Chapter 74
Chapter 74 Framed
Rachel's eyes flashed maliciously, her hand poised mid-air, ready to slap Leah's radiant face.
Seeing her approaching, Leah's gaze darkened slightly. She then took two steps back, effortlessly evading Rachel's hand.
Seeing this, Rachel's expression turned even more grim, and she quickly reached out, attempting to grab Leah's hair.
Just then, Heather, who was on the lookout for Rachel, suddenly shouted, "Rachel... Rachel! Stop, stop! Mr. Ethan Wilson is coming!" She panicked and instantly thought, "Ethan's coming?!"
With that, Rachel hastily withdrew her hand. She then glanced at Leah with a hint of calculation in her expression.
After that, Rachel immediately swung her hand, initially intending to slap Leah, but this time, she slapped herself instead.
A loud smack was then echoed through the hallway.
With that, five distinct red marks instantly appeared on her cheek.
Leah was taken aback, thinking, "Did she just slap herself? What's she trying to pull?"
But she soon understood Rachel's intentions.
Rachel's eyes welled with tears as she looked pitifully toward Ethan, chokingly crying, "Ethan... Ethan, she bullied me."
Without looking at Rachel, Ethan walked straight up to Leah, his expression filled with concern. "Leah, are you okay? Are you hurt?"
Leah shook her head. "I'm... I'm fine."
Rachel stared in disbelief at how Ethan tenderly checked on Leah. She then bit her lip so hard it left a mark in between where her teeth met her lip.
"Ethan, can't you see the mark on my

face? I'm the one who got slapped. Why didn't you ask me if I was Why are you worrying about her instead? Do you really hate me that much? So much that you wouldn't even bat an eye when you see me got hurt?" Rachel asked, her voice quivered.
Heather and Rachel's other friend quickly chimed in. "Mr. Ethan Wilson, you have no idea how outrageous she's been. We just wanted to have a word with her. But she lost her temper and assaulted Rachet You need to stand up for Rachet!"
"Exactly, Mr. Ethan Wilson! Rachel's already been wronged so much. If even you don't comfort her, she'll be devastated."
Ethan then glanced at Leah, eyebrows furrowing as he asked, "Did you hit someone?"
"Is Ethan questioning Leah now?" Rachel wondered, a hint of amusement surfacing in her expression. She couldn't help but feel pleased deep down.
Her thoughts raced as she continued to ponder, "Looks like my self-inflicted slap worked. Ethan may dote on her, but when push comes to shove, he's still willing to stand up for me."
Heather and the other girl also noticed Ethan's wavering stance. They continued to say negative things about Leah to Ethan.
"Mr. Ethan Wilson, not only did she hit someone, she also had said a lot of hurtful things. Rachel was almost in tears because of her."
"She even said Rachel was only having wishful thoughts and that you don't have feelings for Rachel. Rachel likes you so much, and hearing those words was really heartbreaking for her."
Meanwhile, Ethan remained silent.
As they continued to slander Leah, each painting her as an irredeemable villain.
Ethan's face grew grimmer with every word he listened to. Then, his sharp gaze swept over Heather and the other girl as he asked sternly, "Did I ask either of you? Shut up." Heather and the other girl shrank back and were instantly silenced, retreating behind Rachel.
Ethan turned back to Leah, and his expression and tone noticeably softened. "They said you hit someone. Is that true?"
Before Leah could answer, Rachel, with a voice filled with grievance, interrupted, "Ethan, she's just a two-faced hypocrite. If you ask her, she'll never admit it!"
Ethan frowned again, responding, "Do you really think that's what I care about right now?"
