Two Times the Charm by Mr. Wilson

Chapter 421

Chapter 421
“Sure!” Clara agreed immediately, without a hint of hesitation.
This took Leah aback. “You agreed so quickly. Are you really that eager to leave Emmett? Tell me, is it because you’ve stopped
loving him, or are you afraid that I won’t give him the antidote?”
“You know quite well!” Clara frowned. “Leah, I can leave, and I probably won’t return to Emmett, let alone see him again. But you
must give him the antidote!”
“Look at you, worried about my man. You should focus more on yourself in the future! Anyway, I’ve said my piece. Tomorrow is
your last chance to leave, and if you change your mind... Well, you know the consequences!” Leah warned her.
Clara nodded as her hand clenched into a cold fist. “Don’t worry, I won’t go back on my word.”
In the children’s room, Aiden was busy with his homework.
Suddenly!
The door swung open, and Alex rushed in. “Bro, guess what! I think I just saw Mom!”
“Mom?” The minute he heard this, Aiden stood up from his chair. “Are you sure? Where?”
“In the house out back. I was looking for Grandma but took a wrong turn, and that’s when I saw her.”
“Why didn’t you stop her then?”
“She walked away too quickly. I couldn’t catch up, and she didn’t seem to hear me calling out to her.” Alex pouted. “Do you think
Mom doesn’t want us anymore? She came home and didn’t even look for us.”
Aiden frowned, sensing that something was off.
“Are you certain that was Mom?”
Alex thought about it and shook his head. “Not completely. It was getting dark, but her silhouette looked so much like Mom’s.”
Aiden hesitated for a moment, then decided to go check for himself. There was nothing to lose.

But if it was her, wouldn’t he be able to see Mom then?
He was about to step out when Alex followed him. “Are you going to look for Mom? I’m coming too!”
“Wait here for a bit.” Aiden patted his little brother’s arm. “I’ll go check it out first. If it’s really her, I’ll bring her back here, okay?”
Although Alex was reluctant, he agreed. “Just come back quickly. I can’t wait to see Mom!”
Aiden felt a twinge of sadness as he gazed at his brother’s eager face. He knew Alex missed their mom a lot. He even called out
for her in his sleep.
While he wouldn’t do that, he also missed Mom and wanted to see her soon.
After watching Leah leave the servant’s quarters, Clara looked around to make sure no one was watching. A thought began to
form in her mind that was growing stronger with each passing second.
She wanted to see her kids.
Who knew when she’d be able to see them again after leaving this time? Plus, Leah wouldn’t be able to get Aiden and Alex out
of the Melendez family anytime soon.
As a mother, the pain of being separated from her children was even worse than leaving Emmett.
To avoid any mishaps, Clara quickly changed into a set of black clothes, which would help her blend into the night.
She hid behind the servant’s quarters while Rose was still out, taking advantage of the empty space that even the patrolling
guards rarely visited.
