Alpha's Human Luna

Chapter 58

My eyes spring open. "You can't grin or smile or have that ridiculously appealing gleam in your eyes," I say.

David bobs his head."Why are we awake?

My eyes close again, waiting for David's reply. He couldn't have missed me with his fantastic hearing.

I open my right eye reluctantly.

As David removes his hand, his blue eyes sparkle with internal joy, and he smiles with his drooping mouth and stubbly jaw covered.

Then he chuckles, and then he laughs.

"Stop laughing!" I rage.

His laughter makes me angry. I pound his shoulder twice.

"Liar!"I yell.

David laughs and straddles his waist, palming his lips. ! "I'm about to grab my pillow and conceal his face, but David snags my extended wrist and rolls us over. David leans in close to me, his blue eyes never leaving my face.

My legs wrap around his waist, pulling him in closer. If I'm candid, I love this position.

"And you? Tell me," he says clearly.

Great.

"So you said? "David swoops down and kisses my mark.

His staccato inhales and exhales strike me warm.

My body warms up, and my breasts desire David to let go of my wrists and touch me.

Then he kisses it again, like a lover, and my body warms up. My neck, breasts, and the region between my legs burn.

"Do you?"I squirm.

I cry in pain, imploring him to stop, but he kisses and rubs my neck.

"It sux!"

My mind can't handle the searing pain, so I hysterically implore David to stop, then beg him to keep going.

David yanks his head from my neck and glares at me, hurting my entire body.

However, the humping, kissing, and moaning have frozen.

"That burn, Susan," David groans, our hard breaths matching. "I want our first encounter to be unforgettable. I want to draw that burnout until you go wild in my arms."

The threats and the pack's financial situation don't allow for extensive lovemaking.

"Damn you, you're correct."

"You thought I didn't want you, Susan,"

"I desire you every time I see you, smell your scent, or feel your approach."

An unexpected knock on our bedroom door interrupts my excitement about showing David how much I desire him.

My best friend's familiar rose perfume hits my nostrils as David's body tenses over mine.

Mason can help me change my physique.

"Is it full moon festival morning, and you're done cuddling?"

Then she stops.

"Full moon festival?"

I feel my muscles relax as the fire fades, and David laughs and pecks my cheeks, "Merry full moon festival, Susan." "Flash!"He yells.

David's brows crease as Neme departs our room and enters the central area.

"Can you wait?"

I kiss his vast lips, and he moans as he opens his mouth, strengthening our kiss more than I imagined.

Weaving my hands through his unruly hair, I honestly answer his question.

To my surprise, David swoops down on me and silences my laughing with a scorching kiss.

After changing out of my PJs and brushing our teeth, I sprint down the stairs like a kid, eagerness making me jump.

"Full moon festival!"I entered the living room beaming.

David stands close behind me, but says nothing to the little gathering greeting the Alpha and Luna.

Jessica in a nightgown on the couch, Neme by the full moon festival tree, and Hunter pokes at the fire he must have kindled for us all.

"What is it like not to open these gifts?" Neme sneers, pointing at David and me.

Then I giggle and embrace her back, as if it's our fourth or fifth full moon festival together. Neme wiggles her brows and looks down at my neck when I draw back.

He didn't give me hickeys. David must know what I think because he laughs at my mating bond.

"Sad Mom and Dad couldn't."

"You'll call them"Neme asks, frozen.

"It's David who sat beside his mother, watching us. He nods, unamused.

In front of me, Neme distributes the presents that have grown since the tree was set up two days ago.

I remember how the golden lights reflected off the decorations, creating a heavenly radiance in the living room.

We stayed up well past our bedtime because David and I couldn't stop talking about everything.

As he read to me, my pulse thumped in rhythm.

There were three pups (babies) born to Yeri and his partner, two boys and one girl, and the Golden Stone pack was growing, welcoming new pack members and families. Yeri's journal ended on full moon festival Eve with a sad note:

1654,

I'd never felt pain before now.

David told me Yeri died six months later.

Yeri's partner tried to cure a sick child with scarlet fever in late January 1654, but the youngster died weeks later, and the Luna became sick.

Her tiny cottage was destroyed in a fire in August 1654. Yeris twin son Jameson took over as Alpha of the Golden Stone pack when Yeri died. Yeri never wrote in his journal after his mate died, and the pages are still blank.

On top of the bedroom dresser, David and I will start Jameson's diary later today.

"OK, let's face it, Jessica, go?"

Jessica drinks her coffee, sets it down, and takes up a little silver box, my cheeks heated as she chose my present first.

When Neme and I went to buy gifts for the pack, David was enraged because I spent money and he yelled at me.

My gaze shifts to David, who smiles at me, reliving the same day I did. We now know how the other works. But it's improving. "Thanks," Jessica says, laying the velvet bag and box on the coffee table before taking up the pearl necklace.

"You're making me cry," Jessica laughs, her eyes welling up.

"Thanks," I smile.

He opens a gift from the pile at his feet, and Neme and I laugh like teenagers when he picks one that isn't mine but from Neme. Unwrapping her gift from David and me, she couldn't believe we had bought her everything she needed for her fashion site. Jessica gave me emerald earrings, Neme gave me skirts, and Hunter gave me perfume.

David stops to unwrap the silver wrapping paper off the notebook.

I bought the diary for David because I found a beat-up journal on his nightstand, and Hunter came into my room and took it away.

"Baby," David whispers gently as he scrolls over the diary's pages.

"Thanks. "I had no notion of the Alpha's notebooks."

My cheeks flush as David says he'll privately give me my second present. "I wonder what that might be," Neme says, wagging her brows for the second time today. Jessica finishes the morning by baking homemade cinnamon buns. The cinnamon rolls were delicious with the icing on top. Mouth-watering.

So I take up the desk phone and call my folks-mom answers after three rings.

"Merry full moon festival!"

My mother yells, repeating my day.

"Merry full moon festival," David says, rubbing my lower back.

Oh, he's in the toilet, ill. We had seafood for dinner last night, and his meal didn't settle well with his stomach.

"Especially during full moon festival."

"Don't worry, Susan, he'll be OK."

My heart skips a beat, and I look to my left, puzzled.

"So what, David?"

"Did I ruin the surprise?" Mom ponders, she asks quietly.

"And I asked when we might go see them. "Two weeks later."

"But, David, the..." I pause.

Sure, David assures.

Wow, I didn't expect David to take me to visit my parents.

"Wow," I say, returning to my mother's talk.

"It'll be great to meet up with relatives."

"I'm stunned."

We talk about our life. We will have children as every fairy story ends, the girl finds his prince finally, and they live a happy life.
