Chapter Creation
We ended up doing the only thing that made any sense to do, tbh. We just sort of began to make a life for ourselves on the prison planet.
The planet was naturally fruitful enough that we didn’t have to toil in order to have our basic needs met, and so we started a book club instead.
Sounds really easy, right? Well, perhaps not so much.
See, Blob had destroyed any books that people’d had on them when they’d been brought to the prison planet, and so new books had to be created.
Luckily, the planet did have sufficient writing tools, and so we just had to pen some books down.
We let others know what we were doing, and soon we had lots and lots of writers who were eagerly penning down books that people could visit our book club to read if they liked.
Rishi, Bill, Alvis, Tina, and I all did our best to create books; but many of the writers who we recruited seemed to be better at it than we were, which was totally fine with us because we just wanted as much good writing to be created as possible.
After we’d been writing for several months, Blob let us know that they’d noticed our endeavor, and informed us that the copyright to all of our books belonged to them and their minions.
We were hardly surprised that Blob would pull a @!<&-move like that, but it was better for Blob to own the copyright to our books than for Blob to just destroy them and make it so that we couldn’t write at all.
And, so, we kept on writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing and writing, until Blob eventually gleefully informed us that our books were proving to everyone in the universe that their prison planets were a big success!
We didn’t like that Blob was able to hold us up as some sort of symbol of how awesome they were, but what were we going to do? Stop writing? No…
And, so, we continued our writing with more determination and steadfastness than ever before!, and wondered if our writing would be relatively inconsequential, would actually help Blob out a lot, or would eventually somehow lead to Blob’s doom…
