a second chance when he is this cruel,” Crystal spat angrily, making me chuckle at her reaction.

To be honest, I had the same opinion about this alpha. Killing your fated mate. is completely different from rejecting your mate. At least the latter gave you. hope of living your life while waiting for a second chance. It was hard to get a second chance, but most of the rejected wolves got their second chance and lived their lives happily after that.

“Did we get any information about what happened between him and the queen before her disappearance, huh?” I asked Nathan once again, and he sighed aloud while jerking his head. He took ten days to investigate that alpha, and I could see how exhausted he was right now. The alpha had covered his tracks so well. He then looked at Crystal and then back at me with a calm gaze.

“What is it?” I asked him while raising my brows. The way he looked at Crystal, I was sure that he had something that he didn’t want to say in front of Crystal.. He put his hands on the table before moving the file toward me. “The thing is that he was in love with the queen,” he told us, and Crystal gasped in shock. I was too shocked to hear what he said.

“What are you saying, Nathan?” Crystal almost screamed at him in horror and picked up the file from the table. “I am telling you what I learned, Crystal. They grew up together and were good friends until he proposed to her as his chosen mate after attaining his age. Your mother was still underage at that time. She refused immediately and even scolded him in front of the whole. pack, Nathan continued, and I felt a headache while processing what he said.

Your grandfather forbade him to approach your mother, our queen, after that

night. I was sure that he must have sensed his ambition, and greed towards. power. He was the second–strongest warrior of that pack at that time. He didn’t protest, but I guess he waited for your mother to attain her age so that she could recognize him as her mate, but unfortunately, it never happened,” Nathan continued, and I felt a headache hitting the walls of my head. mercilessly.

There was silence in the room, but it was suffocating. Crystal was now reading the file with a complicated expression on her face. She was infuriated, and disturbed at the same time. I knew that what we came to know about alpha. Nathan Rosewood was quite disturbing, but it increased my suspicion towards Nelson that he could be the one behind the queen’s kidnapping.

“In the past few years, Alpha Nelson has increased his territory by defeating so many small packs around him. He killed the whole alpha family of those packs mercilessly before merging them with his pack. He didn’t even spare the infants,” Nathan said further after a while in a cold tone, but this piece of information was enough to make me growl angrily.

“I am telling you what he did, Theo, and one more thing that I forgot to mention,” he continued and suddenly straightened his posture, shifting his position on the chair. “What is it?” Crystal asked him this time in a cold tone.

“Although he is very cunning in covering his tracks, I got some evidence that proved that he also has connections with vampires,” Nathan answered her in at calm tone. I took a deep breath while running my fingers through my hair in frustration.

“Vampires? Is he f**king out of his mind? How could he do this?” Crystal yelled this time. Her whole b*dy trembled in anger, making me get worried for her. I was also infuriated by this piece of information but she was my concern right now.

I immediately stood up and went near her. I put my hands on her shoulders as she was now shaking in anger. “Yes, Crystal…. He is a psychopath who is obsessed with getting more power, and he could do anything to get what he wants. That’s why, I am pretty sure that he is the one behind your mother’s kidnapping, and this is my gut feeling that your mother is still inside the Night Crawl Pack,” Nathan answered her again in a calm tone, but he was confident

about what he said.

“Can it be possible that he used vampires against my mother?” Crystal asked

him in a hesitant tone after some time, and he just sighed while looking at her helplessly. She clenched the file that she had in her hands tightly. I could feel anger and frustration radiating out of her b*dy.

“What about the rogue vampires and wolves activities around his pack?” Crystal suddenly asked him another question, and I narrowed my eyes in confusion. “You are really smart, Crystal,” Nathan chuckled, and I glared at him. Although he was complimenting her this is not the time for jokes. “According to the information that I managed to gather about him and his. pack, The vampires had been frequently seen around his pack after he killed tly seen around his pack after he killed your grandfather and became the alpha. Also, it is reported that he gave all the members who were in support of your grandfather to the vampires. He didn’t even spare their families,” Nathan answered her, but the information was enough to make both me and Crystal pissed to the maximum.

“And yet he is free and ruling a pack, huh?” Crystal screamed and banged the file on the table. “Calm down, love… don’t work up,” I immediately tried to calm her down, but she snapped her head towards me and glared hard at me, making me looked at her with a hurtful gaze. I was not one who did all these things. Why she was angry at me?

the

“How could I calm down after learning all these things, Theo? That pack belongs to my grandfather and my mother. I can say that I am indirectly. related to that pack. He did inhuman things with the pack members and you are asking me to stay calm?” she vented her anger on me, and I just looked at her helplessly.

“You need to talk with your father, our king, about this, Crystal. He is powerful enough to bring Nelson down, but he didn’t take any action against him all these years,” Nathan said in a serious tone, and I bit my lower l*p while processing what he said. “I want to go to the Royal Pack,” she suddenly demanded, and stood up abruptly. I removed my hands from her shoulders and went in front of her.

“Call him first,” I asked her and she scoffed while glaring at me. “You think that this matter can be resolved over a phone call?” she questioned me in an angry tone. I shook my head negatively. “I know that this can’t be solved over a phone call, Crystal, but don’t forget that we still don’t know who is after you,” I tried to make her understand why I didn’t want her to go out of the pack.

Her eyes went dark immediately making me sigh internally. Luna was now

trying to surface and it wouldn’t go well if she surfaces. “Calm down, Luna…. try to understand the engrave danger in taking a decision in haste,” I tried to reason her, and the next second, I was pushed by her harshly, and was on my butt on the ground. Nathan gasped aloud, and my eyes widened in shock.

She growled aloud, shaking the whole pack house to its core. “Do I look like someone who can sit inside the walls to save her ass, alpha?” Luna snarled while asking me in a taunting tone. This was when Thunder lost his cool, and I was pushed inside while he took control. The next second, both of them were face to face with each other, showing their canines to each other.

“Try to control, Luna, Crystal. This is not going to bring anything good,” I mind–linked Crystal in a worried tone. I grimaced when I realized that she had blocked me right now. “Back out, Luna…. you are no match to me,” Thunder threatened Luna in a cold tone.

“Try me, alpha,” she challenged him through her teeth, and Thunder roared at the top of his lungs while towering over Luna. “Luna…… Thunder……… hold up,” suddenly my father’s commanding voice echoes in the room, but none of them was ready to hold themselves back.

Thunder was now growling in anger. He was pissed because of the disrespect Luna showed to him. I was also pissed but this was not the time to fight with each other. Thunder was challenged by his mate, and there was no way that he would let this slide so easily.

“Luna… Thunder,” my dad commanded both of them again, this time raising his voice at us. Thunder roared aloud, showing his canines to Luna, and then stormed out of the room. He could answer her challenge, but he didn’t want to hurt his mate so did I, but it was impossible for both of us to stand the disrespect that she showed towards us.

Everyone who came in our way immediately move away from us in fear as we were in a half–shift state. I was also seething in anger, but I was more concerned about Thunder. He started running towards the forest as soon as het stepped out of the pack house. Alpha Nelson Rosewood was nothing but a parasite who spoiled everything by the mere mention of his name too.

The feud between Luna and Thunder was because of him, and I swore that I would make him pay for today. “Calm down, Thunder…. I am sure that it was only a spur of the moment. You know that they love us more than ourselves,” I tried to calm down Thunder, but he growled at me, making me sigh

internally.

I stopped fighting for control because it would a futile effort right now. He went deep into the forest near our borders. He stopped in front of a thick tree. He was breathing heavily due to his anger. He roared in anger once again and started punching the bark of the tree. The tree was thick enough to get the hit but not for long.

Suddenly her scent filled the area, and Thunder’s fist stopped right in front of her face when she suddenly appeared in front of us. My heart almost leapt out of my chest at the stunt she pulled right now. She gulped hard but kept her face calm.

“I am sorry,” she murmured while approaching Thunder. It was Crystal, not Luna. Thunder growled lowly but retreated his fist back. She slowly came closer to him, and the sparks erupted everywhere in my b*dy when she embraced me. “I am sorry…. I am really sorry for my outburst, Thunder. You know that I love you so much, right” Crystal coaxed my wolf, making me smile at her attempt.
