Chapter 392
Chapter 392
“Mr. Melendez...”
Suddenly, Emmett rose to his feet. “I know my own health, Ricardo; you don’t have to feel guilty about this. I’ve thought it
through. If she’s made her decision, you, as her coworker, can’t stop her! So just focus on your work. I won’t blame you for this.”
“Mr. Melendez, what I’m worried about isn’t that. It’s that your health won’t hold up! Actually, Mrs. Melendez called me before.”
Clara called him?
The moment Emmett heard it, he immediately looked at him, raising an eyebrow. “What did she tell you on the phone?”
“She asked me to take more care of you recently, afraid that you’ll turn into a workaholic when you’re upset, even forgetting to
eat and sleep. You see how well Mrs. Melendez knows you? You two are clearly very loving; there must be some secret that Mrs.
Melendez can’t express!”
Emmett frowned and sat back down, “You don’t know. I heard her say she wanted to be with Elio! And when I confronted her, she
didn’t deny it! Isn’t it normal that she’s with Elio now?”
Ricardo pouted and insisted on his own idea, unwilling to believe that Clara was that kind of person. “If you have some doubts in
your heart, why not investigate again? Don’t jump to conclusions so soon! Anyway, you’re not in the mood to do anything else
recently. Why not find Mrs. Melendez and have a face-to-face talk with her?”
Face-to-face?
Emmett suddenly laughed mockingly, waving his hand. “Forget it. I’ll get over it in a while. You can leave now.”
“Mr. Melendez...”
“I told you to leave; are you deliberately opposing me recently? Or else I’ll give you a long vacation. You don’t have to come to
the company for a while.”
“...I’ll leave now!”
After driving Ricardo out, Emmett looked out the floor-to-ceiling window.
Secret?
Clara, do you have a secret?
He suddenly laughed; he was so foolish!
After listening to Ricardo, he still had slight expectations of Clara! She’s made it very clear, hasn’t she?
His phone suddenly rang. It was a message from Matt.
“Mr. Melendez, my subordinate saw Elio driving Clara around town.”
They’re really together!
And they were boldly appearing on the street, completely not caring about the media’s lens. Were they planning to go public?
Emmett suddenly got up, pushing everything on the table to the floor.
And it included a picture of Clara in front of the computer.
The glass frame fell and shattered, beyond repair.
He clenched his fists tightly, his face becoming paler, “Clara! Don’t forget, we’re not officially divorced yet!”
Emmett picked up his phone and sent a voice message to Matt.
“Find out where they are exactly; bring Clara back to me!”
“Yes, Mr. Melendez.”
Elio drove Clara back to her previous residence. After getting off the car, he intended to follow her in, but Clara stopped him at
the door.
“You can go now; I can handle the rest on my own.”
Elio frowned, “Can’t I go in and sit for a while?”
Clara didn’t answer.
However, her backing away made Elio feel as if his heart was being cut by a knife.
He instinctively clutched his chest, laughing mockingly, “Right, it’s normal for you to be wary of me after what happened. Then
you get busy. I’ll go first.”
