We'll End Up In Hell Boys

Chapter 2

“I’m done!” I yelled as I clicked send to my boss. I was free for the rest of the day and I finished before 4 pm. I laid down for a bit but then I remembered that I was out of my every month necessity. Being a girl sucks sometimes. I groaned and stood up, wore my shoes and grabbed the car keys.

“Let’s go, Diva, have some fresh air before you turn into a Panda!” I muttered but then I thought for a second and realized that Pandas were cute and I didn’t mind becoming one, nevertheless, I had to go to the store.

I turned on the music and sang at the top of my lungs. My voice was uglier than usual due to my cold but I didn’t care. I was having fun all by my miserable self. It took me about 20 minutes to arrive at the nearest store due to traffic. It would usually take me about ten minutes by foot but I was too lazy and tired to do so, thus I got stuck in this annoying traffic. But it was over and I got out of the car with a smile.

“Freedom!” My dramatic self yelled and that made some passersby looked at me like I was going nuts. But not all of them gave me a weird look. A girl my age, patted my back and smiled. “I feel you, I’ve been stuck in my car for an hour!” She said and my eyes widened. An hour? I’d die. “Right?” I replied and we both laughed then went our separate ways.

I entered the store and ran straight to the candy section. It was my favorite one because it was too sweet and colorful. “I’m not cheap, Roy, I always spend more than 100 dollars on sweets.” I was talking to myself when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Roy. “Wow, speak of the devil and he’ll come running!” I cleared and then laughed.

“I’m more like an angel, Divana. And boy, you eat a lot of candy and you always stay the same weight!” He countered and I looked at my body. I was not skinny yet I was not chunky. I loved my body so much that I didn’t care what other people thought of me.

“Are you jealous?” I asked him as I looked at his body. He was not fat at all nor skinny to the bones, but his cheeks were chubby and pinchable. I always pinched them when he was in my reach because he was tall and I was not that tall.

“Very! But did you come all the way here to just buy candy?” He asked as he looked at my cart and I silently thanked him for reminding me for the real reason why I came here.

“Nope, I’m a girl and girls need stuff. Want me to elaborate?” I replied then asked with a grin. His eyes widened and he shook his head with a disgusted expression. “That’s what I thought, but more importantly, what are you doing here? You live far away from here.” I questioned and he rubbed the nape of his neck.

Roy’s eyes went straight to his cart which made me follow and I saw too many stuff but what really caught my attention was the pads and tampons. “Roy... why do you need all this stuff? I asked as I pointed at the bags. His cheeks turned bright red and he looked back and forth. Like he was thinking of an excuse.

“Um, it’s for my mom?” He responded but it sounded like he was not sure, therefore, I dropped the topic and shook my head. “Anyway, I have to continue shopping. Bye for now, talk to you later,” I said and then walked away, knowingly he was still embarrassed. But seriously though, for who did he buy them for?

I was home and it was 5 pm, I turned on the TV, brought a big bowl of popcorn and put at the candy that I bought next to me on my couch. As I was about to press play on the episode, I got a video call. I looked at my phone and saw the caller ID. “Hey girl!” I said as soon as I answered her call.

The time difference was not that bad, it was only an hour apart from Rio de Janeiro. “Diva! Are you still sick?” She asked as she saw my red nose and I nodded. “Yes, save me from my hell hole, I need you,” I dramatically cried and she rolled her eyes.

“Oh boho, you won’t die, stop with the whining. Now tell me, any cute guys?” She asked while wiggling her eyebrows.

I sighed and shook my head. “Nope, no one. Besides, I’m always at home, how I’m going to find one? It’s me who I should be asking you this!” I replied and it was my turn to wiggle my eyebrows.

“There are hot guys but none of them is boyfriend material. Besides, I want to fouse on my studies for now and then I will have fun.” She answered and I understood her point. Ismarelda was not the type of girl to mess around with boys, she was committed and wanted a serious relationship. Roy’s face popped into my head.

“Isa, you remember Roy, right?” I asked as she sat on her bed. “Yeah, the cute guy, what about him?” She cleared and I grinned. “That cute guy might have a crush on you...” I stated and her eyes widened.

She got up from her bed and came closer to the screen to the point of me seeing her freckles. “No way, really?” She asked with a smile and a sudden light bulb lit in my head. “Isa... do you like him?” I asked, patiently waiting for her reply.

She seemed hesitant at first but then she nodded. “Yeah, well, he DMed me on Instagram a couple of times and I always felt happy talking to him. Did he tell you that he likes me?” She explained and then asked with a blushing face.

“No, but when I said that he was madly in love with you, his cheeks turned red and denied quickly. He almost tripped and it was obvious.” I explained and she nodded with a smile.

“That’s nice...” She trailed off and then looked at me with a serious face. “But please don’t do anything, I want us to climb the stairs slowly and when where at the top, I will tell you,” she said and I respected her decision.

“Sure, I love you, Isa. Gotta go, my new episode is waiting, bye!” I waved my hand and then shut down my phone because I didn’t need any more distractions. The moment I pressed play, I heard the front burst open. It startled me for a second and I shut down the TV. Seconds later, three masked strangers stood in front of me. Why now? I was not done with my episode yet!
