Unknown Life (1) (Editing in Progress)

Chapter 19.1

Two days later Wolf would be my side sitting in the chair and chatting with me as I regained full energy. When he was gone a warrior was posted outside my curtains, while another at the entrance of the infirmly. I felt at times like a sitting duck but other times I felt safe yet it was hard for me to sleep.

Wolf came and strolled toward my bed as I secretly looked at my necklace, and then back at him. He wasn’t in his usual clothes, as he wore the outfit of a warrior with a dagger strapped to his thigh. It flashed some light at me from the windows. Wolf came to my bad and saw down on the chair beside me.

“How are you feeling” Wolf asked calmly.

“I am fine, I just feel sorry since I am surrounded by some injured students” I replied. Their presence was all I couldn’t think about at times whenever the curtains were dragged back.

Wolf gave a sympathy look.

“Okay well I have some news, you apparently being transferred somewhere else.”

I scrunched my eyebrows, “uh where?”

He shrugged, “I am not sure, Madam would not tell me but she said I had to be sure and to make sure you are in good health.”

I gestured to myself, “well I believe I am okay.”

He looked me up and down, “yes I would agree.”

“Then what is next?”

He slouched leaning forward, “well we confirmed you are okay shape meaning we need to get you ready and be in the presence of Madam Mentor as she requests you.”

I looked down at my white gown, “I don’t have clothes to be prepared in” I confessed being a bit disappointed.

Wolf chuckled and brought a bag from under the bed onto the mattress as it flopped onto the sheets. I didn’t even realize it was there.

“Emily packed it for you, you change” he rose from his seat, “And I will sigh paper for your retrieval” he smirked and walked away. I light laughed as he closed my curtains.

The clothing Emily packed some sample jeans that looked dark blue and black shirt with a fit that tug tightly around the body. The jacket that was provide was a long stylish, probably Emily’s. I sat and placed some slim ankle combat boots on just enough time for Wolf to say ‘knock, knock’ behind the curtains. He looked me up and down and smiled.

“you look good, you ready?” he asked.

I nodded my head and he lead me out towards Madam office, or shall I say my mother’s office.

We walked through some slush snow and I noticed the school was dead quiet but no odd feeling.

“Where is everyone” I did a full twirl scanning every corner.

“Other are still recovering and parents taken their kids away since as you saw were badly injured during Kieran ritual spell.” Wolf grabbed my hand and gave it a soft squeeze.

“Guessing the school safety is being questioned?”

“The school is safe… it’s just one student that everybody is question to the entire family.” Wolf answered.

I whipped my head to him, “entire Equitem Draco family is being question?”

“Yes… which is why you won’t see Emily for a few days. She in the protection of her family.”

We stopped and I gazed at him in the eyes, I could understand Kieran was trying to get me and the process students were injured and warriors laid dead. Wolf and I held a gaze for a while somehow communicating through our eyes.

“Asema it’s not your fault, one of it is, Kieran is the problem and is to blame for.”

I shook my head, “yes but I came into the factor do I not… I had a feeling a vision and yet I didn’t tell anyone!”

Wolf opened his mouth but closed it allowing only cold to cut our connection.

A darkness swarmed my eyes, and soon I found myself staring at Kieran, he smiled and caressed my cheek. While I stood there unaffected. I realized I was standing in a forest when I met Wolf. Kieran smiled like me conquered something.

Mine” He whispered and darkness formed across my eyes to soon as I was standing in front of Wolf again who looked scared.

“What just happened” he urged.

“I saw Kieran but it didn’t make sense, trees and some ownership” I replied feeling dizzy.

He took my hand hastily and rushed me to Madam office.

We approached her doors and Wolf knocked with a moment of silence the door opened and we entered. Madam was stuffing papers into file and shoved it into her desk and watched as we came in and sat into opposite chairs of her. I stared at her wondered what just have happened.

She gave small smile but went down to business.

“Thank you for coming” she acknowledged both of us, “it has come to recent events that you” she guided her gaze to me, “should be transferred to a safer school, I requested a transfer and the board over there has approved. You will pack tonight and leave tomorrow morning.” He gazes moves to Wolf, “accompanied by you Wolf” her eyes slid between us, “does that make sense?”

I stared at her, “Did you really just make a decision you thought is best?” I began to fume, “first you say that I was sent to earth for protection, then leave me and when I wake, you pretend everything is okay and now you can act motherly to me. Then make decision because it is best for you when not even consulting me? Yes, it makes sense… but no” I stated planting myself firm in the chair while Wolf shifted uncomfortably.

Madam stared back at me with blank face she placed her elbows on the desk and leaned forward, “You have no say of the transfer, it is complete, you are leaving tomorrow and Wolf will accompany you. That is final” she stated leaving me no room for protest. She rose up and went over to her filing cabinet, “You may go with Wolf under supervision, walk amongst the campus to say goodbye.” Then waved us off, I didn’t say much as Wolf was already leading me out of the office encase, I started another fight.

We did walk amongst the ground, well I did with Wolf on guard, he was a bit tense though he somewhat relaxed. Roaming around the school ground, when we became cold quickly shuffled into a building and warmed up then continued. The sky that soon turned into evening with a few stars popping out of the sky. The evening wasn’t’ cold from a few weeks ago but still had that coolness to it.

We ended up circling around the fountain of Kadea which with the water was not running and the pond pool having no ice but looked freezing.

Wolf and I talked about most useless stuff as to help keep our mind off things. Soon we would have to go back to my empty dorm and pack. But I refused and made us walk as we already finished roaming the school ground.

“You know I am sorry this is all happening to you.” Wolf commented. He twirled me randomly and a smile and laughed escaped my mouth. I found myself landing into his chest and snuggled into his arms while resting my head against his chest. Hearing a slight heartbeat. I gazed up at the skies while he wrapped around me hugging me and keeping me warm.

The darkness became prominent while the stars shone brightly soon, we were surrounded by dim lights of the fountain and lanterns that were scattered around the pathway. All seeping into a cloudless night.

I did not reply but welcoming Wolf in.

My gaze to the stars though caught my attention as someone was looking down onto me, watching me. It was an odd sensation but it felt like reassurance that things would be okay even though darker times were coming.

Eyes were not visible but someone was definitely watching me. I sometimes had this feeling if watching alone at night with stars shining brightly.

I leaned away from Wolf and stared at his hypnotizing eyes. He looked utterly gorgeous; a god barely untouchable. I stepped away and out of his warm arms letting the cold to seep around me. I led him to the side of the fountain and gestured to sit down on the cold concrete slab. Gazing back up at the stars.

“Do you ever feel like someone is watching you from above like watching over you?” I asked sound like I was dazed. The corner of my eye I saw Wolf join my staring up.

“No, why?” he questioned.

I sighed, only a moment I didn’t want to feel crazy.

“Only on cloudless nights when walking the grounds at night, usually start of the term I felt that the sky was watching over me, in some way protecting me… I don’t know.”

“Like a guardian?”

I looked away from the stars to him as he was staring at me.

I shrugged, “I guess a guardian, but who? I just feel someone is watching me from above.”

Wolf pulled me closer to him and I allowed him to as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders allowing warmth to spread through my body again. He gave a soft kiss on my temple as I leaned my head into the crook on his neck.

“Well, I guess you are lucky to have someone from above looking out for you” he murmured.

I leaned into him more, I guess I did as I felt someone smile from above.
