Chapter 109 

Hazel was indeed shocked by Howard’s apology, causing her to believe that someone else had possessed Howard Underhill! He actually apologized to her? 

“You were right. It’s my business that I like Yolanda, and I shouldn’t have forced you into it! I shouldn’t have forced you to do something you didn’t like!” Unfortunately, he had done precisely that for many years. 

Hazel did not know what she was feeling at this moment. She did not accept his apology, nor did she say anything else. She simply glanced at him and walked past him to leave the Walker family’s home with her parents. 

Howard looked at his departing sister and felt a little dejected. 

This dejected mood lasted all the way until he reached the Littleton family’s house with his friends. Yolanda warmly. welcomed them into the house, but failed to spot an aggrieved–looking Hazel as she wished. Yolanda’s eyebrows climbed up before she smiled gently and questioned Howard with a puzzled expression, “Why isn’t Hazel here? Didn’t you tell her? Or is Hazel angry with me and unwilling to come?” 

When Howard heard her question, he hurriedly shook his head. “Why would she be angry with you? Hazel was just a little tired so she went back with our parents!” 

“I see!” Yolanda seemed very disappointed. “I even specially asked the housekeeper to prepare her favorite hazelnut cake!” “Ah? Then… then I… no, wait, I think Hazel is allergic to hazelnuts!” When Howard heard Yolanda’s words, he immediately felt very guilty. He even stuttered when he spoke, but then, he finally recalled this fact in the end. 

Once, Hazel had also eaten hazelnut cake at Yolanda’s house and felt so itchy that she wanted to return home. At that time, he did not know and only thought that Hazel was fooling around, wanting to leave after only sitting for a while. It was only when Hazel’s problem grew worse and she ended up being sent to the hospital that he found out that she was allergic to hazelnuts. 

This was something that had happened many years ago. If Yolanda had not mentioned the hazelnut cake. Howard might not have remembered this. 

“Is… Is that so?” Yolanda was a little surprised. She did not expect Howard to still remember this. 

“It is!” Howard nodded. “Hazel can’t take hazelnuts!” 

“Yolanda, don’t you remember? I still remember that disaster!” Josh said, “That year, Hazel had to be sent to the hospital. Wasn’t it due to the hazelnut cake that you gave to Hazel?” 

Yolanda was at a loss for words. 

Yolanda’s expression was ugly. Weren’t these people being a little too casual with her? Did they no longer care if she would feel awkward? 

Howard was thinking too much. The thought that Yolanda was deliberately trying to harm Hazel never came to his mind. He simply felt that Yolanda’s relationship with Hazel wasn’t as good as how Yolanda described it to be. After all, if their relationship was truly good, she would not have forgotten such an important fact. 

“In the future. Yolanda, you should stay away from Hazel!” Howard spoke frankly, “It’s fine even if you can’t get along. You don’t have to make things difficult for yourself just to make me happy!” 

Yolanda was stunned. “Huh?” 

What sort of chauvinistic logic was this? I did it to make you happy? Yolanda was tempted to force Howard into the bathroom to wash his brain. 

While it was lively at the Littletons‘ house, the Walker family’s home was also bustling. As Noah had a three–day vacation, he returned to the Walkers‘ house during the evening. 

If it was in the past, he would have rested in his residence for the next three days as he truly did not want to deal with his family and friends who would come to visit. 

However, this year, for the sake of the new members of the family, he still chose to return. 

He prepared three envelopes of cash for Annabelle and the two kids in her stomach. On seeing this, Elizabeth felt extremely jealous. She also wanted to get married, but what could she do? 

Lucas felt that his elder brother was being too dramatic. This impression of his became even firmer when he saw Annabelle hugging the envelope and smiling like a big fool, so he rolled his eyes at Noah several times. 

Noah was in a good mood, and his mood improved further when he saw Lucas’s expression. He felt that taking this trip back was a wonderful decision. 

The brothers chatted and laughed all the way til late in the night. Just as they were about to head upstairs to sleep, Irving 

came over. 

“Cousin is back?” Irving was quite surprised to see Noah.

Noah nodded and answered with a smile, “I had three days off, so I came back to take a look! Why are you here so late?” 

“Oh, I’m here to hand something to Lucas!” Irving replied as he stuffed a brocade box into Lucas’s hands. “Yolanda told me to bring it to you, saying that you might like it!“* 

Lucas was dumbfounded. Something he would like? 

When he opened the box and took a look, he was almost blinded by what was inside. Yup, there was also a watch in the brocade box. Compared to the luxurious but low–key planetarium watch that Annabelle had bought for him, this one was much more conspicuous. Its most conspicuous point was the great number of diamonds it had. 

“So it’s a watch! No wonder Yolanda said you would like it!” Irving still remembered that his cousin, Lucas, had specially posted a picture of the watch that Annabelle had bought for him. 

Unfortunately, single people could never understand. He didn’t show off those photos to show off the item. The most important thing he wanted to show off was the feeling behind the gift.

Hence, the moment he saw the watch, his mood soured. Due to their long–time friendship, he did not hold it against her for investigating Annabelle without permission. However, it appeared she did not know how to restrain herself…. 

“But I promised Yolanda that I would deliver the goods!” Irving was also afraid that Lucas would lose his temper, but he did not want to break his promise to Yolanda. Hence, after saying this, he immediately turned around and escaped. 

Lucas frowned. He wanted to call him back. However, Noah stopped him! 

“Hand it to me!” Noah smiled and took the brocade box from Lucas. 

Lucas still wanted to speak, but Noah looked at him with raised eyebrows. “What’s wrong? Can’t bear to? Are you planning to wear one on each hand?” 

“What are you talking about?” Lucas frowned. He simply didn’t want to accept it. 

“Why not accept it? Isn’t she rich? Get her to continue sending gifts!” Noah spoke frostily. He immediately took a photo of the brocade box and grabbed Lucas’s arm to take a photo of the watch on his wrist. He then posted online, “Sure enough. with the watch given by his wife, no matter how expensive other watches are, they wouldn’t be as good anymore! I’ve benefited from my younger brother!” 

Below the text, he attached two pictures. One was an arm with a planetarium watch on it, and the other was a very shiny and expensive diamond watch placed in a brocade box. 

As soon as his post went online, his fans immediately started screaming. 

“Ah ah ah!!! I also want such a younger brother!” 

“The brother’s hand is so beautiful! I’m loving it!” 

“You can’t love it. That hand is mine!” 

“Although the one given to his older brother is really sparkly, the planetarium watch is really beautiful!”
