Alpha's Fated Slave Mate

Chapter 62 Re-entering the King's Palace

Adri quickly rolled to the side and dodged my attack, while my position and his switched.

Harry was behind him blocking his way, Julie hadn't learned to fight yet and didn't transform, hiding behind a nearby tree trunk and looking at Adri in horror.

"You can't beat me, no need to resist anymore." He said to me more icily.

"What if I win?" I replied with a smile.

I charged towards him once more, and Adri was ready to attack me.

This time, however, Adri managed to get pinned down by me, glaring at Julie behind the tree trunk with an angry look on his face.

I then realized that there was a tiny anesthetic needle in his left leg, and Adri quickly passed out.

After I regained my human form, the wound on my abdomen had been torn, and I found bandages and gauze from the backpack Julie had thrown me and rewrapped them around my waist. Julie briefly checked his body and there was nothing unusual, as if he was originally a black wolf.

"Kasha, I don't know what's going on here, but he really doesn't seem...... to be the one you're looking for." Julie said to me.

I tried to establish mental communication with his wolf, but some kind of barrier was getting in the way, and after I kept trying, he started writhing in pain.

"Kasha, we have to get out of here, the effects of the anesthetic will be half as effective on the wolf. I'll temporarily paralyze his sense of smell so he can't track us." Julie said to me. "Kasha, come on." Charles and Harry also pulled me away.

I looked at the werewolf lying on the ground, and even though there was the most logical explanation for all of this, I still believed he was Adri.

Julie soon followed and we headed in the direction of Navia City.

Rouge was already heading there, Navia City, and Adri and I would definitely see each other again.

Along the way, we avoided other cities, detouring through valleys and forests to avoid contact with rouge.

As we got closer to Navia City, the horror of the war became more and more apparent.

There were corpses of werewolves and ordinary humans everywhere, and some of them had even decomposed, giving off a disgusting stench.

No one buried these bodies.

Those who survived could not see any hope, and their eyes looked vacantly at the people and rouge coming and going.

We can only watch all this from afar, only the rouge will be expelled, the life of all people can return to the right track.

While crossing the forest, Charles' men transformed into wolves, a wolf carrying a man, and ran towards Navia.

When we arrived at Navia, the place was already a purgatory-like ruin.

Screams and cries could be heard everywhere, the flames of burning houses had not been completely extinguished, and the smell of burning, mixed with the smell of blood and gunpowder, filled the whole city. Once the largest and most prosperous capital, has completely lost its original appearance.

Even many of the aristocratic celebrities of the past were partially lying on street corners, desperately waiting for death to come.

Charles's people inquired some news, and the wolves led by Joslin formed an army of freelancers, stationed on the other side of the city, near the center of Navia City.

The rouge are mostly outside the city, except for their presence in the city, and they are not in a hurry to fight, but want to keep Joslin and the army she leads under siege in the city. Cutting off all supplies to Navia City, the entire city was so quiet that there was not a sound.

Behind Navia City is the royal palace, which has been taken over by the rouge and has all the nobles imprisoned in the palace.

There is no telling what the situation will be like there.

We had other things to do before we attacked Navia City.

I told Charles and Julie to find Joslin and tell her that I had arrived in Navia and would join her soon.

Julie couldn't fight, Charles was human, the rouge would find him, and we couldn't take her along on the adventure.

After dark, Harry and I followed the map given by Charles and headed in the direction of the royal palace.

The royal palace is considered a well-preserved building in the city, still retaining its original luxury and majesty.

The people guarding the outside were wearing the same armor as the original, but you could still tell that they were rouge.

Harry and I disguised ourselves as rouge and began to approach the palace.

According to the instructions on the map, in the south corner of the palace, there is a hidden hole can allow us to enter the palace. But after entering the palace, it was up to us to find out where to go to find the king. Entering the palace grounds, Harry and I froze. How do you find a person in such a big place?

"Kasha, what's your best idea?" Harry asked me in a low voice as he looked around.

"No, but I think there are a few places where it should be possible to find the king." I said to Harry.

One of the things I was most thankful for now was that I had been to the king's palace before and probably knew my way around the place.

According to my understanding, the king's palace should be near the hall.

But when Harry and I got to the building, we both froze at the same time.

This is a high building with many rooms connected together, although the floor is not high, but this to avoid the rouge to find the king, how to find?

"Kasha, are you sure we want to look one room at a time?" Harry looked at me and asked, doubting this.

"The rouge won't come over and actively tell you where you should look, so we'll have to find it ourselves." I whispered to him.

And we were hiding in a pool, we were wearing black clothes, similar to wetsuits, which also have a waterproof effect, in order to avoid wounds touching the water.

Harry and I both had a lotus leaf on our heads for hiding cover from the rouge.

"Okay, how do we get in?" Harry asked as he looked around.

"Take the window." I said to Harry.

We then quietly left the pool, the clothes did not easily get wet, which saved us the trouble of dealing with water damage.

As for the clothes, we took them from a supermarket, but hopefully no one noticed.

We took advantage of the time when the rouge patrol had just left and went through the window.

It was an empty room, which was very simply furnished, although clean and tidy, but obviously no one lived here.

Harry took the backpack off his body, found a rouge Gamma clothes, threw one to me.

"You prepared these things long ago?" I inquired, looking at him.

"In case the rouge finds out, we can say that we quietly tracked a suspicious person in. rouge most only recognize these clothes, plus this is the king's palace, the probability is that we can fool them. Of course, I wouldn't advise you to say that." In the time it took Harry to speak to me, he had put his clothes back on and really looked like a Gamma.
