When the Boss’ Lady Became His Sister-in-law ( Kristin and Garner )

My Ex-Wife’s Glamorous Comeback by Zenobia Nelson Chapter 39

Chapter 39

When Charlotte came back and found Zachary did not have the means to divorce her, she felt unexpected.

Charlotte thought he would handle their relationship for the engagement with

Annie.

As a result…

If Jerry’s did not stop, Charlotte would settle it down quickly. However, Jerry passed away, and Zachary did not cooperate.

In Liene City, everywhere could see the news that Zachary would host the exposition for Annie. Before, the news that Charlotte eloped with Liene City was spread in the city.

Now, Zachary spent thousands of dollars on Annie.

People’s discussions were exaggerated.

Charlotte left the city hall for the Sullivan’s house because Mary called her.

When Charlotte arrived, Mark was waiting outside, “Mrs. Sullivan is waiting.”

Charlotte nodded.

She was guided to the corridor on water, which was surrounded by green plants, and the tea table was unique.

It brought cool in a hot summer.

Charlotte sat opposite Mary. Mary poured a cup of tea for her and showed her elegance as a lady in a rich family.

Mary also took a wet towel for her, and said with a not–good tone, “Wipe yourself.”

At that time, Charlotte found she was sweating.

Mary was a neat freak.

Charlotte took the towel and wiped herself casually.

Charlotte’s unconstrained behavior made Mary look at her in a different way. Mary said, “The Lynn family is a literary family, and your grandma was very strict with

your mom.”

“I dislike restraining myself. Charlotte knew what Mary meant.

If the so–called elegance made Charlotte uncomfortable, she would rather discard the elegance.

Mary was dominant in the family, and she always restrained herself strictly.

It was because she was accustomed to such a life.

Mary could handle any situation. She did not make a reaction to what Charlotte said, and took the cup.

However, Mary did not drink, and glanced at Charlotte with deep eyes. “Your car accident three years ago seems to be complicated?”

Charlotte was very thirsty, so she drank the tea. What Mary said made Charlotte freeze.

When she looked at Mary, her eyes were complicated.

As expected. Zachary concealed it from the whole Sullivan family. Except for Jerry, who was dead, nobody knew that.

“When Mr. Sullivan was dying, he said Zachary was sorry to you.” Mary said in a gentle voice when she saw Charlotte not say a word.

Mary’s tone became more serious.

Charlotte said. “We don’t owe each other.”

Charlotte defined their marriage like this.

What Charlotte said made Mary freeze.

“You really have a clear estimation of yourself.” Obviously, Charlotte also thought that.

Charlotte darkened her face.

It was obvious that it was taboo for her in her life.

However, Mary was not malicious. Although she seemed not happy, she would not

make a malicious talk.

Therefore, when Mary noticed that Charlotte looked unhappy, she did not directly mention the memory that would make Charlotte unhappy.

Chapter 30

Mary said, “What about the baby?”

The car accident was not an accident.

So… What about the baby?

As the kid’s grandma, Mary would care about the descendant of the Sullivan family, although she was not satisfied with Charlotte.

“It died,” Charlotte said casually.

The atmosphere here was very solemn.

Mary looked at Charlotte more strictly, and even her eyes were sharp, “How did it die?”

Mary seemed to remember something, so she became colder.

“Is the car accident relevant to Annie?”
