Chapter Chapter Thirty-Seven
Jerry’s tiger was pacing restlessly in his head, feeling agitated by the second. “What is going on with you?” Jerry asked.
“I sense a strange feeling. There is something calling me from the pack house, and there’s a tantalizing aroma wafting from it” Silas replied to Jerry with a mouth full of saliva.
“Silas, we can’t get distracted now. We’re in the middle of a battle here.” Jerry stated with annoyance.
But Silas didn’t pay him any attention as he continued sniffing the air. As he felt the wind blow, an enticing aroma wafted from the entrance of the pack house. A young woman stood at the entrance, looking around anxiously. When Silas saw her, he attempted to seize control of Jerry’s body.
“Silas, stop! What’s wrong with you?” Jerry was barely finishing the last words when he felt Silas overpower him and shift.
“Mate.” Silas exclaimed, sprinting toward the pack house, leaving his friends battling rogues in the forest.
“Silas, stop!” Jerry yelled, but the tiger refused to listen. “They can handle the rogues; mate needs us more.” Silas responded.
When they reached the tree line, they had a better view of the girl. She was beautiful. Silas froze and roared in anger when he heard a wolf growl toward his mate.
How dare he growl at her? The girl heard both the growl and the feline roar. She moved her head glancing to the side’s when she saw the tiger and her eyes met his he could see the shock on her face she realized they were mates.
Silas wanted to make a good first impression and puffed out his chest. Jerry rolled his eyes at his tiger antics. “Really Silas trying to show off your attributes in the middle of a battle.” Jerry snickered.
“We have to look our best for our mate it doesn’t matter where.” Silas retailed to Jerry with a sly smile.
“Gosh man our mate would find us attractive even if we were limping our way to her. You don’t have to show off.” Jerry said.
“If you don’t care about first impressions I do, I want her to see how strong we are and that we can defend her from any danger.” Silas said.
" I understand Silas, but don’t you think she would be more impressed if we fought our way to her showing her our fighting skills?” Jerry wanted to kill these heartless wolves that abused their own kind and tear them apart.
“Your right let’s start with that stupid wolf that growled at her, by tearing off his head” Silas said existed.
“That stupid wolf seems to be the alpha and we will be the ones to end him, not only for what he has done but for how he threatened our mate.”
Jerry and Silas were on the same page. They will tear limp by limp of that wolf and then before he dies, they will bite down on his neck until it separates from his body. They both grinned at that though.
Silas started moving toward his mate fighting the wolves that came charging to him, when he noticed she hadn’t moved from her spot she was waiting for him there, he then glanced at the alpha wolf that was on the same spot as well why wasn’t he moving.
What was happening with that wolf then he could see the struggle on the wolfs face he was having an internal battle he knew that because his eyes were shifting from glowing gold color to light brown, and he was looking at Jerrys mate.
Eric couldn’t move at all since they saw Courtney. “Simon, move we need to get to Nataly before that tiger is heading to her, he could kill her!” Eric didn’t know what to say to convince Simon to do his bidding.
" He will not hurt her.” Simon answered with sadness in his voice.
Simon was sad because he heard Nataly when she mentioned the words mate. He knew this would happen, but he still had that small thread that tied him to Aly.
“How do you know you dumb dog” Eric said angrily.
“He is her true mate, now that he is here and her mother, she has more people to protect her from you and I will not be needed anymore, finally I will be free from you” Simon said giving Eric control of his body but not before he gave a last howl and shifted into human form.
Eric glanced at his body. “No!” he screamed. How dare that wolf disappear right in this moment when he is at war. He tried to reach him in his mind but couldn’t find him.
