Donovon’s POV

Even though everything is happening inside my mind, but I am watching everything as a silent spectator. Ivory and Storm staring at the silhouette whose shape keeps on changing trying to conceal their true identity. But the vileness emitting from them is something that can’t be hidden.

However, Ivory and Storm don’t look phased at all. There is a look of determination fixed on Ivory like she is ready to take down whoever or whatever is in front of her. And honestly, this is scaring me the most, because I can’t bear anything happening to her.

“You should not have come here.” A snarl comes from the shadow.

I try hard to concentrate on the voice to recognize who might be this person but just the like their form the sound of the voice also keeps on changing.

“You did the biggest mistake of your life by casting a spell on my mate.” Ivory's tone might be calm however, her eyes are blazing with anger, “Now I will show you what happens if someone tries to hurt my mate.”

“You don’t know who I am, Ivory.” Shadow again speaks this time it sounds like my mom, then the voice changes to my dad, “I am much powerful than you, and I am the only one who can free your mate from this curse.” Shadow laughs.

Suddenly, a piercing scream comes from the shadow while a cold smile takes over Ivory’s lips. Whereas there is a tingling sensation running through my veins as I am experiencing Ivory's power because of our bond.

“Even now you think that you are powerful than me?” She arches an eyebrow smugly while Storm lets out a sound similar to scoff while a feeling of pride encases my heart.

“You are going to pay for it.” Now the voice sounds like Jenna’s.

“I have already paid a lot, now if there is anyone who is going to pay... it will be you.” Ivory stares at the shadow unflinchingly.

“You are too good for taking revenge, Ivory.” Shadow laughs, “Revenge is fueled by darkness and you are light...” The strange voice sounds like they are mocking her.

“Where there is darkness, there is light...” A cold expression conceals all her emotions, while the intense fury radiates off her in waves adding more to her powerful aura. But what gets me worried is the hint of darkness surrounding her radiant aura which is increasing with each passing moment. “And no light is complete without darkness.” The corner of her lips tilts upward in a smile which promises that no mercy will be given while her aura completely engulfs in darkness.

My Ivory is pure... innocent, full of love and compassion, but the Ivory which I am seeing seems nothing like my Ivory. Her eyes hold no compassion, only vengeance, and fury which is ready to burn everything and everyone in her path of revenge.

A strange fear grips my heart of losing my Ivory to her darkness.

"Ivory, I love you," I whisper inside my heart hoping that my love will reach to her, and will help my Ivory to survive her this darkness.

"Just like, I love you." I hear her voice instantly calming my fears.

Sudden energy flows through my heart as her emotions become clear and a point comes when I am feeling all her emotions just like my own. There is anger, a thirst for revenge, but among all of that, there is immense love shielded inside her heart.

Abruptly, my connection with her breaks as Storms lets out a furious growl when Ivory’s face twists in pain as I get a glimpse of Ella’s little body chained with silver while a pool of blood is formed below her lifeless body. A burning sensation swirls inside my chest wanting to rip the throat of the person who even thinks about touching her let alone hurt her in any way.

Storm voices my anger as his menacing snarl resonates through my mind as his hackles are raised ready to tear anyone limb from limb who even dared to look at our pup with evil intention.

“Do you think you can manipulate my emotions and use them against me?” Ivory laughs coldly, realizing whoever it is they are trying to playing with her emotions as they have thought her love is her weakness, “Let me tell you one thing, I am not a fool that will fall into your manipulation. Moreover, you can’t even touch my Ella. Because you have tried it once and failed, so if you want to try it again, I’d say go for it. But remember, this time her mother will be waiting for you to tear your heart out of your chest for hurting her pup.”

“You can’t hurt me, Ivory.” Shadow’s voice changes as slowly his form starts to become clear, “Because how will you fight me, mate?” I can’t help but feel shocked when I look at myself standing in front of her while there is a malicious smile present on the face of my look alike.

Who is he?

“Donovon?” A surprised gasp falls from Ivory’s lips.

I want to yell at her that it is not me, that how can she even think that it is me, but my lips are glued together as I watch pain and betrayal etched on her face.
