Winning Her Heart Again

Chapter 88: The Reason

Chapter 88: The Reason Jasmine's POV

When I went home, my son was waiting for me. He was sad and lonely. I approached him and asked him why. He looked at me with those lonely eyes that I never wanted to see.

"What happened, baby? Are you okay?" I started to caress his hair. He suddenly hugged me while I did the same.

"I missed Daddy Uncle Mom," he uttered. I let out a heavy breath and fixed his hair. I know that he's not really used to Bonding with Diego, but he's still busy right now.

"I know, honey, but your Uncle is busy fixing something in our company," I told him while he was looking down at the floor and playing with his fingers.

"When will he come home? He promised that he would be here today, but he's not," he started to question me, which I couldn't explain to him because, at his age, he still couldn't understand.

I gave him a peck of kisses on his chicks. Trying to cheer him up, but he's still sad.

"Baby, your Daddy Uncle is doing something important and we can't disturb him right now. He's In the middle of a crucial matter." I tried to explain but he shook his head. I carried him and we both sat on the couch.

"He promised to call me every day, Mom. I'm waiting for him to call me, but he didn't." David is really good at remembering words. He won't forget what you promised and will keep bothering you until you make what you say.

"Maybe he's still busy. Don't worry; I will call him right away," I told him excitedly, which made him happy. I looked at my son's face while he waited for Diego to answer the call.

You really look like your father's baby. Your eyes, nose, lips, and even your eyelashes look like his. I was a little sad because the only thing you got from me was my eyebrows.

"He's not picking up the call," he said, starting to get impatient, which is always what I noticed about him.

You really like your father. How could I forget about him when you are like a carbon copy of him? I'm not blaming my son that I couldn't forget what happened to me on his hand. I accept my son. I love him so much. I adore him more than everything in this world. "He'll pick it up; just wait, okay?" I told him, but he didn't answer the call. I tried again. David hurriedly grabbed the phone in my hand as soon as he answered.

"Daddy!" he shouted with happiness. He was so excited to see him even though he was only on the phone. He even waved to him.

"David, baby, I'm sorry I didn't pick up the phone. I just finished my meeting," he explained, and David kept on nodding to him, as if he understood what he was saying.

"It's okay, Daddy, Uncle! I missed you! When will you come back? I missed playing with you. Please come home," he pleaded, and Diego chuckled because of his cuteness.

I showed him the camera and saw how tired he was. His hair was messy, and he looked like he hadn't slept for days. I felt bad for him because I couldn't help him there.

"Are you okay?" Those were the first words that came out of my mouth, and they made him smile. Though I know that wasn't a genuine smile. The way he looked right now made him need rest.

"I'm fine. How are you guys right

there? David, don't be hardheaded to

your mom, okay?" Instead of thinking of himself, he always looks for us. I am so lucky to have

someone like him.

He's such an angel. I will always be thankful for him and for everything he does for us.

"I'm good, Daddy. Mom is tired, but like you always say, I'm massaging his forehead every night to keep her е

relaxed," he said, which surprised

me. Whenever I'm home and when we're about to sleep, he will always do that. At first, I asked him why he was doing that, but he just kept smiling at me.

Now I know that Diego was the one who told him about that.

"Good. Have you guys eaten your dinner?" He asked us. David shook his head.

"Not yet. I just got home. What about you?" I asked him. He nodded, but I knew he was lying.

"Baby, Daddy Uncle is so tired right now. Maybe we could call him tomorrow? He badly needs a rest," I said to my son. He glanced at me and looked at Diego, smiling.

"No, it's okay. I was just busy, but I'm good. Besides, I wanted to talk to both of you," he said, but he couldn't stop yawning.

You're lying. I know you're tired. Don't forget to eat your dinner, okay?" I told him. He nodded like a baby.

"Daddy, well, just call you tomorrow. I know you are tired too and you need to rest. Davis suddenly said, which made me caress his care.

My son is really understanding.

"Fine, both of you take good care there, okay? Don't worry; I'll call you tomorrow morning. Stop frowning now, okay?" he told my son, which made him nod in an instant. "Bye Daddy Uncle!" David waved his hand and blew him a kiss.

"Take care, Diego. We're waiting for you to come back here," I told him, which made him smile.

"I love you both. I'll be coming home soon. Goodnight," he said before he ended the call.

He kept on saying that whenever he was far away. David and I are getting used to him.

Let's eat? You heard him. He will call you tomorrow morning. Don't be sad now, okay?" I told him. He nodded, and I held his hand. We started walking towards the kitchen, where Cherry was preparing our dinner.

splatne kitchen,

"Your dinner is ready, ma'am," she said. She was about to leave, but I stopped her. I want her to eat with us.

"Don't go. Stay and eat with us," I told her. She happily did what I said.

This day really made me tired so bad. But whenever I'm with my son. I'm getting energetic. He's my energy source. The reasons why I kept on striving.
