Chapter 30
Chapter 30
Logan and Lorraine picked the children up.
"Mom!" Luna skipped out of the kindergarten, overjoyed to see that Lorraine had come to pick her up. Still, she didn't forget to bid her
teachers farewell. She said cheerily, "This is my mother. I have a
mother now!"
The twins' mother had never shown up since they started attending this kindergarten, and the other children had asked them whether they had a mother.
Logan protected them well and forbade the media from taking photos of them. He also hadn't revealed his true identity despite regularly sending the twins to and fro the kindergarten. His name wasn't exactly a household name, so no one knew the twins were actually the Moore family's adopted children.
Anyone in the business world would be familiar with Logan's name, but ordinary citizens like Lorraine wouldn't.
The teachers nodded at Lorraine with smiles, which Lorraine returned. They couldn't help wondering why the twins didn't look like either parent. That didn't change the fact that they adored Finnegan and Luna, though. The twins were adorable and intelligent.
"Lulu!" Seeing the kids run out of the kindergarten, Logan and Lorraine. crouched and waited for them to run into their arms. Logan even tried
to stretch his arms further than Lorraine's.
To his dismay, the twins ran right past him and into Lorraine's arms. He fell silent. He could understand Luna running into Lorraine's arms. She was a little girl and absolutely loved Lorraine. It was normal for her to want her mother's embrace.
But what about Finnegan? As a boy, he'd always been on Logan's
side. How could he abandon Logan for Lorraine now?
Lorraine looked like she was holding the world as she wrapped her arms around the children. She gave them each a kiss on the cheek. before lifting them both into her arms. "Did you miss me, Finn? And what about you, Lulu?"
"Of course! I missed you so much, Mom. You woke up so early this morning that Finn and I were scared to see you gone. I thought your flew away! We only came to kindergarten after Dad told us that you hadn't gone anywhere," Lulu said.
She wrapped her arms around Lorraine's neck and told her how much she had missed her. Her voice was like music to Lorraine's ears.
"Did you miss me, Mom?"
"Oh, terribly."
This pleased Luna. She didn't ask Lorraine to wait for her to wake up before leaving in the morning. Logan had already explained to her and Finnegan that Lorraine's job required her to leave the house early in the morning..
Though Luna wanted to be able to see her parents immediately upon waking up, she knew she couldn't affect Lorraine's work.
Finnegan looked at her, thinking that she was great at sucking up to
Lorraine.
Luna returned his gaze, mentally telling him that she wasn't sucking up-she was speaking from the heart.
Logan gently tapped Luna on the forehead and pinched Finnegan's cheek. Then, he pretended to grumble, "I stretched my arms so far out and waited for you guys to run into my arms. Yet both of you went straight for your mother."
The other parents couldn't help secretly laughing at this. Some of

them couldn't hold back their laughter and let out a guffaw or two.
As Logan spoke, he reached to take Finnegan out of Lorraine's arms. You'll get tired from carrying them at the same time. They might only. be four, but your arms will ache after holding them for a long time. They're not exactly light."
"I can walk, Dad." Finnegan was satisfied now that Lorraine had held him and kissed him. He didn't need Logan to carry him anymore. He wriggled, wanting to be set on the ground.
