Whispers Of Betrayal by Camile Emest

Chapter 191

Chapter 191

“Annie…” Alastor looked at Anastasia, his voice panicked.

Anastasia knew that he had weaknesses and scars of Alastor.

Alastor’s father was the biggest trauma of his childhood.  S~ᴇaʀᴄh the FɪndNovᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Perhaps the flaws in his personality today stemmed from an incomplete family.

Once, Anastasia thought that she and Alastor were the same people. They were victims of the same world, so they needed to stick together to lick each other’s wounds and for warmth.

She thought that Alastor, like her, also wanted a family. A perfect family..

As a result, her whole life was thrown into misfortune for pitying a man.

“Go ahead,” Anastasia told Alastor to deal with his own affairs.

“Call me if you need anything, Annie,” Al

Yet, Anastasia avoided him.

reminded her as he tried to hold her hand.

Alastor’s eyes flickered with disappointment. With one last look at Anastasia, he turned and left.

Leaning against the hospital bed, Anastasia looked at the scenery outside the window.

“Do I only deserve to live alone in this world?” she wondered.

“Hmph, you’re actually in the hospital.” Alastor’s mother and Steven stood at the ward entrance.

“I heard you didn’t have an abortion at all that day. You only lost your child yesterday.” Naomi walked into the ward, full of

anger.

Clearly, she went there for the child.

“You’re truly a scheming woman. Only Alastor is willing to trust you and accept you time and time again.” Steven was a little furious. “You secretly kept his child behind everyone’s back. How can you be so vicious? Are you that shrewd because you want to steal our inheritance? Amazing!”

Anastasia frowned at Steven. “Get out.”

“Anastasia, any woman would be considered incredible for reaching the point you’re at,” Steven mocked.

“Tell me. How much money will it take for you to leave my son?” Naomi went there today to negotiate with Anastasia. “Now that the child is gone, I have it figured out. At least there’s one less potential threat. Letting a woman like you give birth to a child of the Lopez family will only bring us a greater threat in the future.”

Naomi was still comforting herself.

“I said get out,” Anastasia said in a low voice. Anastasia tried to press the bell to the nurses’ station and let them drive Steven and Naomi away.

“As long as you don’t divorce Alastor, I’m still your mother-in-law. What right do you have to drive me away?” Naomi patted Anastasia’s hand, ignoring her injuries.

“Give me an amount while I’m still speaking calmly to you. How much money will it take for you to divorce Alastor and leave him?” Naomi directly expressed her purpose of visiting once again.

Anastasia laughed helplessly.

She was the one who wanted the divorce. Even if she were to leave the marriage with nothing, she still wanted to divorce

him.

She did not expect Naomi to offer money so quickly.

“If you put it that way, I shan’t hold back, Mrs. Lopez.” Anastasia sneered coldly and leaned weakly against the hospital bed. Since Naomi was in a hurry to give money, Anastasia had no choice but to fulfill her request. “This isn’t extortion, and you offered to me willingly, right?”

Anastasia would not be easily dragged down by Naomi.

Anastasia thought, Since when did Mrs. Lopez become so kind?

Obviously, someone gave her the suggestion. Is she planning to send me to jail by framing me for extortion?”

Naomi’s face darkened. “Aren’t you delaying the divorce because you want money?”

“You can’t say that. The money I want from Alastor is the normal split from our joint property. By law, I own half of every penny he earned over the past four years,” Anastasia explained to Naomi.

“In your dreams! You’re delusional. I didn’t expect you to be so greedy.” Naomi glared at Anastasia furiously. “Just tell me how much you want. It saves trouble.”

“I don’t need your money. I will ask for it from Alastor, so you don’t have to worry about it.” Anastasia thought for a while and continued, “By the way, your son wronged me first, so he would leave the marriage with nothing. The house, money, and car are all mine.”

“Anastasia, you bitch! Shame on you!” As expected, Naomi was provoked, and she rushed forward to attack Anastasia.

“Even if it’s you, hitting someone is against the law.” At the door, Jason recorded Naomi’s attempt at assault with his phone. “I’ll pass this to the police. You can explain to them why you came to the hospital to attack an injured patient.”
