Unbreakable Love His Passion for Her Transcends Death

Chapter 445

Yara's face turned beet red as she stared at Yvette in disbelief. The once-obedient and gentle daughter had actually dared to strike her.

Yvette's hand trembled as she lowered it. "Madam Yara, I suggest you watch your mouth. If there's a next time, it won't just be a slap," Yvette warned, her voice shaking but firm. Yara stood frozen, her mind reeling from the shock. She recovered quickly, though, and lunged at Yvette, intent on retaliating.

However, several bodyguards swiftly intervened, pinning her down on the snowy ground. The once-dignified socialite was now a picture of disarray, her luxurious image shattered. "Let me go! Let me go! How dare you stop me from hitting my daughter?" Yara screamed.

The bodyguards wouldn't possibly let her go without Xavier's orders to release her.

Yvette couldn't help but find the situation ironic. Normally, Yara would never admit Yvette was her daughter, but now, just to justify hitting her, she claimed their relationship with conviction. Clenching her fists, Yvette addressed the bodyguards, "Take her away. I don't want to see her."

With her command, Xavier signaled for the bodyguards to drag Yara off the property.

Viola was in the house when she heard the commotion. "What's going on?" she asked as she came out.

"It's nothing, really. Please go back inside and rest; it's cold out here," Yvette urged, gently guiding Viola back indoors.

As Yara was dragged away, she caught a glimpse of Yvette helping Viola with a smile on her face, a scene that looked like a loving mother-daughter moment. Deep down, Yara seethed with resentment for Viola.

After Yvette helped Viola back to her room to rest, she told Xavier to rest as well. Although he returned to his small room, he continued to quietly monitor everything outside. Thinking about how Yara had kept defending Zoey today, Yvette went back to her room and took out the hair she had pulled from Yara's head at the engagement party. Then, she made a phone call. "Have you obtained Zoey's biological sample?"

Some time ago, Yvette had sent someone to obtain Zoey's biological sample to check her relationship with Yara.

"I just did today." The person on the

"Good. Please make a trip here."

After Yvette hung up, her mind was filled with Yara's words, and she couldn't help but feel downcast.

There was a knock on the door. She snapped back to reality and turned around.

Xavier stood at the door. "Yvvy."

Yvette walked toward him. "Hey. Thank you for today." She was being overly polite again.

"You're welcome," Xavier said, though his expression didn't look that bright.

Yvette thought he was upset about Yara's last remark. She explained, "Nothing happened between Jeremiah and me."

"I know." Xavier's expression softened a bit. "Come on. Let's go downstairs to rest."

"Okay."

Yvette and Xavier went downstairs

Suddenly, Xavier stood in front of her. "Next time she comes, just call me, alright?"

Yvette was momentarily stunned, unsure whether to nod or refuse. "It's okay. I'm already used to it-"

Before she could finish, Xavier pulled her into his arms. "You don't have to tolerate certain things or people."

With her face pressed against his chest, Yvette could clearly hear his heartbeat. Her breath caught, but she didn't push Xavier away. I'm fine. Promise."

Seeing that she didn't reject him, Xavier happily leaned in to kiss her. But before he could, Noah's voice came from upstairs.

"Mr. Xavier, Mom, what are you doing?"
