Chapter 63. What the Hell
I had woken up again, this time I didn’t panic, this time I didn’t move. Afraid to rip some skin again, I stayed still.
“Hi there, how are you feeling?” Noliyah said.
Why is only Noliyah here? And not Brock or my children?
“They are outside, and they have seen you. But I advised them to not be in here this time. Because I have a feeling that if you dare to open your eyes, or to speak up again, you might get frightened by all your new… you.”
What is it with Elves and speaking in riddles?! Just say what is going on!
Noliyah giggled. “Try opening your eyes, slowly” She said.
I did as she asked, and opened them slowly. My eyes had to adjust to the darkness in the cave that I was in. I lifted my head a little, and without feeling any pain, I had put my elbow between me and the ground. To lift me up a little more.
I was laying on my side and moved my head straight, to have my sight horizontal again.
There was Noliyah, in whisp-form, floating above the ground, gently as if she is a ball of cotton in a morning breeze.
“Ahhh that’s cute! Thanks sweety.” She said.
I smiled, and realized that I had no pain whatsoever. Yet there was something off.
“Ah- aren” My voice cracked.
I moisturized my mouth a little more, and tried again.
“Aren’t you… a bit little… for a whisp?” I asked with a slight sore in my throat, and remembering whisps to be quite larger.
“Well, I haven’t shrunken, it’s you who is different darling.” She said with a smile.
I looked to the left, to my body, and what I saw there, was frightening me as hell! Instantly, I squirmed my limbs, trying to walk away from it, but was unable to get rid of the things that came after me!
As I moved myself backwards, I hit my head against the ceiling of the cave, the things on my back scratched the walls and my claws scraped the floor!
This can’t be true! How can this have happened!?
“I think that your daughter is meant to transform, and you are not. Yet, your daughter’s fire might have transferred some of her power to you, so now you have become…”
“A DRAGON? WHAT THE HELL!? I have wings, claws, a tail and scales all over my body! When am I going to turn back? Wait, how long am I like this already?” I said, yelled, and asked.
“It’s been two months now. And when we tried to heal your human skin, it fell off, and beneath it, there were dragon scales. And after a few days you started to grow and transform into this gorgeous, black and red dragon.”
“Change me back! You have to change me back, now!”
“I don’t know how, sweety. Really, if I could, I would’ve.”
“NO! That’s not an answer! You’re an ancient Elf, you must have something up your sleeve! Out with it!”
I have to get to Ayinthur! That stupid, stubborn crocodile is going to change me back!
Walking on all fours, which was odd enough already, my wings bounced on my back. They scratched the walls of the cave, since I don’t have any experience with how big I am right now. So, I cursed some words and smoke left my nostrils. My nostrils! I HAVE FREAKING DRAGON NOSTRILS!
This is going to be one hell of a ride, and one hell of a meeting with Ayinthur! If he wouldn’t have been flying off to Goddess knows where, and didn’t shut his mind off, for us to contact him, there could have been a possibility that this hadn’t happened at all!
And besides that, Iris was meant to transform? How would Noliyah know that?
“Well, she has to be able to produce offspring right? And if that is only capable with her promised Dragon, then…” Noliyah started to say, while floating behind me.
“…It’s only logical for her to become one.” I finished her. Why didn’t I think of that.
We reached the entrance of the cave, it was day, so my eyesight had to adjust again.
“Dad! She is here!” I heard Tyler say.
I looked at my family, noticing how small they are compared to my size. Their jaws dropped and amazement struck their faces.
“Love, is it really you in there?” Brock asked me.
His broad shoulders, wide muscular build and strong jawline, looked puny now. I think I could trample him with just my tail alone! This is so strange!
Kaden laughed out loud at my thoughts, but with one look towards him, he ceased immediately. Holding his arms up in defeat, apologising silently.
“Yes, I’m here, and I don’t like it!” I declared.
Brock walked over to me, and touched my body and scales. His touch still made me curl my toes. I love what he does to my feelings.
He touched my red and black scales and slid his fingers over the raw material. My body wasn’t looking the same as Ayinthur’s. There were he had black shiny scales, mine were matted and red in the centre.
I lowered my head and nudged him in his belly. He stroke my face and gave me a kiss on my cheek.
“Don’t you dare think about sex now! I won’t be able to burn that image out of my mind!” Kaden yelled.
Brock and I both laughed, Kaden and Tyler were both no stranger to the girls in and around the castle. They are constantly getting attention, from girls that pretty much throw themselves at them. I had never read their minds about it, because that would be strange, but still, I’m not an idiot. What I see, and how they react to them, was enough information to let me know that they weren’t living a celibate life.
Kaden smiled at my thoughts, but didn’t say a word.
I looked towards Iris. She looks like her normal self again, she was no longer halfway transformed into her Dragon. Her tail, pink and purple scales and white horns, were turned to the usual sizes and colour. I wondered what would have happened, if I would have just let her go. I mean, if I wouldn’t have doused her fire with the ocean, would she have transformed completely?
“No, she wouldn’t have. The fact that you did, was something that I couldn’t foresee. This was dangerous, and it nearly killed you. So, you did the right thing. But it will happen again to your daughter, only I don’t know when. So you have to find Ayinthur, and take her to him.” Noliyah whispered to me.
“Yes, but how do I find him?” I asked her.
“Well, you are a Dragon now. Maybe learn how to fly? You will travel fast and be able to search for him more easily.” She said.
Right… learn how to fly.
