Driving home, I am furious! “How dare she disrespect me! And fucking Athos is howling in my head in laughter! A bunny! A Goddess damned bunny! And pink! A fucking pink bunny! Cody! Dude! Shut the fuck up! It’s not that funny!” From the back seat Damon laughs harder “It is, though, man! The tail! The fluffy pink tail hanging off your ass! It was funny as fuck! And if it had been Cody…or me…you’d be rolling! Wait! Wait! I took a pic! Look!” Oh hell No! “Delete that shit, Damon! I am serious! I will Alpha Command you dude!” And my two best friends just roared! Good to know they got my back! Athos…stop laughing! No can do! I’m praying to Goddess she’s our mate! Best Day Ever! “Fuck you!”

I feel a tug on the mindlink…and release the block.. 🐺 Alpha, it’s Alexis… a girl just came in the apothecary, asking to buy another case of potion. I told her it had been discontinued..which, had you asked..I would have been happy to have told you earlier. It was my first decision, when I discovered it on the shelf. I explained to my aunt it was wrong to tamper with true mate bonds and she agreed. 🐺 Thank you, Alexis. And I appreciate that you are no longer offering it… Well…now I feel two inches tall! I dialed Helena’s number…a man answered. I asked to speak with her, and was told she is in bed with a migraine. FUCK! “Please let her know I called…and extend my apologies for being such an ass today!” And hung up! What the fuck is going on with me!!?

I walk into my office and straight over to the bar! I am in desperate need of a whiskey! I pour three glasses and had one to each of the guys. “Cody…I think Alexis might be my mate! I won’t know for certain until she’s 18… but her scent is really starting to get to me!” His eyes get huge “No! Dude! You knew this is a possibility and you went off on her like that!? Holy shit! Good luck with that!” I nodded and put my face in my hands “Yeah. I fucked up. I’m not even sure I want a mate…and I already fucked it up, anyway! So yeah…there’s that!” Damon walked over and handed me his phone…there was a picture of a painting on a wall.. I looked at it…and I looked again…. “That’s Athos! That looks just like Athos! Where was this??” He responds “That’s what I thought…and it’s why I snapped a pic of it….it’s hanging in the apothecary!”

How the hell did they get a portrait of Athos? What the hell is going on!? Just as I started to ask…a knock sounded on the door.. “Come” I said. And in walks Cynthia! Ahhh! Just the person I need to see.. but I was hoping to cool down some. But! What the hell! Let’s do this!

“Cynthia! Have a seat!” She is a pretty girl…in a plastic Barbie kind of way. She smiles “I am so happy to see you, baby!” I felt a whole body shiver…”I’m not your baby! I want you to explain to me what has been in those drinks you have been offering me, on a daily basis. And before you try to lie…understand that Athos is the one who told me not to trust them” She sputters a bit then settles on “It was just an aphrodisiac…something to enhance our experiences together. Harmless!” I nod…harmless….”I recall the first time you gave me one of those harmless concoctions.. it was after the first blowjob you gave me…and I also remember telling you it was a mistake…one that I didn’t want to repeat. Do you remember that?” She nods and starts fidgeting… I said “ And, I also found out, you have gone to Helena’s Apothecary and purchased quite a bit of a love potion she used to carry. Tell me, Cynthia…did you believe that would have me falling in love with you? Do you know what I could do to you for tampering with mate bonds?” She starts crying….and here we go..”Blake…you care about me! You know you do. Helena told me there had to be feelings there in the first place, or the potion wouldn’t work.” I jerked to my feet “Of course, there were feelings! I care about you! You are my best fucking friend’s little sister! I have known you your whole life! That never meant I was in love with you! And you damned well know that!”

Cody stood and said “Go home, Cynthia! Mom and Dad are expecting you! You’re lucky that Blake is leaving the disciplining up to them! If you ever do anything this stupid…this foolish again….you will be banished!”

I tell Cody “I want them all in here in the morning to discuss her punishment. I’m disappointed in here.. but I’m more disappointed in myself! I know better!” Cody smiles “Cut yourself some slack! She used a love potion on you! Let’s face it…we have a tendency to think with our little heads when some chick is rubbing it! And my sister has a bit of a reputation.. She’s not exactly one of my favorite people, Blake!” Damon raises his hand “I hit it and quit it! She tried getting her claws in me last year!” I sat stunned! I seriously need to reevaluate my life!

I walk over to the bookshelves and take out the book on mates! Opening it, I began reading. Cody asks “Looking for answers?” Then he laughs.. I look up saying “I need to rethink a lot of things! For ten years, I have told myself, I don’t want my true mate! And now, I’m thinking my puberty poisoned mind was wrong! And, if Alexis is my mate…I have a Lot of groveling to do! I was rude from the second I met her! And if I don’t find a way to atone, she may turn me into a bunny for good!” They both crack up! Bastards
