A Man Like None Other (Jared Chance)

Chapter 4713 It Was Not Just Talk

Seeing the expression on Jared's face, Bernard quietly asked, "Mr. Chance, what's wrong? Are you worried about Twilight Imperial City causing you trouble?"

After regaining his composure, Jared said, "Oh, it's nothing. I'm not afraid of Twilight Imperial City. In fact, I'm even planning to visit it!"

"Mr. Chance, you must understand that Twilight Imperial City isn't a place one can just casually visit. Besides, you injured the eldest prince of Twilight Imperial City. If you return there, you're certain to face retaliation," Orion stated.

"No worries, it might all just be a misunderstanding. A couple of casual responses from me should clear things up!" Jared answered with a slight smile.

Even though he had injured Dorian, his actions were not deserving of death. There was no way they would kill him once he arrived at Twilight Imperial City!

At most, he'd get a scolding, or perhaps get yelled at by Catalina!

Seeing Jared's indifference, Orion didn't bring up the matter of Twilight Imperial City anymore. Instead, he asked, "Mr. Chance, is it true that the entire Allardland has been imbued with prosperity?"

Jared nodded. "Yes!"

"Who did it?" asked Orion.

"He's just an elder in the family. Why are you asking about this?"

Jared didn't understand why Orion was asking all these questions!

Taking in Jared's relaxed demeanor, Orion let out a bitter laugh. "No wonder you're fearless when it comes to Twilight Imperial City, Mr. Chance. With such a powerful elder backing you, there's nothing in the entire Ethereal Realm you need to fear!"

"It was merely an addition of a few thousand years of prosperity to Allardland, nothing more, nothing less," Jared said with an air of calm. "If Mr. Sanders is displeased, he could obliterate this starfield in a matter of moments!"

Upon hearing Jared's words, Orion fell silent. He simply couldn't fathom the terrifying extent of the support that Jared had backing him!

Destroy this entire starfield?

The Ethereal Realm was merely one world among many. In the vast expanse of this starfield, countless worlds existed!

Obliterating an entire starfield in just a matter of minutes?

That meant the Ethereal Realm cultivators like them were even less insignificant than ants when compared to Arthur!

Seeing that Orion was scared, Jared added, "Don't worry. I live by the rule of 'If no one offends me, I won't offend anyone.' Since you haven't wronged me, I have no reason to harm you!"

In reality, Jared was just talking big. He genuinely had no clue if Arthur could obliterate a starfield in a matter of minutes.

He had no idea about the extent of Arthur's capabilities, but he had always regarded Arthur as an elder, believing that there was nothing Arthur couldn't do!

"Kid, you weren't bragging. There's

no need to feel pressured. I possess

the ability to annihilate entire

starfield too. Destroying a starfield

from a low-level cosmos is not

exactly a challenging task!"

Vermilion Demon Lord said to Jared.

"You're not boasting, are you?" Jared looked incredulously at Vermilion Demon

Lord.

"Why would I have to? Many worlds within the lower-level cosmos are far inferior compared to this Ethereal Realm. I could obliterate starfields of that level too. Once upon a time, I've even shattered a starfield with a single punch. My achievements are verifiable, so I never boast without reason..."

Vermilion Demon Lord's eyes gleamed as he spoke of his past achievements.

"A hero does not rest on past laurels, so just shut up already..."

Jared told Vermilion Demon Lord to shut up, then turned to Orion and asked, "You didn't come to Allardland just to see me, did you? Did you also come because of the Decree of Execution from the Tenth Hall?"

Orion nodded. “True, the allure of a hundred thousand celestial crystals is indeed tempting. However, we know our place and that obtaining those celestial crystals is beyond our reach. Even if we could really manage to kill you, there's no way the Tenth Hall would reward us with a hundred thousand celestial crystals. Even if the Tenth Hall did keep their word, we three brothers wouldn't have been able to protect the crystals. Those celestial crystals would have simply become a death warrant for us."

"Then why did you guys still come?" Jared asked, puzzled.
