300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets

Chapter EVELYN'S STORY I

THIRD PERSON POV:

Evelyn knew that her life without Fred wasn't going to be rosy, but she didn't expect what her in-laws had in store for her. On her first night at the Rune pack, she asked for a room where she could be alone, but her mother-in-law laughed.

"What do you think you are here for?" she questioned, and Evelyn stared at her, unsure of what she was playing at. "You just got married, and you act like you do not know what couples do on their first night together. I mean, you have done it before, so continue from..."

"I didn't sleep with Herald," Evelyn said, but Kate didn't care.

She had achieved what she wanted, and she was certain she had secured beautiful and strong grandchildren to take over their lineage.

"Lie all you want, child, but you will sleep with your husband tonight, and you both will produce an heir for this family," she said, and then Evelyn watched the guards move her things into Herald's chamber.

Herald, on the other hand, didn't return on time that night. The guilt in his heart couldn't allow him. He hated himself, and he wished he hadn't followed her into the woods. It was true he had feelings for her, and he wished he would get a chance with her. Now she was married to him, but that didn't guarantee that she was his.

That night, when Herald returned, he saw Evelyn fast asleep on his bed. He was drunk, but he wasn't stupid, so he slept on the couch. The next morning, Kate greeted them both with a knock on the door. She barged into the room before anyone could answer, and when she saw her son on the couch, she became angry with Evelyn.

She thought Evelyn would be an easy catch since she was young, but she was proving stubborn, and not naive as she expected.

"What the hell, mother? My wife and I need privacy!" Herald yelled at her, and she took her leave at once.

Evelyn, who had been pretending to sleep, opened her eyes and saw Herald sleeping on the couch. She was grateful he didn't come onto her, but she could never love him because he wasn't Fred. The entire day, she wouldn't speak to Herald, and it killed him so much that he had to break the silence at night.

"I know you didn't want this, but please, your silence is killing me. I have been trying to get your attention the entire day, but you wouldn't speak to me," he said to her, and she scoffed.

"What am I supposed to do? Kiss you and hold you like a loving wife? I do not love you, Herald, and I will never be your wife."

With this, she draped a duvet over her body, facing the other side of the bed with tears crawling down her eyes. She hated herself and the fact she couldn't control her temper. He hadn't done a thing to her, but his family had hurt her, and she was angry, but that didn't give her the right to speak to him like that.

'When will this end?' she asked herself as she tried to force herself to sleep, but she could not.

The next day, Kate met both Evelyn and Herald with more threats.

"Since you both have refused to fulfill your royal duties as husband and wife, the elders of the pack have decided that a meeting will be held, and the both of you will have to fulfill the duties in the presence of everyone," she said, causing both of them to stare at each other as if Kate were a maniac.

This was a part of his mother that he had never seen before, but he knew better than to question her, so he kept mute. As soon as they finished with breakfast and went back to the room, Evelyn paced around the room, and Herald knew she was bothered, but he feared speaking to her because of the previous night.

"Are you not going to say anything about this? Or do you want a group of crusty old men to watch us have sex?" she questioned, and he threw his hands in the air.

"I thought you didn't like me talking."

She rolled her eyes when he said this. Deep down; she was scared, and she never wanted to lay with him, but it was better than the option given to them.

"We will have sex," she finally said, and Herald glared at her.

He was still engulfed with guilt, but he couldn't deny the fact that he had fantasized about her for the past two days, and sleeping close to her did nothing but intensify his urges.

"What?"

"It is a fact that we must do it, and it is better I do it in private than in public." As she said this, she saw his face light up a bit, which made her feel disgusted. "But I have to be solely drunk because I would never want to remember whatever it is that happened or how it happened."

Her words broke him further. It was going to be a mere act, and not lovemaking, but he understood. She could never love him, and he would never be her fated mate.

Evelyn spent the entire evening drowning herself in wine. She wanted it to be as swift as possible, and by nighttime, she was wasted. Herald came into the room, and she came unto him, urging him to get it done, which he did. No matter how much he tried to enjoy it, knowing that she was truly untouched made him hate himself more. He had taken her virginity in a manner that even the lowest of all women in the pack shouldn't be touched.

In the morning, Evelyn got up without saying a word to him. The stains on the sheets were evidence of what they had done. She spent the entire day mourning her situation, wondering if Fred had moved on and if he had another girl but her. They were both saving themselves for each other, but she had broken the pact with another man.

She had spent the entire morning mourning that she skipped breakfast, and in the afternoon, when she made it downstairs to find something to eat, she overheard Kate with someone.

"Alpha Herald's wife bled out on the sheets. She was truly untouched, and the news was false," the person said, and Evelyn heard the Luna laugh wickedly.

"Of course she was untouched. The Lupins have always had the best interest for their daughters, and her grandma and I had the same agenda. We made sure that they were stuck together in that cabin, then we rallied the pack members in the morning. I mean, I could have picked my call when Herald called for a backup car, but I didn't, and we have a bride."

Evelyn's blood boiled hard that she pushed the door open at once, where she saw Kate with the chief servant. "You did what?" she breathed, rushing at Kate.

She grabbed her by the collar, attempting to strangle her as she began to morph into a wolf. The servant drew the attention of the guards, and Herald rushed into the room, grabbing Evelyn, but she slashed the face of the Luna with her claws before they could separate them.

Evelyn wasn't Luna yet, so she was punished for her actions. She was locked up for a week, but Herald didn't allow anyone to torture her, and he locked her up in a room in the castle. About a week after she was released, she fell terribly ill, throwing up at the slightest. When a doctor was called, she was announced two weeks pregnant, but they kept it from her. A check was run, and when they realized it wasn't a male child, the Luna secretly fed her pills to kill the baby. This happened in the early stages of the pregnancy, and Evelyn was knew nothing about pregnancies, so she had no clue, and she assumed the bleeding was her period. Herald, too, was unaware, and his mother kept him busy with alpha duties.

A timetable was drawn for her, and she was mandated to have sex with Herald on certain days. All her pregnancies were female, which puzzled the Luna because the Runestone had a dominant gene of males, and their gene was so strong that she believed it would overshadow the Lupins like it overshadowed hers, which led to her giving birth to Herald. Evelyn kept conceiving females, and all their methods to make her conceive a male child were rendered useless, and they continued aborting her babies secretly before they even formed. This continued while Kate shamed Evelyn for being barren.

One day, Evelyn bled so much that she passed out multiple times, and the servant in charge of her was tired of seeing her suffer, so she opened up to her. Evelyn was mad when she heard this, so when she got better, she seduced Herald and had sex with him on a day they weren't supposed to. Herald thought she was finally growing on him, but this was her plan to get back at Kate.

When Evelyn fell sick again, as usual, she kept it to herself, visiting a doctor using disguises with the aid of the servant assigned to her. This continued until she was about five months pregnant, then she revealed the pregnancy due to her bump. Now it was too late for the Luna to abort the baby..
