Chapter 17 How Awkward is this Relationship
Inside the car, Susan's face flushed in red when she heard herself moan and yell.
She looked at Edward and his eyes were cold as ice. His entire person became distant and cold. When his hand slid over Susan's skin, she clenched her teeth, closed her eyes, and moaned softly.
As Jarvis heard the repeated moans, his footsteps quickened. They were clearly provoking him! His fists were clenched and his veins began to throb.
But before Jarvis could reach Edward's car... Edward started the car and drove off. He totally didn't give Jarvis a chance to do anything.
As Edward's sports car roared, Edward looked at Susan and ordered, "Turn off your phone." Susan did as she was told and she didn't speak a word. Edward also kept his silence and drove back to the Ford family villa. After he stopped the car, Susan did not get out of the car after a while and he looked back at Susan.
He went back to the car and opened the door and asked Susan, "Aren't you getting out of the car?"
"I'll get out of the car when hubby isn't angry anymore. If hubby is angry, then I'm unworthy of going home."
"Get out of the car, I'm not angry anymore." Edward's tone softened to coax Susan. But after Susan got out and walked a couple of steps, she couldn't walk any further.
Edward was walking in front and when he noticed that Susan didn't catch up to him, he turned around and asked Susan, "What's the matter?"
As soon as he said that, he realized that Susan was holding tightly onto her dress which was a simple evening gown. It was torn apart by him and even if she held onto it, the dress will slip off as soon as she walked. Edward looked at Susan, walked over, and covered her with his jacket. Thereafter he carried Susan in his arms.
Susan was very obedient in Edward's embrace. When Edward placed her in the bedroom, she changed into her nightgown and waited for him in the room. After Edward washed up, she quickly showered and then snuggled into Edward's embrace. She was particularly obedient and both Edward and Susan didn't mention anything regarding Jarvis. Susan was exhausted and fell asleep very quickly in Edward's arms. The next morning, Susan was woken up by the phone. She looked at the name displayed and frowned. She called out softly, "Hubby, your call, it's Vanessa."
She could only hear the water running from the shower and Edward did not respond.
Susan didn't take the phone to Edward but just allowed the phone to ring. The phone rang until it was cut off automatically and then it rang again as if the caller will not give up until it was answered. Susan wanted to continue to sleep and had no choice but to take the phone to the bathroom. She yelled again, "Hubby, your call, it's Vanessa."
"Answer for me," Edward said from the bathroom.
Susan thought that she had heard wrongly... He wanted her to answer the call. But what was her status, and what was Vanessa's status... for her to answer the call? How awkward was this relationship? That's why she didn't answer but only switched it to silent mode and placed it on the bedside table.
After a while, the water in the bathroom stopped and Edward walked out of the bathroom. He used the towel to dry his dripping wet hair and the water beads ran down his body. She looked at Edward in a daze as he was in good physical shape.
"Aren't you going to wipe me down?" Edward looked at the infatuated look on Susan and teased her. Susan swallowed her saliva and took a towel over to him. She also took along Edward's cell phone and handed it to him.
"Hubby, return Ms. Murray's message. I'll wipe you dry."
"Why didn't you answer the call for me?" Edward had never kept anything from Susan whether it was work or personal matters.
Susan helped to wipe Edward's body and said, "Ms. Murray doesn't know that I'm your wife that's why it's inconvenient for me to answer the call."
Edward laughed, "Then do you wish that she knows?"
"We will divorce in five months. I think it's better not to tell her. Then I'll be able to maintain my identity." After saying Susan pressed Edward to return Vanessa's call.
Because they were very close, Susan could hear every word that Edward and Vanessa said.
Vanessa was extremely tender, "Edward, I have an event near your office. Shall we have lunch together?"
"Okay," Edward replied.
"Then... I'm near to your house now, can you take me to the event location?" Vanessa hesitated and then asked.
Edward hesitated when he heard this and looked at Susan. He realized that Susan didn't appear to be listening to his conversation and had been playing with her phone after drying him up. Edward pondered for a moment and then answered, "Okay."
"Then I'll wait for you." Vanessa sounded very happy when Edward agreed.
After the call ended, she rushed to the bathroom to shower and then put on her makeup.
In fact, she already had her plans when she moved to a place nearby to where Edward lived. When she spoke to Edward, he didn't seem surprised and that meant that there weren't any issues with ... Edward ended the call and then looked at Susan. He threw a bunch of keys to Susan and said, "Choose a car in the garage."
Susan looked at the car keys and then started to play the game on her cell phone and then answered, "Hubby can go and pick up Ms. Murray. You don't have to worry about me. I'll go later and I want to go to Tina's place for a while."
Edward put on his clothes, didn't look back, and then replied, "Okay." Edward left after saying.
After Susan saw Edward leaving, she changed into something casual and also left. She went to the convenience store to buy some snacks for kids and went directly to Tina's house.
Before the door was opened, she could hear a baby voice, "Godmother, Mama is here to see me. I'm going to open the door."
"No. You must ask clearly who the person is before opening the door. What if it's a bad person?" "Okay, I will ask." Then Susan heard an infant girl's voice, "Who is it outside? Are you a baddie?" "..." Looks like Tina wasted her time educating her to be careful. Ruby wasn't that smart after all. "Then do you think mommy is a bad person?" Susan laughed as she replied.
"No!" Ruby was very happy and shouted, "Godmother, open the door. It's Mama and not a baddie."
Tina opened the door and immediately Ruby rushed out and dived into Susan's embrace and stepped on Susan and said, "Mama, I miss you!"
Susan carried Ruby into the house and placed her on the sofa. She took out the snacks from the bag and said, "Ruby, have you been a good girl?" "Yes!" Ruby looked at Susan with her big round eyes and answered adorably.000000
