“You’re good.” Emmett stared at Elaine who was eating, and subconsciously blurt out his inner thoughts. After speaking, he was

key into Elaine’s hand.
Elaine wondered why he passed her the car key; then Emmett had already carried her in his arms.

the waiters beside them, and hid her face in Emmett’s embrace.
