Chapter Another deal by elders
'When you don't know what love feels like, you accept whatever is thrown at you.' ~
Celine's POV:
Alpha Tyrion had been ignoring me like a flu and his mom wanted to do nothing with me at all. I was sent back to another chamber, this time thankfully not the maids' rooms.
The chamber was huge, royal and gave me a little comfort which I had been lacking in my life. I never had a private room to myself but as I lied down on the bed, I realized I had no one here who would even want to talk with me. 'See, the problem is Alpha Tyrion isn't accepting us as his mate. I really don't understand how his wolf can ignore us like that. As if we mean nothing to him. 'Belinay snorted angrily.
I rubbed my forehead and closed my eyes. Everything was wrong about our mate bond. He shouldn't be forced to accept me. That was not his fault at all. And his girlfriend was pregnant! How was I supposed to live with that?
I didn't want to be so selfish to ruin another woman's life and let a child suffer the consequences because of me. They were a perfect couple, waiting for a perfect family.
My throat wobbled and the tears blinded my vision. The way my own mate treated me every time was so heartbreaking. In a world, where wolves prefer their fated mates over chosen ones, Alpha Tyrion proved that his love for his girlfriend was more than me and I was nothing but just a burden on him.
Who was I after all? A maid, illiterate girl, crybaby and omega.
Who was she? A princess, highly skilled, powerful and Alpha blood.
Any sane man would choose her over me and I didn't even feel bad about it.
Somebody knocked on the door and a maid entered with a tray of food in her hands.
"Your lunch." She muttered and left the room as soon as I got up.
I didn't want to eat, had lost all the appetite. After covering myself with the blanket, I cried. I cried until there were no more tears left.
Someone woke me up and I hurriedly sat down on the bed. It was the Luna. She had a strange expression on her face. But I felt as if she wasn't angry or feeling disgusted by me. It could be a misunderstanding from my side because she hated me the very first moment we met.
"How are you feeling now?" She asked.
I cleared my throat to get rid of the fog, " Much better, madam. I am extremely sorry for ruining everything."
She raised her brows, " No, you don't have to. I got to know about the truth and I feel so stupid that I believed those rumors. If Tyrion took your innocence and marked you then he ought to give you a name.
I was surprised and pleased at the same time. But still fought the urge to smile.
"Was it consensual?" She asked.
My mind drifted to the night when I had removed my gown and pinched my nipples to attract him. I wanted him first and he was fighting the urge.
"Yes." I whispered.
She seemed a little confused about everything. Her brows furrowed and she stared at my face for a little longer.
"Listen, I know it's difficult for you too. But you should know that Tyrion and Ava has loved each other since they were pups. They were born just a day apart and has been inseparable since than. And now she's pregnant with his child yet Alpha Jonathan has announced her marking ceremony tomorrow. It's difficult. Believe me." She sighed.
I bit my lip and controlled my tears. I had nothing to say.
"But in all this remember that you are a female and we respect each other. Don't try anything stupid to test Tyrion's patience."
I nodded, "I will always keep my mouth shut."
She wanted to say something more but then just stood up and walked to the door.
"Eat something and come to the meeting room after half an hour." She insisted and left the room.

The food didn't help with my foul mood and the sour taste in my mouth but I still forced myself to chuck everything in. First because I didn't want to waste food and secondly because I knew they won't give me more food if I disrespect them. The dreadful meeting room. Would Alpha Jonathan be there too?
I gulped down the saliva forming in my throat and nervously walked towards the meeting room. One thing which I liked about my stupid head was that it was really good at remembering directions. So, when I reached the meeting room, I took a deep breath first and then knocked on the door.
"Come in." It was the Luna.
An instant relief fell on me because I somehow felt safe in her presence.
But the sight of six elders all watching me intently as I entered the room, made the shivers run down my back. They were seated closely around Alpha Tyrion who had not even bothered to lift his head at my direction. "Have a seat." The Luna said.
I quietly sat beside her and the elders waited for a few minutes before they spoke to me.
"You do know that whatever is done should have never happened. "One of them asked me and I nodded, " But because you are marked and the known Luna to the pack you need to take on the responsibilities for the time being." Confusion dawned on me and I opened my lips to speak but they pointed a finger at me, telling me to keep my mouth shut.
"Because you did everything in your power to take this position, you need to show the pack that you are worthy of taking care of them. In return, you get to leave the pack as soon as your wish is fulfilled. But if you don't follow our rules then you will be banished without the child. "
Without my child?!
"I didn't agree to this. We just had a small deal. " I whispered.
The elder angrily slammed his hands on the table, "I am not requesting you! You are supposed to prove yourself. So that we know that the one taking our heir is worthy of something. Or else why would we give our Alpha blood to someone who can't lead a pack?"

It was overwhelming for me. These pack rules. The qualities and Alpha blood.
"But that will be my child. "I cried.
"Alpha must have been lenient about it but we know the first born from a marked mate will be powerful and our heir. We can't let you ruin our future." "What do you all want? " I nearly shouted.
"The thing is until the child is born you need to learn the Royal etiquette and prove yourself that you are capable of taking care of the child. After that, we will let the child decide once he/she turns 18 to either choose the pack or live with you.
"
I wiped my tears and tried to comprehend their words.
"What if I deny? What if I just want to live in the shadows?"
"Then you will need to leave the pack without a child. "
Luna gave me sympathetic look but deep down I knew it was all her plan because she would never allow her heir to leave just like that. They just wanted to mold my life according to them.
"I agree. "I answered.
And Alpha Tyrion wasn't happy with my decision again but he said nothing. I realized he was drunk and still grieving for his lover.
"Alpha, please fulfill your promise as soon as possible." The elder told him.
Alpha Tyrion finally looked at me.
"Wait for me in the chamber tonight."
