Chapter 8 You Are So Hopeless
A shivering stream of magma poured from her chest to her throat, and her throat was about to dry out. Betty looked at the direction of the door, disappointed. No one was there. It meant that no one could help her.
She gripped the sheet more tightly, her eyes filled with confusion, and her palms were wet with sweat. Last time, she only said that her feet were sprained, but her sister dislocated and her and made the purple spots all over her body.
If... If she admitted it again... She was afraid that her life would be in danger. Betty didn't dare to think about it anymore. Her breath was suddenly in a mess, like a complicated line intertwined, and it was getting more and more chaotic. Moreover, at this time, Daniel was not by her side, nor did he have any nurses. There was no one to save her.
'What should I do? What should I do?' she thought about this problem again and again.
After struggling for a long time, Betty squeezed out a few dry words, "Sister... Sister, it's not me..." She thought that no matter how bold her sister was, she couldn't do anything with the monitoring in the hospital.
Betty's grip on the bed sheet loosened a little.
Seeming to see through her mind, Kate smiled gracefully, which made Betty particularly scared. She stammered with fear, "Sister, trust me. It was not me. I didn't..."
But before she could finish her words, her breath seemed to be taken away.
Suddenly.
Kate pressed her slender fingertips hard against the eye of the infusion needle.
And then billows of liquid came into Betty's body. Betty screamed in pain and was scared to lose her soul. Her voice trembled, "You... What are you doing?" She thought her sister was going to take away her infusion medicine.
"Did you poison me? Tell me the truth," Kate said again.
"No... No...I didn't do that." Betty gritted her teeth and held on. She didn't want to admit, and she was more afraid of the consequences of admitting.
A few seconds later.
Kate opened her mouth. With a long whistle, a huge hound instantly appeared at the door of the bed. It was as tall as a monster from the hell. "Tell the truth." She said to Betty in a soft voice, with an irresistible killing intent in her eyes. Yes, Betty killed her host.
She had to avenge her host.
Betty was so frightened that her legs were trembling in the quilt, and her eyes were blue with fear, and her pupils were still dilating.
"Am I right?" Kate approached Betty step by step. Her eyes were as sharp as blades, shining with cold light, and pierced through Betty's chest. Betty's body softened, and her strength seemed to be completely sucked away by a vampire.
PAK.
Kate snapped her fingers.
The hound took a step forward and stuck out a scarlet tongue. Its face was ferocious and fierce, and its eyes were as wide as bells.
"Yes...it's...me." All of a sudden, Betty's face turned gray and her trousers were wet. With a sound, she completely fainted.
Kate clapped her hands and walked out of the ward briskly, followed by a huge hound. She didn't expect that what had happened just now was completely exposed to the world of two men.
Not far behind her, two black shadows stood silently, tall and straight. David, who was flicking his fingers, looked melancholy at the place where Kate disappeared. "Mike, when will you go back to the capital city?" he asked.
"Next month." Mike, on the other hand, was as cold as ever, paying no attention to anyone or anything irrelevant.
"You planned to delay?"
"Yes."
At night.
In the magnificent football club.
Outside the dressing room, only she and Lucy had just changed into dance clothes and put on their own coats to avoid exposure. They were about to take a rest before going out. At this time, they heard someone knocking at the door.
The sound was very loud.
Then they heard a violent scream, "Kate, come out!"
"Is it Daniel?" Lucy looked at her friend and blurted out directly. She looked at her friend with confusion. Because he had never looked for Kate before.
"Tell him I'm not here." Sitting on the chair, Kate stretched out her legs and bent her arms slowly, as if she was an outsider.
"Didn't you like Daniel] very much before and stick to him?" Lucy was confused by her indifferent attitude. "You are reserved now."
Seeing that she still didn't move, Lucy said, "Just pretend. You won't be able to hold on for a while." After a few steps to the door of the changing room, she opened a small crack and said apologetically, "Mr. Gu, I'm sorry. Kate is not here."
"Don't lie to me. I have already heard her voice!" Daniel stared at the back of Lucy in anger. Apparently, he was very angry at Lucy's lie.
"She is changing her clothes." Lucy swallowed and added, "It's not convenient to meet her now."
"Now has she learned to play hard-to-get?" Daniel sneered and stared at the dressing room. Although he couldn't see Kate, he knew she was inside. How could such a trick fool him?
Bang!
Taking advantage of Lucy's inattention, Daniel pushed the door open with both his hands with great force and broke into the dressing room directly. At the moment he saw it, he found that Kate was doing some warm-up movements in a calm manner, completely ignoring his voice, and did not even look up at Daniel.
Looking at the two of them, Lucy sighed, "Kate, I'm sorry. I didn't stop him." She didn't understand why her friend became so calm and treated Daniel like this.
Lucy thought it might be a good thing if Kate didn't pester Daniel anymore.
Seeing that the heroine ignored him, Daniel, who had always been proud and concerned, couldn't stand it.
Suddenly, a fire of raging rose from his chest. Daniel pointed at Kate's nose and said angrily, "Even if you learn these tricks, I won't like you."
He was even angrier. They had conspired to deceive him just now.
That was going too far. But Kate didn't stop her small movements, and her eyes still ignored the existence of Daniel. She stretched her arms naturally and then twisted her waist.
She completely ignored Daniel who was standing not far away for a minute.
Her reaction was like throwing gasoline on a pretentious fire.
Daniel was so angry that he couldn't control himself anymore. He rushed to her and glared at her.
Kate breathed a sigh of relief. She glanced at the angry Daniel and looked directly at Lucy who was standing behind him. "Didn't I tell you that I was changing my clothes?" She skipped over him to talk to her friends and ignored him, as if there were only her and Lucy in the dressing room.
And Daniel was just a piece of air.
"Kate, you are too arrogant!" Daniel roared hysterically.
"Do you want to see me change my clothes?" Kate withdrew her eyes and said coldly. Lucy almost burst into laughter. She tried her best to press her ribs with one hand and controlled her expression, almost hurting her ribs.
"You..." Daniel was speechless. He looked at the calm, self-possessed, confident and strong woman in front of him in astonishment. 'Was this the previous Kate?
She is no longer the same woman, ' he said to himself again and again.
She seemed to have changed into another person.
A few seconds later, Daniel finally came back to his senses. He suppressed the anger in his voice and said, "Kate, Betty has bone injury and is hospitalized with purple spots all over her body. Why are you so aggressive to frighten her again?" In the past, she couldn't do such a thing.
"So what?" Kate admitted without hesitation. "You want to be a hero to save the beauty?" she asked.
"You... Tell me, what did you do to her? Why are there purple spots all over her body?" Daniel asked her aggressively again.
"God punishes the mistress." She didn't want to talk to him anymore.
"You are so hopeless. I will seek justice from your grandma." Knowing her weakness, Daniel smiled, turned around and left. It should work if he wanted to threaten Kate with her grandmother, and he had made up his mind.
At that time, Kate would tell him about the poison.
Lucy grabbed her arm worriedly, "Kate, if... What should we do if he tells your grandma?"☐☐☐☐
