Chapter Divorcing 372
Chapter 372 Breakfast
Chloe knew what was happening as soon as she took a look.
What a coincidence?
Did she say what a coincidence?
William glanced at Candy and smiled, "Ms. Parker, it's a coincidence."
"Candy, who is he? Aren't you going to introduce him to me?"
It was only when she heard Chloe's words that Candy's gaze moved away from William's.
"This is William Clark, who is the head chef of this restaurant and an international senior chef."
Chloe raised her eyebrows and waited for Candy to continue.
Candy blushed slightly. "Just enjoy it. Mr. Clark's foie gras is top-notch!"
She hoped to use food to stop Chloe from talking.
William concentrated on the sushi he was cooking, and the focus in his eyes was truly a sign of his love for his career.
He waited until William had finished the last one before he wiped his hands and was going to leave.
Candy leaned forward slightly. "Mr. Clark, there's an exhibit tomorrow. Would you be interested in coming with me?"
William was stunned slightly. "Did you say the cooking show in Raimond?"
Candy immediately nodded. "Yes, I happen to have a few tickets!"
Chloe saw a hint of delight in William's eyes. "I'm going to check my work schedule for tomorrow. Will it be okay if I reply to you later?" William looked pretty elegant. He didn't immediately agree or refuse, and Candy was thrilled.
"Okay!"
Chloe waited until William left before propping her hands on the table. "Aren't you going to explain it to me?"
"Uh... Nothing. I just think William is a nice guy."
"He's really nice. Would you like to sleep with him?"
Chloe couldn't know Candy better.
That was how she was when she was interested in a man.
"I mean it this time!"
Candy looked at Chloe seriously.
"Did you just break up now and get serious about a man again? Serious girl."
Candy glared at Chloe. "I mean it. I think William is a wonderful man, and he and I are matched for marriage, so I've decided to pursue him."
"Are you going to pursue him after only seeing him a few times?"
"People just fall in love at first sight sometimes, okay?"
Sometimes Chloe was impressed with Candy's outlook on relationships.
Candy could love another man immediately after a breakup.
Besides, she would decisively forget the man before.
"You're coming with me to the cooking show tomorrow, okay?"
"I'm not going!"
Chloe refused, not wanting to disturb their date.
"No, you must go. Help me pursue William!"
Chloe felt helpless. "William and I don't know each other. How can I help you if I go?"
"Of course, because the Shawn family is the organizer of the show tomorrow!"
Chloe had no idea at all that the Shawn family had organized a cooking show.
But Chloe wasn't stupid enough to ask Michael if it was real.
Chloe couldn't turn down Candy's invitation, so she had to attend.
Fortunately, it was the weekend tomorrow, so she didn't have to clock in at the Bright Moon International.
The early morning sunlight spread on the huge floor-to-ceiling windows of the Lotus Manor, and all the plants outside the view balcony seemed to be covered with a layer of gold. Chloe came down from the second floor when she saw Michael sitting at the table eating breakfast.
She sat down across from Michael as Emma helped her serve breakfast.
Chloe narrowed her eyes. Rosie had prepared a nutritious breakfast for her today.
She had no problem drinking the lemon juice, but she just looked at it in front of her and didn't want to drink it.
"Mrs. Shawn, don't you like it?"
Rosie could see that Chloe didn't like lemon juice, so she explained, "Mrs. Shawn, it's healthy to drink lemon juice in the summer, and it's rich in vitamins, so it's good for you."
In fact, lemon juice wasn't that terrible to drink for Chloe.
Chloe was pregnant, so she would feel sick from drinking lemon juice.
But she couldn't tell if it was because she was pregnant right now.
"I don't like lemon, so I don't want to drink lemon juice today."
She didn't think it was a big deal. It was just a glass of lemon juice, and it would be fine if she didn't drink it.
However, as soon as she finished speaking, Rosie looked grim.
