Alpha Xander

After some minutes, we finally got to the place, there were already some people there surrounding something, I arched my brow as I noticed their expression was far from a smile, "What is happened?" I asked the messenger, but he was also confused.

Just as they noticed our presence, they gave a path for us to reach the trap, I expected to see them all happy to have Xander caught but no one was smiling, their frown was deep and some looked like they would cry. It can't be what I'm thinking!

"You are sure the trap caught, Xander?" I asked the messenger who nodded and followed me from behind as I head straight to the cage, my heart was beating so fast, this time it was out of fear and not happiness.

I got to the cage, and it was empty, like for real, there was nothing inside, I won't have believed Xander was caught, but then I saw the part of the broken cage, this means that Xander was actually trapped with it but then, he broke off. "No!!!!!" I howled at the top of my voice, falling to my knees, deep sadness covered me and forced tear off my eyes...

I knew it, Xander can never be caught by any trap...

More sadness filled in as it dawned on me that it wasn't over, I will still have to face Xander's t*****e in school, dad just broke my heart the more, he gave me high hopes when it was all useless!

"What happened here?. I can't believe my eyes!" The voice of my father and others sounded in my ears, making me look up,

I could see how extremely shocked they are, all the Alphas was staring at the cage with their eyes widened,

"Xander broke the cage?" They muttered the questions among themselves.

"Is this the trap you have me hope on?you all underestimated Xander" I cried out, burying my face into my palm.

"Someone helped him out, and it isn't his father or anyone from his Pack!" I heard another voice, I quickly looked up and saw the Pack oldest witch,

She had stepped in with her staff,

Everyone stared at her.

"Are you serious?" My father asked with a deep growl.

"We were betrayed!" She added gritting her teeth,

I sprang up from the ground, clenching my fist as great anger swept through me.

"The trap is ancient and most powerful, Xander can never break off only if someone who isn't from his Pack sacrifices their Werewolf power to save him!" She explained, and my eyes roamed around. I can't believe anyone would do that!

She bent down and touched the ground of the cage.

"I am right!" She exclaimed, then showed us the blood in her palm.

"Someone truly gave out their Werewolf powers and saved him from the cage!" She stated with a strong tone.

"Who did this to us???" My father growled, his voice sounding like a rumble of thunder.

Everyone cringed.

He looked around with bloodshot eyes, making all the officials bow in fear.

"Apart from you Alphas, Betas, Gammas and few warriors here, who else knows about Xander being trapped here!!!!!" He questioned with a furious tone, causing them all to fall to their knees. "No other person, we kept the secret...we didn't tell...." His voice was cut off with a heavy blow to his neck which made him drop-dead instantly...

My father was too angry to hear anything from him,

"So, Xander is free???" He raised his brow, gnashing his teeth.

"And someone betrayed us!!!" I added with a loud howl wishing I can know who did this, I will surely skin him or her alive, slash the heart and feed it to the dogs.

"So dad, I'll still face him tomorrow" I sniffed.

"I'm sorry, son..." He breathed.

"We will still find a way to...."

He couldn't finish his words when someone rushed in and bowed to him.

"What is it?" My father and I asked in unison.

"I received a message from the slave guards, they sent a message to report that the new slave ran out of the territory!" He relayed and I arched my brows.

"You mean Lena?" I questioned with a raised brow.

"Yes!....they reported that she drugged the watchmen and ran off this night!" He explained.

"I guess she must have been the one who released Xander!" The witch said, and my jaw dropped, everyone was transfixed in great shock,

Her words sounded very true, Lena is unknown, she looks strange with no pack and just the same night when Xander was trapped, she also escaped from the slave territory!

"We have to find her!" The witch added, hitting her staff on the ground.

"She must be working for Xander!!" My father growled with deep sadness.

"Xander must have taken her away!" Another Alpha howled, leaving me enraged, I regretted the day I let her live.

If I had killed her that day my mother died, all these won't have happened!!!

"Why had I kept her alive??.she hadn't just killed my mate now she released Xander!!!" Dad grunted, gritting his teeth.

I looked around in sadness and anger but just then, something moved from a distance,

"Dad, there is something over there!" I screamed and rushed away, with others following.

We got to the spot where I had noticed the movement and, right there on the ground, we all saw Lena lying weak and exhausted.

It was like an illusion, it was like my eyes were deceiving me, even when I could see her clear, I still find it so hard to believe I wasn't dreaming, the witch had suggested it was Lena who rescued Xander, but I was skeptical about it, I was doubtful, but now it was all vivid, Lena is weak and couldn't move her body which meant she had given out her Werewolf powers to save Xander for real.

"I was right!" The witch doctor exclaimed hitting her staff on the ground again, I felt like crying, finding out it was all true really broke my heart to piece,

"Lena!!!!" Dad called out angrily, gritting his teeth and breathing heavily,

"Dad, I'm killing her right now!!" I howled and was about to shift into my wolf when she opened her eyes and stood up immediately.

"Lena, you saved Xander???" Dad growled, forcing himself to be calm, as I can see the real urge to kill her in his eyes.

"Who?" She asked, squinting her eyes as she looked around to the people who surrounded her.

"Are you asking me that??" I yelled and launched a heavy kick to her belly, pushing her to the ground heavily that she landed on her b**t with a loud thud.

"You saved someone who had caused terror to the whole American Packs, you saved a devil and had the guts to ask silly questions!!!" I bawled with my eyes bloodshot.

She sat up immediately wincing at the hit,

"I don't understand what you are saying, if you want to take me back as your slave, do that, punish me for trying to run away.... I don't know Xander or what you meant by saving him" she muttered, breathing heavily as she looked at the ground with dim eyes. "You think I'm joking??. I'll tear you apart now!!!" I threatened and charged at her with great speed, but she dodged it with a swift move leaving everyone stunned at the strength she got...

"Please don't kill me..." She pleaded, but I wasn't listening to her words, I made to shift into my full wolf to devour her but then, the witch held me.

"Let me be!... I have to kill her for saving Xander!!!" I growled with deep anger.

"I doubt her being the one who saved him!" She sighed, leaving me confused...

"What are you saying?" I asked with a raised brow...

"She hasn't lost her Werewolf powers, she is as strong as a normal Werewolf even more, that's why she was able to dodged your attack, she isn't the one who saved Xander!" She explained louder to everyone....

"You must be lying!!!!" My dad chipped in with an exasperation tone.

"I will confirm only if I see a fresh wound around her body since she must have gashed her body to pour out blood for saving Xander" she mumbled and walked over to Lena who looked a bit afraid as she took a few steps backwards.

Three guards held her hands and legs, the witch search all her body while we watched,

"She isn't the one." I heard her say, and I felt more saddened, I can't imagine having someone who could betray the whole North America pack unknown by anyone.

With anger, I ran back home, tonight which should be my best day ever just turned out to be the worst and most heartbreaking day...

Xander had just showed us once again that he is supreme and can never be trapped, he is surely going to kill more people and increase his oppression on me.
