300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets

Chapter RELAY HUNT

THIRD PERSON POV:

Hazel awoke the next day with Riley's head on her chest. Just looking at him, she felt her entire body heat up, and she wondered what it would feel like to have him. However, she didn't want to seem desperate, so she only clutched her hands tightly around his bare back, caressing it.

His hands wriggled under her, so she lifted her body slightly, allowing him to take out his right hand, which he ran along her cheek, then on her lips while his head rested against her shoulder. Tiredly, he let out a groan, raising his head a little and sliding until his face met hers.

Their lips met gently, brushing against each other softly as his hands reached for her waist. Hazel didn't object because her body wanted this, but she was scared of being used. Suddenly, he broke the kiss, trailing his lips down her neck to her cleavage. Just as his hands reached for the fabric of her chest, her alarm went off, startling him. He quickly kissed her again, chuckling against her lips.

"That's my call to leave," he said, and she nodded, staring into his eyes, which were beautiful even though he had just woken up. "I'll see you in the hall," he added, kissing her cheek before getting up.

Hazel sat up as he threw on his shirt and grabbed his pants. When he was done, she got to her feet, pulling him into a hug before letting him go, and he walked out of the room.

Upon getting out, he saw the triplets and Bella in the living area, causing his face to flush.

"Hey," Riley said, rubbing the back of his head, unsure of what to do.

Finn, who was standing, shook hands with him. "Good morning."

The air remained awkward at this.

"So... I'm just going to... leave," Riley said, and the rest nodded while Bella tried to hold back her laughter. They were making him uncomfortable on purpose.

"Okay then," Riley said, and he left at once, causing Hazel to step out of her room, shooting everyone a sharp look with her brows raised and her arms crossed.

"Really?" she asked, and they all shrugged.

"It was fun," Kai said, and they all laughed.

Bella lifted her head from Ryder's lap, then got to her feet, rushing to Hazel.

"So, tell me what happened. I've been dying to know all night," she squealed, holding Hazel's hands, while the boys sighed.

Hazel loosened up as Bella grabbed her hand, then began to speak.

"We fell asleep watching movies, and he seems genuine..."

"And, and?" Bella squealed, leaning in further.

"I was scared to go further, but he made a move this morning before my alarm went off. I can still feel his lips on mine, and gosh, he is so sexy," she squeezed Bella's palm in excitement.

"Girls are weird," Finn said, shaking his head as he took a seat.

"Was this how you acted when we first..."

"No, you guys were asses then," Hazel cut Ryder short, causing their egos to dwindle. "But once you fixed up, you became dreamy," she added, walking back into the room with Bella, disregarding the feelings of the triplets.

**

Everyone was dressed and seated in the hall for breakfast. While everyone was engrossed in their meal, Hazel wasn't because Riley kept texting her.

"It's difficult to locate you in the hall, so give me a good direction."

"Do not find me."

When Riley saw her message, he was confused. He wondered if he had done something wrong to her. From where he sat, he scanned the hall as much as he could, trying to find her.

"You didn't do anything, and I can see you from where I am seated. I think I like you, but that doesn't matter in Fae's world, and she cannot know that we are mates. If she knows, she will end it, and it scares me."

Seeing Fae as an obstacle, Riley was angry, but he knew he couldn't confront her because of Hazel.

"Why does Fae have to be a problem? I told you I won't allow her to hurt you."

"I know Fae, and I do not need your protection. If you actually like me and want this to work, then you have to trust me."

When Riley saw this, he sighed and tossed his phone into his bag.

"She's still giving you a tough time?" Ian asked, and Riley did nothing but take a bite of his pancakes.

Bella noticed how uneasy Hazel was, so she was pushed to speak to her.

"Is everything okay?" she asked, and Hazel let out a sigh.

"Riley thinks I'm avoiding him, but in reality, I can't stand Fae taking away something I care so much about. I wish there was something I could do about her. She gets on my nerves, and I am tired!" She stabbed her fork into her pancakes, and Kai grabbed her hand.

"Easy, tiger," he said, and Hazel huffed, leaning back.

"I wish there was a way I could have fun with my mate without worrying about some witch coming to take away my happiness."

Soon, the students finished eating and gathered at the campground.

"Today, we have the pack hunt relay game," the camp director began. "In this game, each school will choose four members. The four of them will partake in a hunt relay, whereby one member races through the woods to find the hidden items on the map. When they find the first item, they tag the next member, and it continues until the last. You can start anywhere. There are ten items, and the first school to get all ten or more of the hidden items wins. Game on, and good luck!"

With that, the teams went to their respective spots for the games. Since Hazel helped score a point for Howlstone, she was chosen for the hunt relay games, hoping she would work her magic on the Husk High captain again.

Hazel felt terrible throughout the race, and she couldn't stop thinking of Riley. She had blown him off, but it was for a good reason, and yet she felt guilty. Because of her lack of focus, she struck her foot on something, which almost made her trip.

"Ouch!" she exclaimed as her body swung back and forth to find balance.

Finally, she planted her feet firmly on the ground, regaining her balance. Then she looked down to see a poorly buried box in the sand, causing her to draw out her map and realize it was one of the hidden treasure. Quickly, she pulled out the box from the sand, allowing the gritty texture to graze her hands. But that didn't bother her, as she had found one treasure. In no time, she was racing to the next point to meet Finn, the next person on the team.

"I've got one!" she screamed as his figure became visible in the distance.

Finn flashed her a smile as he waited for their palms to touch. As soon as they did, he took off, racing through the woods while Hazel tried to catch her breath.

She walked back slowly to the starting point with the treasure in hand. Suddenly, the person she had been trying to forget popped into her head again as his scent engulfed the atmosphere.

He must be near camp, she thought to herself, but before she could take another step through the path with tall trees, someone pulled her out of the path...
