A Healer’s Journey

Chapter 284

Chapter 284 The Mystical Negative And Positive Energies
Finnegan walked over and sat down.
He initially planned to enhance Mariya’s self-healing ability through acupuncture, then use wound medicine to help the injury
recover.
However, as soon as he took out the golden needle, Finnegan thought of the negative and positive energies he had just
absorbed into his elixir field.
According to his understanding of negative and positive energies, he knew that positive energy could cure all diseases in the
world and even bring the dead back to life.
As for negative energy, it could ward off all the evil energies in the world, killing without being seen.
In that case, can gunshot wounds also be treated?
Thinking of this, Finnegan placed his palm against Mariya’s palm. “Alicia, you can go out first.”
Alicia nodded and left the room, gently closing the door behind him.
Left alone, Finnegan began to mobilize the vibrant positive energy within his elixir field, guiding it as if he were using spiritual
energy and guiding it into the palm of his hand.
Then, he channeled a fifth of his positive energy into Mariya’s body, testing whether the positive energy was as miraculous as the
legends claimed.
The pale Mariya shivered instantly, showing a nervous reaction.
A moment later, Finnegan, enhancing his pupil power with spiritual energy, saw that Mariya’s wounds were beginning to heal.
“The legend is indeed true.”
Indeed, the positive energy within the Great Monad Stone could heal all kinds of diseases, even gunshot wounds.
However, when Finnegan realized that his positive energy had decreased by a fifth, he couldn’t help but feel distressed. “But
once this positive energy is used up, is it gone forever? Or can it be replenished?”

If it was limited, then it would be a bit of a pity.
However, there was no time to delve into it. Once Finnegan confirmed that Mariya was slowly recovering, he didn’t linger any
longer. He left the room, instructing another servant to take care of the situation, and then called Cindy to come with him to the
room.
He also brought her a computer.
Cindy asked, “What are you doing?”
Finnegan said, “I’ll describe someone’s features to you. Can you help me draw out his portrait?”
“I’ll download an image editor first.”

Once Cindy had finished downloading the software, Finnegan began to describe his perception of
Cameron. “His face shape is similar to mine, with a slightly high nose bridge. His eyebrows are sparse, and his eyes are
monolid.”
Half an hour later, after several adjustments, Cindy recreated the appearance of Cameron according to Finnegan’s description.
Cindy asked, “Who is this? There’s nothing distinctive about him. You’d forget him right after a glance.”
Finnegan replied with a thoughtful tone, “Having no distinctive features is the biggest advantage for people like them.”
An assassin always needed a face that others couldn’t remember.
However, Finnegan didn’t want to elaborate further. “I appreciate your help. Please don’t let Bernie know about today’s events. I
don’t want her to worry. As for the treatment, I’ll take care of it next time I come.”
“When is the next time?”
Seeing that Finnegan seemed reluctant to talk more about this man, Cindy didn’t bother to ask further. Besides, she was more
concerned about her own problem.
Finnegan said, “I’ll write you a prescription to control your hormone secretion for now. Contact me again in a few days.”

“Okay!”
Once Cindy had left, Finnegan transferred the profile picture from his computer to his phone.

He dialed Romona’s number. “I’ll send you a person’s photo shortly. Could you help me find out where he is in Jadeborough?”
“Who is it? You-”
Before Romona could finish speaking, Finnegan had already hung up and sent her the profile picture.
He then dialed Reynard’s number. Given how skilled the assassin was, he feared that Romona might not be able to find him
using the resources of the police department.
The call connected quickly, and Reynard’s helpless laughter was heard. “Seems like there’s another issue at
hand.”
Finnegan wasn’t in the mood for small talk. “I’ve run into a troublesome assassin these past few days. I’m sending you his
picture now. Can you use the Phoenix Team’s intelligence system to look him up?”
“What happened?”
Every day, Reynard had a lot of matters to attend to, so he was unaware of the events that had occurred in Jadeborough the
past two days.
Finnegan said, “If you want to know, go ask Phoenix Team and the Wright family yourself. That’s all for
now.”
After hanging up the phone, Finnegan glanced at the time. “In a few hours, it will be evening. Isn’t the

Sable family afraid of death?

“Hailey, you b*tch, I’ll make you suffer. If it wasn’t for Liam, you would still be a destitute woman. How dare
you treat me like this!”
In the garden of the Sable family residence, which was still surrounded by the elite of the Wahlstrom family, Hailey had Mike,
whose arms had been broken and only simply bandaged, tied to a chair. She whipped him, provoking Mike into cursing from the
pain.
Watching the scene, Reginald was equally furious. “Hailey, the Sable family has always been kind to you. How could you do
this?”
“Since when?” Hailey exclaimed, “I’ve been with Liam for years. He gave me some money and status, but do you think I got all
those for nothing? Do you know how he usually treats me?”
At this point, Hailey fiercely whipped Mike again. “And your son forced himself on me last night, completely disregarding the fact
that I was once his son’s woman. Is this how you show me kindness? Once he was done with me, he didn’t even pull his pants
up before trying to kill me according to your instructions. What a great favor you’ve done me!”
Unexpectedly, Mike played Hailey.
Shocked that Mike had raped Hailey, Reginald glared at him, then turned to Hailey and asked, “How did you know I ordered him
to kill you?”
Didn’t Hailey leave when I was giving instructions to Mike?
With a snort, Hailey walked over to a vase nearby, pulled out a small bug, and tossed it in front of him.
“From the moment I pledged my allegiance to Mr. Larkin, I have been wholeheartedly loyal to him. How do you think I knew?”
Upon seeing the bug, everything became clear to Reginald.
Mike gritted his teeth to contain the pain and cursed, “D*mn it, you really are a b*tch!”
Hailey turned around and with one kick, she knocked Mike over, chair and all. “So what if I’m one? The only ones to blame are
your entire family, from the old to the young. You’re all a bunch of petty people who only know how to treat those around them
like pawns. If one is valuable, you keep it. If not, you discard it. Instead of wasting your time berating me, you’d better start
thinking about how to save your lives from Mr. Larkin!”

The mention of the matter jolted Mike back to attention, forgetting the anger and pain he felt a moment
ago.
“Dad, have you figured out what to do?”
Reginald’s face darkened. “What kind of bargaining chip do you think could make him spare us and also believe that we won’t
seek revenge?”
Before Mike could respond, Hailey interjected with a snigger, “Actually, Reginald, Mr. Larkin has two demands. He wants the
bargaining chip you have and also your reassurance. But in reality, from beginning
to end, it’s only ever been one demand!”
Reginald asked, “Only one demand?”
“That’s right!” The fairly intelligent Hailey said, “Mr. Larkin has only one condition from the beginning to the end. As long as you
agree to it, you can survive and Mr. Larkin can rest assured about you.”
Reginald frowned. “What could possibly protect the Sable family and also put his mind at ease about us seeking revenge?”
Hailey’s eyes narrowed as she chuckled. “Where does your confidence in retaliating against Mr. Larkin come from? Whatever it
is, that’s exactly what Mr. Larkin wants!”
