10 years later...
“Come on kids we are going to be late” I shouted from the bottom of the stairs. I had 2 10 year olds a 13 year old and a 14 year old . Who drove me insane, after having the twins I quit my job as a doctor to become a full time mum whilst James worked as a top shot lawyer in the city. We rarely see each other nowadays. When he’s here he never fails to mention how unattractive I’ve become. I had become depressed and the only thing keeping me going was my beautiful children. I drove them to school in my pyjamas because there was literally no time. When I got out of the car at Justin and Jackson’s school I could see Claire with her mummy gang looking at me and whispering clearly talking about me. I rolled my eyes and gave them a wave and a fake smile which wiped the smile off of Claire’s face and turned it into a dirty look “ bye boys have a good day” I said to Justin and Jackson.
“Bye mommy” they replied hugging me before running off into school.
I made my way home to be surprised with a white SUV parked in my drive. When I got home I saw Nicole. Nicole was my neighbour we used to work together before I became a house wife. She was sitting in my living room. “Hey girl, we need to do a make over for you” she said. “ umm why?” I asked “well James is going to be away this weekend on business so I thought you should surprise him” she replied I haven’t spoken to James in a while or even seen him in a while so this was news to me her husband was really good friends with James which was how she knew where James was “I have the kids remember” I laughed walking towards the sofa “ look I know you and Claire don’t see eye to eye but she and George are happy to look after the kids whilst you are away tonight and I’m gonna take them for the rest of the weekend” she said. “ well okay but I’ve gained a lot of weight no judging” I frowned. “ of course I can see that, but I don’t judge you should know that by know” she laughed I pushed her jokingly.
After a few hours of poking and prodding and waxing everywhere. I got all dolled up for the first time in what felt like forever. “ you look amazing girl” Nicole said with a huge smile on her face “nic this is a size 16 dress I’ve gained so much weight” I frowned “ you had children love your body hunny because you look gorgeous “ she said hugging me. “ ladies we need to get going when we arrive James will be back at the hotel were you are going to surprise him eve” Nathan said. Nathan was Nicole’s best friend and stylist/hair/makeup artist.
