dry them today so that I can wear them tomorrow," Lorraine said, noting the time.
It was hot, and summer clothes would dry quickly.
"I'll go with you," Logan said, putting down the laptop and grabbing his phone.
"No need. You stay and print the agreement. I noticed a pedestrian street with clothing stores less than a mile from the complex. I'll go alone," Lorraine replied. Logan didn't argue. He picked up his wallet from the vanity, took out a few hundred, and handed it to her. "Take this to buy clothes."
Lorraine pushed the money back. "I have my own money."
She didn't need much for clothes. Since she spent most of her time working in the orchard, her clothes often got dirty, so she usually bought inexpensive ones. They would usually cost a couple of dollars each, so buying a few sets wouldn't cost much.
