Chapter Old chambers of Luna
Celine's POV:
'I don't want to see his angry face again. It hurts me every time whenever he calls me names. 'I complained to Belinay who had been jumping with anger in my head.
'We should just run away from this pack.'
She was so straightforward and blunt with her response that I found myself waiting for her to finish her sentence with a 'Just kidding' note. But after a few minutes I realized she was serious about it. 'That's impossible. 'I blurted.
'Then there is just last option. It's either you leave this pack or try to make a place in the pack.' She answered.
'I never wanted a royal title. I am not going to fight for the Luna position. '
I heard her making snarling voices in my head and her attitude got on my nerves.
'I am talking about making a place in Alpha Tyrion's heart.'
I instantly lost the connection with her and knew that she was screaming in my head to talk to me. But with all my might, I blocked her voices. She was dreaming too much. She didn't understand what that was supposed to mean. Her savage side thought everything was as easy as her wolf desires.
But our human forms were different and had to follow more rules and obligations than the feral forms.
Alpha Tyrion would be here and he would do what's needed for him to fulfill his side of the deal. He wouldn't even listen to whatever I had to say.
But could I actually try to tell him? To try again. Maybe he would let me go and mark his girlfriend.
Won't everything be back to normal?
I froze when I heard voices outside the chamber and my hands began shaking uncontrollably. It wasn't that I was a coward but the fear of not knowing what would happen next was making me go crazy.
Two maids walked in with an ugly expression on their faces.
"Did you think it was Alpha Tyrion? " One of them mocked me.
I shook my head, " But I wasn't expecting anyone else to be here."
They rolled their eyes almost in a sync," Alpha Tyrion has asked you to move to the old chambers of Luna by the pack outskirts. So, you need to follow us."
Again? I had moved twice since the time I had been here. It was as if they couldn't make a spot for me here. But I wasn't in the position to complain because at least I wasn't rotting in the basement like I used to be.
Without entertaining them much, I followed two of them as they chatted with each other. There was a small carriage waiting by the doors and this made me a little worried.
"Is it too far away from here?" I asked them.
"Yes, It's in the old royal chambers, the one which is not used now. It's deserted so maybe Alpha Tyrion doesn't want you to be included in the pack." She said and they giggled to each other.
It gave me an eerie vibe but I was content that at least I wouldn't have to be an active member of the pack or listen to any of their rants.
'He is throwing us in the ruins. ' Belinay appeared forcibly in my head.
'It's good.'
I settled in the carriage and the maids placed the bags of clothes with me. But they didn't join me to the old chamber. Instead, they went on their ways and I was sent alone to my new place.
The air had turned cooler as the evening sun had spread it's rays all over the place. The sweet scent of roses made me happy and the workers tirelessly cut the stems and gave a better design to the garden. The pack worked with a perfection and everybody had something to do. But in all, anyone could tell they were happy and none of them was forced to do anything they didn't want. And that was the reason why this pack was counted as one of the best and most developed packs in the Alpha Alliance Council.
After around fifteen minutes of the carriage going with a high speed on the dirt road, we reached the old building. It was still beautiful and elegant but the non existence of someone living there made it look like ruins. The doors were still strong and beautiful even if covered with the webs and dirt. It wasn't huge like the new one. This must be the first royal chamber they made hundreds of years ago when the first Alpha had won the land. Yet, the carving on the marbles was so intricate and beautiful that anyone could still live here.
The horsemen helped me to put my bags down on the ground and he opened the doors of the chambers, giving me the keys to keep with me.
Without saying anything, he left with his carriage and I watched him vanish into the shadows. Once I realized I was alone, I held the bags in my hands and dragged them inside.
Darkness. Cold. Humidity.
I struggled to make my way into the hallway because the sunlight couldn't reach the floor here. I immediately ran to open the windows and it helped me to see the insides. Everything was covered with dust and white blankets wrapped themselves over all the furniture.
They hadn't even bothered to clean it for me. But again, nobody had been expecting me here.
I walked to the kitchen and tried to find the matchstick because there was no supply of electricity here.
Most of the modern packs were built with the help of human innovations but the older buildings were yet to be upgraded and by the looks of this place, there was no way it would ever be renovated.
Surprisingly enough, I found lamps and candles in the drawers of the cupboard and ignited the fire. It felt much better after the hallway was illuminated properly. The cold air made it's way into the house and I had to close the windows. I looked around myself and was lost watching the paintings hanging by the wall. They were so beautiful and were mostly of the great wolves.
After waiting for more than an hour, I was sure Alpha Tyrion wasn't coming here. He might have thrown me here intentionally so that he wouldn't have to see my face all the time.
Was it a punishment? To live without food and luxury.
But didn't I live all my life in misery?
The loneliness made my thoughts to wander off to my old pack. The friend I left there and the worst man who claimed to be my father.
It would soon turn dark in a few hours and then I would need to hide under the covers like always. Darkness scared me more than any Alpha ever could. The shadows which seemed to taunt me often left unshakable thought in my head. What's my purpose? Did my parents leave me? Or Did they lose me?
I wiped my tears and stood by the burning candle leaving the wax on the stand.
If Alpha Tyrion thought this would scare me, this dark and dirty chamber then he was wrong. Because I had never wished for maids but a place where nobody could make me think low about myself.
This chamber was going to be my house for a long time and I would treat it the way it should be.
So, I pulled my hair into a high bun and took the mop in my hand.
"Let's make it liveable. "I said to myself.
As I stood on the left most window in the North of the chamber, I realized I could see the pack house from here. Especially, Alpha Tyrion's chamber and his shadow was looming over the curtains. I saw the lights going off in the pack house and knew that Alpha Tyrion had gone to sleep. Good for him.
It's better for me to clean the chamber than falling asleep and having nightmares.
