When They Beg, I Rise!

Chapter 110

Even the world of live streaming was booming now, she definitely didn't need to dip into family funds anymore.

Alaric stumbled through the door, tipsy from the night's escapades. "Lucian, you're watching her stream too! She knows exactly who I am, yet she's been stringing me along the whole time! Does she even care about me?" Lucian offered a wry smile in response. "You've only got yourself to blame, man. How did you treat her back then? We've totally crushed her; that's why she won't go back home."

"But I apologized to her, what more does she want? Lucian, I feel so choked up about it!"

Alaric was struggling with his feelings.

"Alaric, if you truly wanna make amends with Lemmy, you gotta change your attitude towards her, treat her better!"

It was only now that Lucian realized how much he had overlooked Lemira in the past.

"Have we not been good to her? Lucian, you've been in the hospital these past few days and she didn't even bother to visit you once. With her cold-heartedness, how does she expect us to be kind to her?" Alaric, drunk and disoriented, slumped to the floor, mumbling incoherently.

Lucian watched the live stream, feeling a sense of helplessness wash over him.

Because Lemmy was hurt, she couldn't bring herself to visit him.

This was his karma.

When Lemira had been kind to him, he was blind to it.

Lucian sent the streamer some gifts, dominating the screen for a good while.

When Lemira saw the name of the person sending gifts, she froze for a moment: it's Lucian.

She pretended not to notice Lucian's name.

[Ms. Lemon, are you going to the social media stars event tomorrow night?]

Lemira replied: [I'll be there.]

[Wow, is that event hard to get into? I wish I could go and meet Ms. Lemon in person!]

[Willing to pay top dollar for an invite to tomorrow's event!]

After taking a short break, Lemira went on to explain the day's PK, including the strengths and

weaknesses of various roles and et

which ones suited certain players, sharing her past life's experiences to help whoever she could.

After ending the stream, she rubbed her neck, feeling a bit sore.

Lemira stepped out of the study, heading to the kitchen for some water, and noticed Orion just arriving home at the entrance. Suddenly, everything went dark.

"How come the power's out?" Lemira asked, puzzled.

Thankfully, the outage happened after her stream had ended.

The darkness was total, and from not too far off, Orion's voice came, "I'll call the property management."

"Alright, it might not be a simple trip. I don't see any lights outside either; looks like it's a neighborhood-wide outage."

As Lemira spoke, she groped her way towards the couch but accidentally knocked over a vase.

The vase shattered on the floor, startling Lemira.

"Stay where you are!"

Orion's voice came through, both cold and urgent.

Lemira froze, unsure where the broken glass lay.

She looked up to see the dim light of a cellphone flashlight approaching.

Orion walked over, his figure shrouded in darkness, but the faint light still managed to bridge the distance between them.

"I came out for some water and didn't bring my phone. Good thing you got back in time," Lemira said.

The warmth from his body was palpable, a stark contrast to her cooler skin.

Feeling his solid muscles, so different from a girl's soft arms, Lemira experienced the thrill of being carried by a stranger for the first time, her heart racing O uncontrollably. en FindNovel
