A Drunken Decision ( Annabelle Ross )

A Drunken Decision Cynthia Chapter 106

Chapter 106

Yolanda silently rolled her eyes at Elizabeth and thought to herself, “Why do you have to keep looking at me when saying

this?”

Yet she just turned a blind eye to Elizabeth, knowing that the most effective counterattack to a person was to ignore them.

Yolanda tried to pretend as if nothing happened.

However, Elizabeth didn’t stop, but continued in an exaggerated tone, rambling about how lovey–dovey Lucas and Annabelle were, and a few people chimed in

“It’s true, Lucas is really in love with her! I noticed that too.”

“That’s right. He’s never posted anything like this on his Instagram story before!”

“Annabelle will be my sister–in–law!” Elizabeth nodded in agreement. “You know what, Lucas is so easy to get jealous before. her. When he saw her wallpaper with a male celebrity, he immediately asked Benny to take many photos of him. And he insisted that she change the wallpaper to his photo. I wonder if all married men like this.”

Saying this, she deliberately glanced at Yolanda, who looked so composed still. No, no, no, she thought, Yolanda must be pretending just now. The calmness was just her facade. Now, Yolanda’s face turned stern, and the veins on her forehead were throbbing. She couldn’t suppress her emotion anymore.

Elizabeth smiled happily at this.

“Oops, Yolanda, are you feeling unwell? Having such a face on this festive day is not good. It will affect your luck this year!” Elizabeth shouted, playing innocent. She took a step forward and supported Yolanda as she said the words primly.

Yolanda was speechless, wondering then why the hell was Elizabeth trying to provoke her on this festive day.

As Howard heard Elizabeth’s words, he became worried. He handed the cards to the person quickly.

“Yolanda, are you alright?” Howard asked solicitously.

behind him and walked over

Strangely, when Elizabeth saw this, she did not feel upset at all. Perhaps she had really let go of this person; even at this moment, she was still bent on taunting Yolanda.

“Maybe it’s because she’s old and her bodily functions have decreased. You should give her some health products too, not just wrinkle–resistant skincare products,” said Elizabeth seriously, looking at Howard.

How heartlessly brutal Elizabeth was!

Howard, however, didn’t realize it and just nodded in earnest and said, “I See. I’ll buy it tomorrow!”

Looking at Yolanda’s livid face, Elizabeth couldn’t refrain herself and burst out laughing.

Yolanda left in anger. And while leaving, she blamed herself for staying there with these guys.

Shortly after Yolanda stepped out, she saw something even more frustrating.

After Annabelle filled her stomach, she saw Lucas taking some plates to the kitchen to wash, and hurriedly followed him.

Her good mood lasted from last night to now; and when she saw this man, she couldn’t help but feel ecstatic.

That sweet and satisfied smile made Yolanda jealous. They were clearly in love, she could tell.

Yolanda’s eyes darkened. She collected her thoughts and quickly walked to the living room.

In the meantime, Mrs. Ross was talking with others, the topic ranging from men, children, and, mostly, Annabelle, their would–be daughter–in–law.

Linda thought of her own son, and how frivolous he was, and she became upset and angry. He used to follow Lucas every day, but why at the end of the day Lucas became more and more mature, while her son only turned more and more frivolous? She too wanted to have grandchildren, but now, she didn’t even have a daughter–in–law.

“Mary, tell Eliza to be my daughter–in–law, how’s that?” Linda thought that the Walker family’s children were all pretty good. And she knew Eliza very well, knowing she was a reliable person, at least much more reliable than his useless son.

Yolanda, who had just arrived, heard Linda’s words, and her heart skipped a beat!

Thinking of Elizabeth’s annoying appearance, Yolanda knew she couldn’t allow this to happen, nor could Howard or Josh.

Was this woman out of his mind?” she wondered. “Why the hell would she let her son marry a woman like Elizabeth? This is unthinkable!”

She had been scared sick by Elizabeth’s fake snake for so many days; didn’t Linda learn anything about it?

With this thought in mind, Yolanda feigned a feeble look and sat beside her mom.

Chapter 106

She remembered Elizabeth once said that she didn’t look well, and now she’d show them how unwell she was.

“What’s wrong with you, Yolanda? You don’t look well.” Before Mary could reply, Linda asked worriedly as she saw Yolanda’s

ill look.

“I’m fine, Aunt Paulina!” Yolanda smiled and forced herself to stay cheerful. “I was just staying with Eliza, and she played a joke on me.”

In fact, Linda knew that Elizabeth had used a fake snake to scare Yolanda. After all, Yolanda had feigned an illness so hard for so many days. And in addition, Carly had let it slip. If other people knew only little about it, they didn’t, since they were so close to each other, and their son had visited Yolanda.

Now hearing Yolanda mention a joke again, and she looked so pale, Carly became nervous.

“Did Eliza scare you with a fake snake again?” she exclaimed.

As soon as these words were spoken, Linda’s expression darkened. She too deemed Eliza’s deed quite inappropriate, since they were here to visit as guests, so even if Eliza and Yoland were at odds, she should not have done such a thing to Yolanda on this day.

Recalling what she had said before, Linda felt a little regretful. Her son was already a troublemaker, and if he married another troublemaker, it would be a calamity for her family. No, no, no way.

Before she could speak, Mary asked, “Really?” “What the hell?” she wondered. “You guys must be defaming my daughter, and you Yolanda, you’re too cunning to be trusted,” she decided.

“What kind of joke did Eliza play with you to scare you like this? Did she really scare you with a snake?” Mary ignored the fussy Carly and looked at Annabelle with a gentle expression.

Yolanda immediately gave a smile and replied, “No! Eliza doesn’t dare to hold a snake; she’s not that bold.”

“Then did she scare you with something else? That won’t do either! That sassy girl. Before Carly could speak, Mary frowned and said. “Wait a minute. I must get Eliza here to give you an explanation! If she really did it, I won’t let her go. How can she scare you for no reason?”

Actually, what she really wanted to say was, “For no reason? I don’t think so. My daughter Eliza isn’t that bossy, and if she really did that to you, that’s only because you deserve it, I’m afraid.”

Marly secretly rolled his eyes and raised her voice to call Elizabeth.

Yolanda promptly tried to stop her in a gentle voice, knowing if she really came, with her fiery temper, she would be exasperated by the questioning of the people there

At this moment, Annabelle and Lucas arrived, and as they saw Mary calling, Eliza, both of them were puzzled.

“Yolanda was frightened by Eliza again,” Mary explained as she saw their confused expression, “I need Eliza to be here to know what’s going on.”

Annabelle heard this and subconsciously looked at Yolanda and asked in surprise, “Yolanda did something bad again?”
