After Grandma Died I Gave Up Loving Him by Cynthia Young

Chapter 7

chapter 7

Seeing this, Lindsay picked up the box and walked towards the window, “Cynthia, I don’t believe you. You were the one who hid the earrings.”

“You value this handful of dirt very much, don’t you? In that case, I will throw it away, so that you can also experience the pain of losing something you love!”

The house backed onto the sea.

If grandma’s ashes fell from the window…

I rushed over desperately, wishing I could pounce on her, “Lindsay! Stop it!”

But she still got a step ahead.

With a gentle toss, the box fell down into the water.

The moment it fell in, I didn’t know where it was washed away to.

My mind went blank for a moment, and when I came to, I had already jumped into the sea.

Water filled my lungs, a suffocating feeling spread, and breathing became painful.

Just when I thought I was about to die, someone pulled me out.

It was Sheldon.

His wet face showed panic, “Cynthia! You can’t swim, are you crazy!”

I ignored him and continuéd running towards the beach.

At this moment, Lindsay came out, with a look of disdain on her face.

“Do you think Sheldon will believe you if you do this?”

“You have the guts to do it but not to own up to it. You are just a thief!”

Sheldon also shouted from behind, “Go ahead, believe it or not, I will immediately withdraw the donations and supplies to the border town!”

“See how long your grandma can hold out.”

I didn’t care about them, holding my breath, and sank to the bottom of the sea again.

“Grandma, I will definitely bring you back.”

Not long after I entered the water, Sheldon pulled me back again and shook me frantically, “Cynthia! Don’t you understand what I’m saying?”

Lindsay glared at me and said sarcastically, “For a handful of dirt, is that worth it?”

“Cynthia, you are overreacting!”

I rushed over with bloodshot eyes, grabbed her tightly, and slapped her face repeatedly, “Lindsay! You deserve this!”
