Unlawful Affair With Asher Williams

Chapter 40

Asher POV

Driving down the road crazily later like a maniac, I can't even bring myself to think about what I'm doing right now. I know there's more to this, but bear in mind that I need to save her because she can't die now. Things will be messed up for me if she loses her life now.

I keep glancing occasionally at the screen of my iPad that I'm using to track her location, and I have about fifteen minutes before I get to the place. I wonder how she was abducted, and who the hell was behind it. After driving for what seems like forever, I finally arrive at the warehouse in the middle of the deserted area where no one can easily locate it, and once I step out of the car, I check the screen of the iPad to see that her location has changed again.

"Shit!" I curse under my breath and run my fingers through my hair. I'm starting to get pissed, and I'm not going to spare the bastard that's messing with me like this.

Hopping inside my car, I turn the car swiftly, and just when I'm about to leave, I sense something. Her scent is still around here, which means that they mustn't have gone far. I stop the car abruptly and hop out of it. It's hard tracing her scent since it's mixed with some other peoples', so I have to be extra careful.

Trailing the scent, I keep going farther into the deserted area until I arrive inside the woods which I've never been to, and the scent suddenly disappears. Since I'm still holding my iPad, I check the screen to find her location again, but the network here is bad and even her location can't be found anymore. I think I'm losing my mind.

Standing in the middle of the woods with many thoughts and questions running through my mind, I suddenly feel the movement of someone from a very far distance, and I quickly teleport to the place to find Adelie tied tightly to the tree.

"As... Asher..." Her voice quivers as she stares at me, with fear written all over her. Seeing her tied to the tree like a goat, anger surges through me for some unknown reason, and I slowly clench my fists and gulp down nothing. "Where are those bastards? Show yourselves to me?" I roar at the top of my voice, and soon, the rustling sound of leaves comes behind me, and I slowly turn around to see three hefty men standing behind me. "Who are you? What the hell do you want from her?" I thunder angrily, and they all glance at each other.

"Come on, don't be like that..."

"Don't waste my time, why the hell is she here?" I yell for the second time, but instead of answering me, they only giggle like they've lost their minds. What the fuck is this? If only they know who they are dealing with, then I'm sure they wouldn't want to mess with me.

"Isn't it nice that the two of you are here? I knew you would come," I quickly recognize the feminine voice to be from the bitch that bullied Adelie at the party the other time. Wow! What a nice play. But calling me here is the worst mistake of her life.

"You shouldn't have done this... You just shouldn't have," I slowly shake my head as I turn to face her, and she giggles.

"Why? Are you scared that I will kill her?" She giggles again, and I tilt my head to see someone holding a gun to the scared Adelie, and I scoff angrily.

"Why don't you try your luck?" I smirk at her, and without waiting for her to say anything, I teleport to the one holding a gun to Adelie's head, and knock the gun from his hand, kicking him to the ground afterward.

"I want to sleep," Turning to face Adelie who is terrified, I mutter to her, and her head slowly drops down as she falls asleep. It's going to be dangerous for her to see me, at least not now.

Turning to face the bastards that now look like they'd just seen a ghost, I smirk at them. It has been a while since I last tasted blood, and it has been so annoying having to drink red wine in replacement for blood, so it won't be bad sucking their blood dry, right? They smell delicious, anyway.

I advance toward the men who are now frozen on the spot because there's no way I was going to allow my meal to run away from me. One after the other, I plunge my fangs in their necks and suck their blood dry until they slump to the ground and die, leaving the bitch conscious so she can be so scared of the nightmare in front of her. Nothing is more fun than making a prey so scared before killing them. It gives this satisfaction that nothing else matches.

"Who... who are you?" She stutters as she falls on her butt and draws back from me, her forehead covered in sweat. I roll my eyes and smirk as I watch her attempt to run. If only she knows that she can never outrun the devil, then she wouldn't have even thought of running from me, because I won't have to move an inch before I catch her.

"Somebody help me!" She screams at the top of her voice that I'm sure someone would hear her even miles away from here, but too bad that even if someone was sitting next to her, they wouldn't hear her scream. Yes, that is how dangerous I am, so that is why no one should ever mess with me, or get on my bad side.

"I told you that you shouldn't have done this... Why did you invite me here? Now I'm scared that I can't spare you..." I pause to observe her reaction, and it's quite satisfying, to see her so terrified.

"Please... Please don't kill me," She pleads for her life, and I chuckle softly as I finally squat in front of her, and twist my neck making a cracking sound.

"Why should I spare you? Why should I not kill you? Would you not have killed me and Adelie if I was weak?" I ask as I cup her cheek in my palm, staring into her eyes with a smirk dancing at the corner of my lips.

"I won't tell anyone, I promise... Please don't kill me. Nobody will ever hear about it..." She pleads as she moves away from me, and I roll my eyes.

"I don't care even if you tell the whole world. Nothing will happen. Too bad that I can't spare you," My smirk suddenly disappears, and I stand up to my feet.

"Get up," I command her, and she springs up to her feet immediately.

"Take the knife," I point toward the knife laying beside her, and she slowly bends down and picks it up, holding it firmly like her life depends on it.

"I want to stab myself," I mutter as I stare into her eyes, and just like that, she raises the knife and stabs herself deep inside her stomach.

"I want to stab myself," I repeat for the second time, and she removes the knife and stabs herself again. I watch as she chokes on her blood until she falls to the ground and breathes her last. That is what she gets for messing with me...
