Adam’s POV. 

I stared at the curled–up figure lying on the ground. Her breathing was so shallow that could be considered as not breathing. I wanted to go to her and embrace her b*dy so that I could give her my strength, but I was so scared that I couldn’t even lift my foot once.

“Don’t let these negative emotions increase in you…. This is a trap for us…. he wants 

of us here.” I heard Crystal telling us in a stern tone. My heart skipped a beat while I processed what she said…. 

Yeah…. these are my negative emotions… I couldn’t let them win this time… she was my mate… she was dying and I had to save her at any cost. With new determination in my heart, I walked towards her. Suddenly she whimpered in pain, making me stop again.

I know that you are a hybrid too.” I taunted him, revealing his real identity. 

The wind suddenly stopped, making me scowl. She trembled hard this time. I groaned and looked down at my mate in my embrace. She was now looking at me with a curious gaze. I smiled and took a deep breath.

“It was you.” I said in a cold tone, and he stopped breathing again. “It was you who took her away from her mother when she was born.” I accused him in a cold tone. I needed to do something to pull her out of her negative thoughts. If he could play a mind game with us, then he must know that I was the king of manipulation. 

“Ha… you want her to believe so that she can have a beautiful dream of a loving family?” He spat the nonsense once again, and I scoffed aloud once again. “This is not a dream, you filthy prick…. this is the reality… you were the one who separated her from her family and sister. You were the one who let her think that she was

She trembled once again in my embrace, and I heard a faint whimper. I saw tears in her eyes. I could feel that her heart was completely filled with negative. emotions, but I needed to light a ray of hope there at any cost.

Do you know why he is not showing himself here?” I said to her, trying to convince her to believe me. “Why?” she asked me in a choked tone. “Because he knows that I can kill him, and save you… you said that he wants to kill of us here… Only you can save us, my love… and only you can kill him.” I answered her with all my sincerity. 

She whimpered once again and I saw tears coming out of her eyes. “Just trust me once, my love… you will never regret this.” I whispered to her with all the love that I had for my mate in my heart. “Don’t be foolish, girl… he only wants to save himself… don’t let him make you fool.” He tried to manipulate her once again. 

“I… I believe you.” Suddenly she said in a very low tone, but this time there was some determination in her voice. I grinned and immediately lifted my chin high with arrogance. “Let… let’s get out of here first.” She said further in the same tone. I bobbed my head immediately in affirmation. 

I took a deep breath and looked at her lovingly once again. I wanted her to believe that I would love her unconditionally, no matter what the circumstances around us would be in the future. We didn’t know each other but we were made for each other. “Close your eyes, my love, and picture yourself in the same state. I will take you back.” I instructed her once again in a loving tone. 

“No… you can’t go.” He screamed in panic, but it didn’t faze me. I extended my aura to stop him from reaching us. He was still inferior to me, and now I needed to show him his place. I held her tightly against my chest and pictured myself with her in my arms with the rest of them. I had this feeling that she didn’t want to leave with me.

I held her tightly while looking all around. I smiled widely when I saw William standing with his mate in his embrace. She was also awake and was looking at everyone curiously. 

Suddenly Vincent screamed in pain, startling me in the process. Limmediately snapped my head towards him. I saw him clenching his stomach as he was in severe pain. “He is still playing with our emotions.” Crystal spat while moving her head furiously as if she was trying to pin something out there.
