Chapter 19
Killian’s POV
Never in my dreams had I thought that I would meet my sister like this. My sister whose presence in this world was not known to me. My sister who was one of the brilliant wolves in our world….. my sister who was an exact copy of my mother. My sister, who had a strong and brave personality she didn’t let the rejection of her first mate pull her down.
I couldn’t tell how many times I thanked the Moon Goddess in my heart for sending the Spears couple to save her that day. Although they couldn’t see my mother, they not only saved Crystal but also gave her everything that a parent couple could give to their child. She got the love and care of the family that she truly deserved.
I was still sitting in the living room with Edward. Edward didn’t say a word to me, but his presence was enough to keep me calm. William had his alpha ceremony in a few hours, but he was still here with us. “They need to go to see the preparation,” Edward said, and I nodded. Martha and Theo were with Crystal in her room. She fainted half an hour ago. I couldn’t blame her, though. The discovery was a great shock to me too.
“William,” I called him after some time. He looked at me with a complicated expression on his face. “You should go out now,” I said further, and he pursed his l*ps into a thin line. “O My Luna Sylvia exclaimed while face palming herself. She was sitting on the other couch in front of me.
“We should head out now. I am sure that everyone has started gathering there,” she said while looking at Warrick and William. “I don’t want to leave Crystal in this state, Sylvia. The ceremony can wait,” William said in a stiff tone, making me smile lightly. William and Vincent filled the vacant place of a brother in her life.
“Crystal is with Theo, William. She is safe, and you know her. She will be disappointed after waking up if you mess up the event,” she scolded him in a gentle tone. I knitted my brows when I felt something odd here. Why did Theo stay with Crystal? Did I miss something here?
“O yeah.. O yeah,” suddenly Vincent chirped, as if he had discovered something very precious, or he had won a big lottery. “What happened?” William looked at him with a pi ssed-off expression on his face. “It. It means that Crystal doesn’t have to reject Theo. They can be together,” Vincent said in excitement, and I furrowed my brows in surprise. Rejection????? “O yeah… he is right… if Crystal is not your biological sister then she is not Theo’s cousin by blood too. It means that,” Luna Sylvia chirped this time with the same expression as Vincent. William’s eyes also lit up, and I looked at them while processing why they were so happy now. “O My Goddess…… she doesn’t have to go through the pain of rejection… what a relief, Warrick exclaimed while breathing in relief.
“Theo is Crystal’s mate?” I asked them to confirm, and they all looked at me immediately. “Yes, Prince Killian…. We were supposed to discuss this matter with you when you came here because this was the first time that cousins turned out mates. Crystal was so tensed due to anxiety that she had to reject Theo because of the relationship between them… think that now she is not to be anxious,” Luna Sylvia explained the situation to me, and I nodded with a genuine small smile on my l*ps.
“You are right. They don’t have any direct blood relationships between them now. It means that Theo has his Luna with him now,” I answered her in a calm tone, and she clapped aloud in excitement. “Calm down, love,” her mate, Alpha Sylvester, immediately scolded her in a loving tone. “How can I calm down….. you know that Crystal was not the only one who was tensed and worried. I couldn’t sleep well for the past four nights because I was scared that they had to reject each other because of the blood relationship they have,” she scolded him back immediately.
“I know that it was a big blow for Crystal that she is not their biological daughter, but it saved her from the rejection. It saved Theo as well. I shouldn’t be happy like this…right now… but I am really happy,” she said, finishing what she wanted to say, and clapping again. “You are right, Sylvia. It’s a really big relief,” William said this time and took a deep breath.
“I think we should leave now and finish the ceremony first. Theo can announce finding his Luna to others right after your ceremony I also need to talk with my dad so that I can tell the world that Crystal was a princess,” I said, and everyone nodded. I stood up from the couch and looked at Warrick.
“Thanks, Warrick… Thank you so much, I thanked him in a sincere tone. Everyone also stood up with me. A sad smile crept on Warrick’s face. “You don’t have to be sad, Warrick. She is still your daughter, and this place is still her maternal home. She is a princess, but that place is still foreign to her. She may be of royal blood, but she is your daughter first,” I comforted him, and he looked at me with gratitude.
“See you at the ceremony,” I said, giving him a curt nod. He bowed his head in front of me in respect. I looked at Edward, who understood my gesture. “By the way,” I said, stopping in my tracks again after walking a few steps. I looked back at them while thinking about something. I looked at Warrick who also had a confused expression this time.
“Is there any place where I can ask her to shift but no one other than the family can see her?” I asked Warrick in a calm
tone. I needed to assess the capabilities of her walf too. Blake told me that her wolf had blocked him, and it was a big surprise for us.
“Yeah… of course… our backyard is specially built up for this,” he told me, and I nodded. ‘Please call her. We don’t have much time before the ceremony. I requested of him, and signalled Edward to follow me to the backyard.
“I don’t think that it will be a good idea to announce Crystal’s relationship with you, Edward said in a low, and serious tone, walking beside me. “Why did you think so?” I asked him in a serious tone.
He took a deep breath, and looked in front of us. “Don’t forget that Adam is still around the pack. He already knows that Crystal’s wolf has some special powers. If he learns about her being a princess, I am sure that he will try to hurt her in a fit of rage. He was already angry with the whole family for what happened yesterday. I am sure that he is regretting his decision of rejecting Crystal, and this new situation can lead to anything,” he explained what he had in his mind.
I pursed my l*ps into a thin line while processing what he said. He was right. I needed to talk with my father before telling a word to someone else. Also, I needed to keep an eye on Adam. He could be a threat in the future. “Wow…. the walls are really high and thick, Edward exclaimed while stopping with me at the door of the backyard.
I was also amazed to see the construction of this place. It was huge, and could easily pass to a training ground. There were so many equipments also for physical training. I looked behind when I felt her presence. She gave me a small smile to me when our gazes met. Beta Warrick, and Theo were with her. We exited the door and entered the backyard.
“I want you
to shift on your own, Crystal. I am not commanding you,” I requested her, and she nodded. She then took a deep breath, and went towards the middle. She stopped in the middle and cracked her n*eck before lowering her upper b*dy. I loud growl boomed the area, and with that, a huge white wolf was in front of us.
I gasped aloud, and heard two more gasps from beside me. I didn’t care to look who were they as my eyes were glued to the wolf in front of me. She was really huge. If my guess was right, then she would be of the same size of Blake’s size.
She had a crescent moon mark right in the middle of her forehead. She was not just a white wolf. She was legendary white wolf. Suddenly she howled aloud, and I felt a pull. “Blake…. what happened?” I yelled at my wolf in panic when I felt that I was about to shift.
“She is calling us,” Blake answered, and before I could process what happened, I shifted, and jumped in front of her in wolf form. I was also a white wolf, but I had no mark on my b*dy. I could feel her aura and the immense power that she was concealing inside her.
She grunted while lowering her snout, and we both circled each other, “Brother,” suddenly I heard her voice at the back of my mind. “Yo… you can mind link me?” I asked her in a surprised tone.
She snorted and nudged her snout on my shoulder. “We are siblings. Of course, I can mind link you by using the family link,” she answered me, and I smiled this time. It felt so good to hear brother from her. “What’s your name?” I asked her. She grunted again, and then she started running around the ground. I followed her lead and ran beside her. I could see surprise and astonishment on everyone’s faces there, but my concentration was on my sister right now.
“Luna,” she told me while running at the same pace as mine. “Let me out, Blake requested, and I immediately switched places with him. I watched them, running, playing, and laughing together. Both of them were behaving like young pups, and I couldn’t blame them for this.
“We need to shift back, Blake,” I said to Blake after some time. He grumbled but switched places again. “Luna… shift back now. We have to go to William’s ceremony,” I requested her. “O yeah… how could I forget William’s ceremony,” she chirped, and I stumbled on my front paws when she suddenly shifted back.
“What the,” I yelled while looking at her in a daze. She was completely clothed, which was another example of her powers. I shifted back too, and Edward immediately threw a large robe towards me. She moved in the other direction, and I immediately wore the robe. Edward was right. I couldn’t just announce to the world what our real relationship was. I needed to talk to my father first.
“You need to keep this secret until I talk to our king tonight,” I asked everyone in a serious tone. I looked at Crystal because I guessed she would be disappointed, but she had a faint smile on her l*ps. “I understand the gravity of my situation, brother,” she said, making me take a breath of relief.
