Wolf kind

It's been a few years, the pack is doing great Adam and Austin are the same, besides some facial hair and a lot more muscle. I have two children the eldest Ginny is 9, and the youngest carson is 6. Both are the highlight of my life, when they behave.

"Mom" ginny yelled "in the kitchen" I answered. "Does this look right" she asked walking in. Adam and Austin started to laugh at ginny in her torn jeans, her vampire shirt, and messy untamed braids she tried to do. "You two stop it" I said to my mates, then looked back at ginny. "Come on I'll show you how to braid" I said and lead her to my bedroom.

I showed her how to braid then sent her and carson to school. When I got back home it was back to training the hunters and trackers. "Let's go move it your going to get killed doing that, or worse the alphas, luna, or future leaders of the pack" jackson yelled as I walked in the training grounds. "Damn, I think you scared him" I said walking up to him "yeah well, you have said worse" he laughed and I nodded in agreement. "So what's the plans for today" he asked "oh you know the usual" I said and he nodded waving the guys over. "Alright everyone 4 miles around the pack house then back here for the obstacle courses" I told them.

After training I decided to go for a run. "Mind if we join" Adam and Austin said in unison taking off their shirts. I giggled and nodded, we stopped at a lake to rest 3 miles into the forest. "It's beautiful" I said looking at the water, but something was off, it was too quiet normally there would be birds, bears, or some animal moving about there's nothing absolutely nothing.

That's when we heard it a wolves howl coming from the same direction as the pack house. We instantly took off back home. When we got there all you saw was blood a bodies, "around the side" Adam said leading the way, only to bump into jackson he paused for a second. Then spoke "thank God your ok" he said freaking out just as I was about to ask what happened my heart stopped. "MOOOM HELP" "DAADDY". "GINNY CARSON WE'RE COMING" I yelled hoping they heard me and ran into the fight. I shifted for the first time infront of my pack and mates ripping a wolves head clean from his body.

Making my way to my kids I tore through the rogues like it was a nice summers day. When I found them they were being carried over the shoulders of hunters from our neighboring pack. Adam and Austin caught up to me and went berserk killing both the hunters. Ginny and Carson ran to me and I shifted back and hugged them not wanting to let go. I inspected their bodies for any injuries "mom we're find" ginny said "are you sure" I asked now checking Carson. "Yes" he said with a smile "we didn't know you could shift" Adam said "you never asked" I said with a smile.

"Mom what are you going to do about them" ginny asked pointing at the alpha and his son from the pack that attacked us. I stood up pushing Ginny and Carson behind me while Adam was pushing me behind him and Austin. Austin and Adam lunged for the alpha Martin, while his son Carter came after me, ginny, and carson. I couldn't do anything if I went after him something could happen to Ginny and Carson. So I stood there using my body as a shield for my kids protecting them.

I got hit every where just as I was about to turn I felt something break. I knew it was only a matter of time before my body gave out. I closed my eyes preparing for the worst to come but it didn't. I opened my eyes when I felt arms grab me, it was Austin "I heard it no more fighting for you,you hear me" he said and I nodded closing my eyes holding on to him as he walked to the pack house.

A few hours later I woke up in the pack infirmary with worried faces all around. "Mom" Ginny and Carson said in unison I smiled and said "hi my babies". "Your awake" Adam said kissing my forehead, I nodded. "I'll get the doctor" Austin said leaving and coming back in a few minutes. "You are one strong woman you know that" he said. "You had two broken ribs but your wolf healed them not showing any sign of an injury. Your one lucky person, the would have killed just about anyone" he said. "So our mom is ok right" Carson asked "yup she is good to go just take it easy for the rest of the day and tomorrow" he said letting us leave.
