You, Me And Our Genus Twins

Chapter 497

"How I came in doesn't matter! Anyway, he took advantage of me. I want him dead! I want him dead!" Allison's voice was hoarse
as she hollered. She was on the verge of losing her mind due to her rage.
She lost her virginity after a night of sleep, and Jake happened to know about it. He will no longer like me from now on, so how
am I going to marry him? Therefore, she must assassinate the man who took her virginity. She was going to make his life
miserable!
"Sir, I got the surveillance video." Desmond hurried into the room and reported to Sebastian.
"Good." Sebastian then asked, "How did the woman get in?"
Desmond answered, "From the footage, she appeared to have entered on her own. She must have been drunk as she came
stumbling in. She opened the door and entered this room by herself."
"It's my fault," Lucas huffed in frustration. "I forgot to tell someone to lock the door."
After seeing Rowan asleep, Lucas and Leigh closed the door and left without asking for the key to lock the door. It was
unthinkable that a drunk man would be in danger while sleeping in a suite room at a club owned by Lucas.
"It's not your fault," Leigh comforted him. "The ones at fault are those who came in without permission. What does it have to do
with you when a stranger went in by herself?"
"Did you hear that?" Sebastian glanced at Arthur indifferently. "Your sister entered this room by herself."
"So what?" Arthur stormed with a livid expression. "Even if my sister was drunk and entered this room by herself, should your
friend have taken advantage of her?"
"I can smell aphrodisiac incense in this room," Sebastian remarked. "I don't think it was lit by my wife's subordinate who fell
asleep due to an alcohol allergy. In that case, the only person who could've done it is your sister—"

"Nonsense!" Arthur thundered. "How could my sister have something like that?"
"You'll have to ask her about that, then." Sebastian glanced at Allison.
"I don't know. I don't know about anything," she bawled. "I just know I was taken advantage of by a man who came out of
nowhere. I want him to die. He must die!"
"Do you really not know?" Sebastian glanced at Rowan, then at Jake. "I have an assumption."
"What did you find, Seb?" asked Lucas eagerly.
"I noticed that both Rowan and Madeline's brother are in similar attires—" Sebastian cast a meaningful glance at Jake and
Rowan.
Everyone in the room followed his line of sight. Indeed, Jake and Rowan were wearing similar-colored clothing.
"Not only that," Sebastian continued. "The two are about the same height and have similar frames. Even their hairstyles are
oddly similar—" Smirking, he deduced, "From the perspective of a drunk person who saw them from behind, wouldn't it be easy
to mistake them for one another?"
Lucas examined Rowan, then at Jake, and suddenly realized, "I understand now. You're saying that woman was drunk and
mistook Rowan for Madeline's brother, so she entered Rowan's room alone!"
"That's right," Sebastian agreed. "This explains why the room is filled with the scent of aphrodisiac incense—"
This time, he turned to Arthur and stated his speculations, "If my assumptions are correct, your sister likes Jake, but Jake isn't
interested in her. Is that right?"
After becoming crimson due to his rage, Arthur's face gradually began to lose its color. He stared at Allison in disbelief.
Shaking her head fervently, Allison denied it, "N-No! It's not like that. I didn't do anything. I was being schemed!"

"It's fine if you don't admit it," Sebastian said flatly. "Aphrodisiac incense is a contraband. Those who buy and use contraband will
face at least one year in prison. Desmond—"
He then instructed Desmond, "Call the police. Tell them someone is using aphrodisiac incense here—"
He looked at Allison again and explained patiently, "Aphrodisiac incense is costly and rarely available on the market. Once the
police intervene, it'll be easy for them to find out if you bought it—"
Her face went from one of rage and hatred to one of sheer terror.
Simultaneously, Arthur grew impatient and urged her in a low voice, "Ali, is what he said true? Is there really an odor of
aphrodisiac incense in the room? Were you the one who lit it?"
He could only smell the scent of after-sex lingering in the room, with no hint of aphrodisiac incense or anything else.
Nonetheless, he exudes an air of extreme seriousness and confidence; from first impressions alone, I find it impossible to doubt
his veracity.
Allison's face turned pallid as her lips quivered. She was unable to speak a word.
"Ali, you have to tell me the truth," Arthur urged anxiously. "He isn't lying to you. You could go to jail if you buy and use
contraband! If they report it to the police and the police discover that you purchased or used contraband, you will be arrested and
sent to jail! Do you want that to happen?"
"Not only that," Sebastian continued. "The two are about the same height and have similar frames. Even their hairstyles are
oddly similar—" Smirking, he deduced, "From the perspective of a drunk person who saw them from behind, wouldn't it be easy
to mistake them for one another?"
"No! I don't!" Allison shook her head frantically.
"Then tell me the truth!" Arthur grasped her shoulders, speaking in a tone that only they could hear. "Did you use aphrodisiac
incense?"

She hesitated for a long time before nodding reluctantly. When he heard that, Arthur's eyes grew dim with disbelief.
"So, that person's assumption was true, is it?" He glanced at his sister and muttered incredulously, "You thought the man in here
was Jake, so you sneaked in here and lit the aphrodisiac incense because you want to seal the deal and make him marry you,
but you never expected to do it with the wrong person—"
"Stop it, Jake! Stop it!" She was crying so hard she started gasping for air.
Surely, no one in the world had it worse than she did. She liked Jake, but Jake didn't reciprocate her feelings. When Allison
found out that her brother went out for dinner with Jake tonight, she wanted to join, but her brother didn't allow it. Arthur even
convinced her to give up, saying that Jake wasn't interested in someone with her personality. However, she refused to give up!
There was no doubt in her mind that she was completely in love with Jake. There was no other man she would consider
marrying besides him. So, Allison tagged along with Arthur to Club Tempest, but she refrained from going into the same room
Arthur and Jake were in. She requested a private room for herself, ordered a table of food, and began drinking to distract herself
from her worries. Unknowingly, she had consumed an excessive amount of alcohol.
When she exited the room to use the restroom, she saw a man and a woman supporting Jake and getting him into a room. She
felt her opportunity had presented itself at that moment. She had always wanted to seal the deal with Jake and force him to
marry her. Since Jake was her brother's closest friend, he would undoubtedly shoulder the blame if she had intimate relations
with him. With that in mind, she returned to her room, grabbed her handbag, and entered Jake's room.
It was dark inside the room because the curtains had been drawn, and the light had not been turned on. Allison dared not turn on
the lights for fear of waking Jake. She then fumbled in the dark to light the incense. Finally, she could be with the man she had a
crush on, and her excitement nearly caused her to pass out. Regrettably, it wasn't until after their passionate encounter that she
realized she'd been mistaking him for someone else...
