Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 26

Chapter 26 Get Off

However, her objection was useless.

Elijah not only kissed her but also did something else to her.

The car stopped at the entrance of Maple Villa. Cordelia tidied up herself and got out, her cheeks still red.

Elijah was so gentle and loving to her just now, making her very confused.

Surprised by his patience and gentleness, she thought, “Men are really animals dominated by desire. They can even do it gently with women they don't love.”

For a moment, Cordelia even thought this man still had feelings for her.

They entered the door one after another. Elijah lay on the sofa with his clothes on, pinching his brows.

“Cordelia, I want a massage.” Elijah waved at her.

Cordelia didn't hesitate. She walked to him but took out the phone from her pocket.

“You need to pay me 50 thousand dollars for that.”

Elijah raised his eyebrows. “You are so petty..."

He complained but still transferred the money to Cordelia.

The service Cordelia provided made Elijah feel his money was well- spent.

He praised Cordelia’s service, but Cordelia didn’t respond.

She thought, “You were unhappy to pay me, but now you think your money was well-spent! You are the petty one!”

“You must have learned a lot of tricks to please men in the past few years.” After the massage, Elijah sat up.

Cordelia smiled. “Mr. Hansen, you just enjoyed the massage, and now you want to scold the massagist?”

Elijah leaned lazily on the sofa, looking at her smirk with great interest. “I can make anyone happy if I want to. Don't you think so?” Cordelia looked away disdainfully, got up, and was about to leave.

Elijah said, “Stay here tonight.”

Cordelia froze and looked back at him in astonishment.

His eyes looked gloomy while examining her.

She understood immediately.

“It's not just tonight that you are talking about, right?”

He wouldn't let her live alone as long as Adam was still in town. He would keep an eye on her.

but she couldn't see other men!

Elijah pursed his lips and remained silent, which meant tacit

consent.

Cordelia glared at him, turned around, and went upstairs.

Adam probably didn't expect to come all the way to Beilve City but only to see Cordelia once.

After returning home, he would definitely tell his other friend about how petty Cordelia’s husband was.

Cordelia felt sorry for him, but there was nothing she could do.

She thought it was unnecessary to tell her friends that she had been married, given that she was about to get a divorce.

But now, her four friends all knew that she married young.

At five o'clock in the afternoon, Cordelia received another message from Elijah.

[I'm here. You can get down now!]

Cordelia was very surprised.

Elijah had personally taken her to and from work in the past few days. It was understandable, though. He was afraid that Cordelia would meet Adam.

But now that Adam had left, why did he still come to pick her up

from work?

Sitting in the car, Cordelia looked at Elijah with a confused look. “What's up?”

“Nothing special.”

“Then take me back to my apartment!” Cordelia said, putting on her seat belt.

Elijah’s face tensed instantly, and his eyes became cold and

severe.

“Cordelia, you are a smart woman. You should know I'm trying to make peace with you here.”

“Thank you, but it's not necessary.” Cordelia looked forward and said in a light voice, “Mr. Hansen, we've made a deal, and it would be best if we follow it through. It's not a good idea to take back what we said. What do you think?”

Suddenly, Elijah flicked the steering wheel and stopped the car on the side of the road.

“Get off.”
