Abe, a weird and short werewolf novel

Scott’s point of view:

Dominic didn’t even look frightened or surprised by my arrival. He just had this strange expression on his face, one of sadness and defeat. But why?

“I’m sorry! I didn’t want this!” He roared and cried.

But I wasn’t sorry for what I was about to do. He was the cause of all of Abby’s sadness and insecurities, he had hurt her beyond belief.

He was going to die.

I hadn’t bothered to transform myself back to human, I just stalked over to him and he stood up, ready to face whatever punishment I would enforce on him. I didn’t care anymore how he would die, I had lost the love of my life and the will to make him torture.

He was just a part of the equation that had to be eliminated. I jumped up, whisked my teeth around his head and snapped it right off.

Then I did shift back and hurried over towards my bloody mate.

I picked her limp body in my arms and held her tight, feeling devastated as she didn’t breathe or move.

It was my fault that she had died, she wanted to protect me, my pack, and I didn’t listen to her! I was foolish enough to go after that pack of wolves that her security system had shown, too eager to kill those bastards.

And she in her turn had lured Dominic out, to distract him from the others, from me!

I nudged my face against her neck and held her even tighter than before. Tears were falling and I couldn’t do anything about it. I didn’t know what I had to do now…

“thump…”

What?

“thump…”

What the hell? I pulled my face away and instantly put my ear against her chest, listening closely for what I was so hopeful to find!

“thump…”

YES! Her heart hadn’t given up yet!

I quickly transformed my face, licked her neck and tried to use as much saliva as I could, sealing the gash on her neck. After I was done, I listened to her heart again, putting my ear on her chest once more.

“thump… thump…”

“You can do it honey! Just hold on!” I yelled hopefully.

I linked the doctor and asked what I was supposed to do now.

“Mark her, she needs your strength!” He had said, but I wasn’t sure about that.

She was hanging on by a thread, having too little blood in that body of hers to cope with any new wounds!

“Do it, before it’s too late!” He told me again, which knocked me out of hesitancy. He’s the doctor, he should know.

I looked at her beautiful face, pushed aside her bouncy curls and turned her body my way, so I could bite her neck. My canines surrounded her soft skin, right in that crook between her collarbone and jaw and carefully bit down.

As I pierced the outer layer, Abby suddenly jolted awake, grabbing onto my neck and gasping wildly! But I bit on as I wasn’t finished yet. A strong connection formed between us, filling us both with energy, desire and love, until it slowly simmered to a steady feeling and I could let go of her skin.

“Scott…” She whispered right before she passed out from exhaustion.

Hear heart was beating steady now, but still slow. She had gained a bunch of energy to pull through now, I know she does, but she needs medical help as well. I picked her up after I had closed the new wound and rushed her over towards the medical bay, where Doc was already equipped with everything to help her further.

“You did well, Alpha. You saved our Luna.” He praised me but I wasn’t so sure about that. I felt like she had saved us, not the other way around.

Abby hadn’t woken up for three days now and I was starting to get worried that she might not wake up ever again. All I could think about was that all the trauma her body had suffered, had been too much for her to get back to me again.

“Alpha, you should see this.” The guy that operated the security system with Abby, had asked for attention.

He took me back to the security room and started the footage of that fateful night.

“Dominic, you are crazy!”

“I’ll kill your precious little pack, if you don’t come with me, freely.”

“No!” Abby said determined, holding a knife against her throat.

“You wouldn’t dare!” He spat out.

“You won’t have any leverage when I’m dead. So, this is the only way of saving them.” She said when she slowly let the knife sink into her skin.

“NO!” Dominic roared, at which I came into the picture moments later.

I had thought that he had killed her in anger for leaving him. But he wanted to bring her with him! Somehow, the psychopath with borderline emotions, still loved her, even after all he had done to her!

And she sacrificed herself… for us…

I quickly ran back to her, I needed to feel her body, hear her breathing to ground me to sanity. Her heart was getting stronger by the day, and I stayed with her, every moment.

“Scott?” A soft whisper nudged in my mind.

I fell asleep on her belly, hanging on the side of the bed, and now I was dreaming about her.

“Scott? Can you hear me?” I heard that angelic voice again, wanting to stay in my dream a little longer.

“You are not dreaming, you dumbass.” She scolded me and I opened my eyes.

But when I saw her, her eyes open but still attached to all sorts of medical equipment, including a tube into her throat, I frowned.

“Scott, get this fucking thing out!” She pointed her eyes, her brows angrily accentuating her emotion.

She is linking me! What the hell?!

I smiled and chuckled about how amazing she is, that she can do this at the first moment she tried, and I grabbed her face and kissed her forehead.

“DOC!” I roared and he quickly came into the room, understanding what was going on and unhooking her from her tubes.

“I thought I lost you!” I said and held her tightly in my arms.

“Air.” She croaked out and I released her just enough for her to breathe on her own.

“Took you long enough to rescue me though.” She linked as her throat was sore.

“I’m sorry love, I was stupid enough to not have listened to you.”

“That’s for sure.” She answered and I chuckled.

“So, you bit me, huh? Did you also have sex with my limb body?”

Now I hollered out laughing, fully belting in happiness. I have my snappy woman back!

“No, I like my partner responsive, not dead. But as soon as you are able, I’m going to spank you first for scaring me like this. And afterwards… woman… you and I will not leave the bed until you are unable to walk.”

“That’s my cue to leave.” Doc said and now we both chuckled. “Give her a few days, though, Alpha! She will be back to strength in no time!” He said while leaving the room.

“But didn’t you say we needed a ceremony for us to have sex?”

“Yes, normally speaking we do, but now I have marked you already, and everyone knows you have saved their lives. So, you have already been acknowledged as our new Luna.”

“So, no public sex scene?”

“No, no public sex scene.” I chuckled.

“Too bad, I was actually getting used to the idea.” She shrugged and I had to laugh again.

If my life is going to be like this every day, I’m going to be the happiest man on this planet!

“I love you.” I said while kissing her deeply.

“I love you too.”
