Wiggin Academy and the Forbidden Curse

Chapter 6: A Wish

Mako laid on her new bed that was awkward and hard unlike the one she had back home.

The student’s soft snores were filling the quiet rooms as everyone had fallen asleep early for the start of a new day, they were completely unaware of what was going to happen in tomorrow’s classes, and maybe that’s why Mako couldn’t find herself to fall asleep.

Her eyes drifted to an arched window that faced directly in front of her bed revealing the night sky that was blanketing over the entire school, thankfully that was one thing familiar to home, she had a window just like that in her room.

The twinkling night sky seemed within hands-reach and the crescent moon shined brightly while dancing all of its light onto the academy.

She didn’t know what to expect tomorrow when her first day was this difficult, and probably as confusing for everyone as it was for her.

Her main tension was how was she going to train when they couldn’t even figure out where to put her. Black smoke users had no department, no prefect, no leader to guide them like Professor Grimaldi. However, she wasn’t alone because she had Penelope who had become her friend so effortlessly, which wasn’t normal for Mako.

She had always tried to fight for friends, or even acceptance. She remembered the faces of her old classmates and how far they used to stay from her, she even had the seat in the far-end corner because some parent had complained about her child’s safety. But Penelope had felt envy when Mako told her she was a Black-smoke user.

Penelope had accepted her in mere three hours which was faster than the anyone Mako knew in her life back home. Mako lifted her head to look at her new friend who’s mouth was wide open and her blanket was kicked off to the ground.

But the thought that made her small smile disappear was, who was supposed to train her and help her understand the power that surged through her body.

Suddenly, the unforgettable sharp grey eyes flashed in front of her drowsy ones. Headmaster Wiggin could help her, but he had a whole school to take care of, Mako’s eyes began to close on their own when her last thoughts before drifting off to a familiar darkness were; how cool would it be if she got a special teacher just to train her.

And there she went into a realm entirely of her own like the rest of her classmates.
