Under the Heiress' Facade

Chapter 651

Chapter 651

With that in mind, the interrogator straightened his posture and sternly scolded, "We're in the middle of an interrogation. Who allowed you to enter?"

Hera looked up, her cold gaze directed at him and the ID number on his chest. She then looked at the indecent photos on the table with a blank, icy expression.

She said frostily, "You're dismissed."

Priscilla couldn't help but laugh when she heard Hera. "Who do you think you are? Do you think you can fire someone just like that?"

"Priscilla, haven't you caused enough trouble?" At that moment, Augustus' powerful voice came from the doorway. He entered the room, accompanied by a middle-aged man dressed in a formal uniform.

Priscilla's expression turned sour upon seeing Augustus show up. "Have I caused enough trouble? I'm standing up for the Chime family, yet you dare say I'm making a fuss?"

"I'm not going to argue with you here. I'll settle this with you at home!" Augustus snapped.

Upon noticing their arrival, the interrogator hurried over to the middle-aged man, Joshua Olson. "Chief Olson..."

"You're dismissed from your duties. Take him away into custody for investigation," Joshua ordered before the interrogator could even say anything.

Hearing that made the interrogator freeze on the spot.

Wasn't Joshua a distant relative of Priscilla's? Shouldn't he be standing on Camille's side?

The interrogator wondered why he was being dismissed. Before the interrogator could even explain himself, two policemen already escorted him away.

Joshua reached for the handcuff keys and personally unlocked the handcuffs for Catherine. He then apologized, " Mrs. Jones, I've come to understand the situation, which was a misunderstanding. I'm very sorry for the fright we've given you."

Seeing this, Priscilla's expression darkened. She wanted to step forward and intervene. "Joshua, you're not allowed to release her-oh!"

Before she could finish speaking, Augustus held her back. "Look at yourself right now. What makes you any different from those squabbling villagers? Richard, take Mrs. Chime Senior back so that she doesn't embarrass herself any further!"

While speaking, Augustus shoved Priscilla toward Richard Chime. Richard ignored her protests and firmly led her

away.

Meanwhile, Hera helped Catherine up and said politely, "Thank you, Mr. Olson."

"You're welcome, Hera," Joshua answered with a smile.

He then continued, "I'm happy to help. Besides, this was all a misunderstanding. If it weren't for you, I never would have known that I had a subordinate who was tarnishing the image of public officials."

Joshua was Nathan's father. In the past, Hera saved Nathan's life while he was on a mission. Thus, Joshua was very grateful to her. He rushed over when he learned that one of his subordinates had captured Catherine.

Hera nodded before glancing at the photos and signature on the printed transcript on the table.

Joshua immediately understood and quickly picked up the photos and transcript. "Don't worry. I'll personally get rid of these and ensure that these photos won't get leaked. I'll also change things around here."

"Alright. Grandma, let's go back home." Hera assisted Catherine in walking outside.

"Catherine." Augustus walked over, but Catherine looked away to avoid looking at him.

Hera saw this and coldly uttered, "Make way."

Having noticed that Catherine was ignoring him, Augustus guessed she must have misunderstood him. If it weren't for his carelessness, Priscilla wouldn't have succeeded.

He stepped aside and did not persist any further. Once Hera had helped Catherine out of the interrogation room, he called out to Hera.

"Ms. Youngworth, a word, please."
