Alpha's Human Luna

Chapter 31

I wipe my sweaty hands after placing all the cleaned dishes and utensils back. When I tell Jessica I need to speak to David, she grins.

As I climb the stairs, I attempt to recall everything I intended to say to David. The homes, the Luna Ceremony, and Guy? Seconds later, I'm confronting David's formidable office door.

I clench my fist and knock. David says from inside. I'm going to open the door when I'm interrupted. I gaze across at a grinning Neme. Neme bounces to the door, barefoot.

I sigh, turn the handle, Stepping inside, The crackling of the fire is soothing.

David and Hunter are waiting for me to explain my presence. Hunter leans on David's desk as he sits in his office chair,

I smile as I observe David's eyes briefly look towards my legs before returning to my gaze. Neme sits next to me.

"I've got questions," I said.

Hunter sighs and zips his lips shut. I ask David whether I may now ask my inquiries. He nods briefly.

"Perfect. I'm curious about the pack's dwellings. While getting dressed this morning, I realized that the winter season is only going to get worse-more snow, ice, and snow-posing a serious hazard to the children and anybody else." Hunter's stare shifts to something I can't read, and his head cocks to the side like a wolf. He kept giggling.

"What else?" says David.

Hunter and David shrug, and I clear my throat to continue. "And then the Luna Ceremony," Neme, who is seated opposite me, stands up and turns to face me.

"I know I'm ready," I spoke.

No one speaks. David gets up and goes to me. I'm astonished when he lowers his head to kiss me passionately in front of Neme and Hunter!

My knees sag, my eyes shut, and my heartbeats.

I've never seen David this pleased or grin in my life. I grin back, David's hands softly caressing my face.

"You, Neme, and my mother can plan the luna ceremony." David beams. "As a first project, you may help in any way you see fit. Budget, supplies, and plans will be discussed following the ceremony."

My heart flutters with joy, and my smile persists. David swoops down again to kiss my lip. "Thanks, Susan." After separating his lips from mine, David murmurs to me.

I grin, knowing I've irritated After Hunter and David went for training, I decided to go and observe. I won't interrupt, make remarks, or attempt to join in.
