Chapter 100: Good Night

Jasmine's POV

When I got home, My son was already asleep.

"Did he eat dinner before sleeping?" I asked Cherry when I saw him cleaning and placing David's toys inside the box.

"Yes, ma'am. He fell asleep while he was waiting for you here in the living room. That's why I carried him inside your room, ma'am," she told me. I sat on the couch and massaged my forehead when I saw her holding something. "What is that?" I asked her, pointing to the paper in her hand.

"It was a David drawing, ma'am." She handed it to me. It was a picture of a family. He wrote down his name, my name, and Diego's name. I smiled at it.

"Your son is such a lovely kid, ma'am Jaz. He kept on telling stories about how great mom you are and how Sir Diego takes good care of him. He's speaking like a grown man," she chuckled. Her words touched my heart.

I didn't know that she sees me that way even though I am busy with my work and sometimes I can't prioritize him when I'm tired.

"Thank you for keeping an eye on my son, Cherry." She looked at me with a broad smile.

"I should be the one saying that, ma'am. Because of you, my mother is getting better now. She was discharged from the hospital last week. I also found out that you paid her medical bills, ma'am. Thank you, ma'am Jasmine." She stood up And bowed to me. "You deserve it. You're a kind woman. A loving daughter and sister. "I told her. I could see how happy she was.

"Thank you for accepting me as a maid, ma'am Jasmine. If it wasn't for you maybe I don't know what will happen to my family. She said while wiping her tears.

I stood up and gave her a hug.

"Just let me know if you need help. I'm always here," I told her, which made her nod. After that, I went to my room to check on my sleeping son.

"You're such a lovely son." I caressed his head while a smile formed on my lips.

"You always made my day with happiness" before I went to work earlier. He asked Cherry to teach her how to cook for our breakfast. He really wakes up early to do that. That's why when I woke up, he was not on the bed.

"I love you, baby; I love you so much" I gave him a kiss on his chicks.

After that, my phone rang, and when I saw the caller, a smile formed on my lips. I immediately answered it.

"Hey," He smiled at me. He's already on the bed. Hugging his pillow.

"Have you eaten?" That's the first thing he asked me. I shook my head and showed him my son, who was sleeping deeply.

"Not yet. I just arrived earlier. How about you? Did you eat dinner?" I asked him. He nodded at me.

"You should eat. What about David?" he asked, sitting on his bed while fixing his hair.

"Later, how's the company?" I asked him. He let out a deep breath. He stared at me for a second before answering me.

I honestly missed him. I'm not used that he's far away from us.

"It's getting better now. You should eat now," he said in a husky voice while trying to convince me. I could see how tired his eyes were while resting his back.

"I will, when will you come back here? David really missed you so much," I told him which made him smile.

"What about you? Do you miss me?" He asked me while chuckling.

"Of course, I do miss you. I missed the food you always cook for us. I miss how you and David play." I told him. He smiled at me and even covered his camera for a second. "Damn, I also missed both of you. But don't worry, I'm coming back this week," he said, which made me happy. Then I felt David suddenly sit down.

"Daddy?" He suddenly uttered and stared at my phone sleepily.

"David, baby. Did we wake you?" He asked him while David was trying to get the phone from me which made me chuckle.

He really wants to talk to Diego.

"I missed you. Why didn't you wake me up, Mom? Daddy, please come back home now. I want to play with you, "Diego said in his cute vofee. Diego chuckled at his expression-his pouting.

I fixed his hair while he was busy on the phone.

Because I don't want to disturb you from sleeping, baby," I answered him. This week, he kept on talking about Diego and asking about him. When he came back home, he kept

on telling me how much he missed

him.

"Don't worry, David. I will be right there when I'm coming home this week. We could play together again." Diego told him. He stood up and turned the light off in his room.

"You see that big box over there? That's for you, and the other box is for your mom," he said, pointing at the box in his room.

"Really Daddy?! I'm so excited! I missed you so much" Diego said.

When he has meetings out of town, he always gives them as gifts. That's what David also likes about him.

'I missed you too, son; I missed

your mom. I missed both of you. Don't worry when I come back we will have a trip. I will buy you everything you want when I come back there," he said, which made David jump in excitement. Kchuckled because of his reaction.

He really couldn't resist the cuteness of my son. I just told him when he went there that there are no more Surprises, but he's doing it again.

They kept on talking until David felt sleepy again. He gave me the phone. I can see that he also needs to sleep now to get some rest.

"You should sleep now." I told him and he nodded.

"You should also eat before sleeping," he told me.

"Good night Diego." I smiled at him.

"Good night, sweet girl. I missed you. I love you" When he said that, he ended the call immediately, which made me smile.
