The three watched them in silence until the lone woman talked. "Hey, you said she's wearing a party gown right? Since she's not
here, there's only one place she's in."
"... Where?" Aaron asked.
"On the floor directly below us," The woman laughed. "So, who's ready for the show?"
'Show? What show?' Dave asked himself. 'But whatever it is, I'm pretty sure it's not good since April's making it.'
Aaron didn't say anything, he just silently watched the two who just came in and instantly became the center of attraction.
April igroned the two after saying that and looked at the two that was sticking together like a goddamn glue.
No, it was Sheryl who was sticking at the other like a gum.
At the sight of her clinging at him like how dhe used to do during their college times makes her blood slowly boils.
To think that she saw her as a true friend during their college days but when she saw her snatching Tyler when Althea and him
was still together completely shatter her view of her.
Everyone in the college thought that she was an angel in flesh. She was beautiful and her actions were neat and elegant.
To think that she was a scheming bitch.
She took him under Althea's nose.

And here's a more unbearable fact: they were friends that time.
Or maybe it was only Althea who thought they were.
Because of that, April completely lost her trust to her, and she kept a safe distance between them. They were friends- or maybe
just like what Althea thought- who knows what kind of thing she'll use her for.
She's not a fool, like any body else.
And hearing the news of her being possibly here, a hint of excitement bubbled inside her.
Sheryl, oh the jealous Sheryl, let's she what kind of reaction you will make after seeing them together again.
---
The clinking of glasses and soft murmurs were still going but thay are much quieter than before.
It doesn't really comforts her since she can feel their stares on her back.
Sure, no one approaches her anymore. Sure, she won't get attacked by a random perverted rich person anymore.
But she instead gathered a lot of unwanted attention. And lots, and lots, of it.
Althea groaned internally and gulped down the last fluid in her wine glass.
Victoria, who was silently sipping her wine noticed this and can't help but ask. "Why hurry? Is something bothering you?"
"Nothing." She shook her head.
The other didn't believe her. She raised her perfectly curved brow. "Really?"
Taking the doubt in her voice, Althea sighed. "It's nothing, really. It's just.. a little bit suffocating in here."
"Hmm." Victoria's green eyes observed her. "Really? Maybe because of your dress. Show some skin Althea! You've been
wearing long sleeves ever since we met!"
Despite the hint of teasing in her voice, Althea showed a hesitant and uncomfortable smile. She avoided her gaze and looked
elsewhere then went to grab her wrist and slowly rubbed it with her thumb.

It was a small movement but it didn't escape Victoria's prying eyes.
Knowing that the topic is closed, forcedly, she took another sip of her glass and puts it down, changing the topic. "I don't what to
be rude, dear, but, how did you ended up here?"
"Oh, it's not rude at all." Althea smiled at her, the discomfort was gone without trace. "I came to fill in for a friend."
'A friend? She has an influential friend?' Victoria gasped. "Oh, the one you told me and my son about in the cafe! The friend that
helped you build your shop!"
Althea nodded. "It's her."
"She can't attend? It's a shame." Victoria can't help but voice out her disappointment.
She wanted to met what kind of girl is she friend with.
"She said she'll spend quality time with her husband," Althea let out a laugh. "I don't even know that her husband like that kind of
thing."
